Soba restaurant located along Shoten-dori in the Asahikawa area of Teine Asahi Kaze. The building has a mountain hut-like exterior and a large sign that makes it easy to spot even for first-time visitors. It is a suburban-style restaurant with plenty of seating and ample parking space in front of the building, making it convenient to use. It was lunchtime when I visited, and the restaurant was bustling with many customers. However, the staff worked efficiently and promptly seated me at a table without any wait. The menu is the same as the main branch in Hirao. This time, I ordered the "Mori Soba (770 yen)" with extra noodles (+187 yen). It was ready in about 10 minutes. As shown in the photo, the thick and slightly firm-textured inaka soba, when dipped in the tsuyu sauce, had a satisfying chewy texture. It may be a matter of personal preference, but as someone who prefers inaka soba over sarashina soba, I found it delicious. The large portion was just right for me, so I felt that the regular size might be a bit lacking. The staff's customer service was also excellent, so I recommend it to those who enjoy inaka soba.

I knew about this restaurant for a while but it was my first visit. It is within walking distance from the Teine driving license test center. It was crowded even on a weekday at lunchtime, and I waited for about 10 minutes. The soba noodles were thick and delicious, with a strong taste of buckwheat flour. I like my noodles firm, and they were cooked just right. Both the dipping sauce and soba broth were delicious. Next time, I want to try the most popular duck seiro.

Today, I had to go shopping by car, so I decided to drive there. It was Sunday, so I chose a store with a spacious parking lot. I arrived at the store around 11:10 am, and there were about 20% of parking spaces available. I parked my car and headed towards the store, which had a sign saying "Preparing." However, there were already several customers inside. The staff welcomed me in a friendly manner, despite the sign. I sat at a counter seat and ordered the "Pork Soba" for around $11, opting for the large size for an additional fee. The total came to almost $13. The dish arrived in about 7-8 minutes. The noodles were on the wider side but thin. I prefer them a bit thicker. The broth was reminiscent of meat udon broth, which is why I chose this dish. Although it was soba, not udon, it had a familiar taste that I enjoyed. However, I wished the noodles were a bit thicker and had more chewiness. Overall, it was tasty, but I prefer thicker soba noodles. I finished the meal, mixed the remaining broth with soba water, but it lacked depth in flavor. It was a decent meal, but I wonder if other soba restaurants offer a different experience. I might visit other places to compare in the future.

It's been quite a while since I last had soba here. I ordered the Mori Soba, large serving. I like my broth on the heavier side and the noodles to be thick and twisted. I'm not sure why they're twisted, but they're easy to slurp up. However, I prefer to chew them. I'll eat with a lot of chewing. The noodles have a satisfying texture. Mixing them with plenty of broth is perfect here. Thank you for the meal.

A soba restaurant located quite close to the Sapporo driving license testing center. It is along the national highway with a spacious parking lot, and it was almost full of local customers. It is a popular local restaurant as customers kept coming in during lunchtime! It is the sister restaurant of the soba restaurant that was in Sapporo Factory. The soba noodles were like countryside soba with uneven thickness, and they were delicious. I ordered the tempura rice bowl and soba set, and the tempura was quite filling. You can choose from two types of soba noodles, and I chose the one with plenty of dried seaweed, which was surprisingly delicious. The broth was flavorful and delicious! The tempura was also generous, and I left the restaurant feeling satisfied. Thank you for the meal!

I ordered the kashiwa soba and ebiten soba. It was cold outside, so it warmed me up. It had been a while since I last came, but the soba and dipping sauce are still delicious! This restaurant has a wide variety of dishes, so I am curious about their set meals besides soba. It's a popular place, so it's always crowded during lunchtime.

Today in August 2022, I had lunch with my son for the first time in a while. We visited Sakura, a hand-made soba restaurant in Teine Ward. The log house style of the restaurant reminded me of Hirao Sakura. It seemed quite popular, as we were seated promptly but there were customers waiting. We ordered the bonito curry soba, which was served in about 10 minutes. The broth was plentiful and the curry was mild and sweet, suitable even for children. The soba noodles were thick and chewy, with a unique twisted shape. They were easy to eat without putting too much strain on the jaw. I was a bit disappointed that there was only one piece of chicken in the dish. The addictive shichimi pepper on the table had a hint of sansho pepper, which I enjoyed.

Before going to the beach in Zushi, it's important to grab a bite to eat. I visited a chain restaurant near Sapporo Station around 12:30 on a weekday. There were waiting customers who wrote their names on a waiting board and waited for about 5 minutes before being seated in a spacious raised seating area. The staff at this large restaurant were efficient and provided friendly service. I ordered the lunch set menu, specifically the A ginger pork bowl and mini soba set for 990 yen. I was able to choose between wild vegetable soba or seaweed flower petal soba, and I heard that I could also upgrade to a larger portion, so I opted for the larger size. However, the mini soba turned out to be different from what I had imagined and unfortunately, there was no soba broth included. The countryside soba had a nice texture and was delicious, making me want more. The ginger pork bowl had a generous amount of pork and was satisfying, especially with the addition of a soft-boiled egg. Overall, I was pleased with everything except for the soba serving style.

It's been a year since I last visited! I ordered the fried chicken set meal with miso soup, and changed the soba to cold noodles. It arrived in about 10 minutes! First, the fried chicken is huge! There are a total of 5 pieces, with 2 really big ones! The other 3 are also quite big. The taste is a bit light but hot and quite delicious... It's a generous portion, with the option for rice refill, and I ended up having a second bowl... The cold soba noodles were delicious with thick noodles! It was a small portion, so next time I'll try the large serving... Being able to refill rice, having large fried chicken pieces, I'm glad I came... When I finished eating around 12 o'clock and left the restaurant, there were about 6 groups waiting in line! Great experience!

I visited for lunch. This place had caught my attention for a while. Finally, I'm here! It seems to be a popular spot, as there is a line. I have high expectations. This time, I ordered the "Mini Katsudon and Soba Set." You can choose the soba, and I chose the soba with plenty of mountain vegetables. The soba with lots of mountain vegetables was delicious! The noodles are flat. The katsudon was also delicious! I would like to come back to eat here again. Thank you for the meal! ♫

This store is new to me. I usually have warm soba noodles, but this time I tried the pork soba noodles. The broth here is perfect. When I make warm soba broth, I aim for this taste. It's a nostalgic flavor that I think everyone will love.

I stopped by around 1:30 pm during the GW period. The parking lot was spacious but almost full on this day. Upon entering, I was informed by the staff that only seats at the counter were available. Since there were two of us, we decided to sit side by side. Looking at the menu, most of the soba dishes were priced in the 1000 yen range. Personally, I think spending over 1000 yen on soba is only worth it for something like tempura soba, but this time I decided to order the Kashiwaseiro (1045 yen) made with chicken from Abashiri. The standout feature of this restaurant is the thick soba noodles. I usually prefer the thinner morekawa soba, but these soba noodles have a good chew to them. The soba dipping sauce was slightly spicy, and the tender Abashiri chicken went really well with the soba. For soba lovers, especially those who enjoy thick soba noodles, I highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

Sakura's soba is delicious no matter what. It has a strong texture and great flavor! I usually have warm soba, but this time I tried the cold soba for the first time. It has an even stronger texture than the warm soba! The tempura is also crispy and satisfying. However, the portion is always large and I end up leaving some, which I feel bad about. You might not be able to finish it if you're not very hungry, so it's better to go there with a big appetite. *I am definitely not a small eater, but the portions are large.

Handmade soba Sakura Teine Asuka-ten "Zaru Soba" is 803 yen, 780 yen before tax, so I think it would be 858 yen with tax...I'm not sure, but I paid with PayPay~ Recently, there are many zaru soba without the zaru, so the drainage is poor and it ruins the mood...There are more and more soba shops like that, but this place is properly good! The wasabi doesn't melt, so it's effective! I like the thickness of the garnish green onions. Smooth and satisfying. The slightly sweet dipping sauce is finished off with soba-yu. Thank you for the meal.

I thought there were no good places to eat near the driver's license test center, but Sakura opened up! Anything is fine, but it's really helpful that they are open all day. I had duck soba for 1375 yen. This is my third time eating at Sakura. I prefer hot soba over cold soba or soba served on a bamboo tray. It had been a while since I last had soba, and I remembered it being thicker, but this soba was thinner and softer. It still had a good chewiness though. The broth was sweet but also had a strong spiciness to it. It had a nice kick to it. This type of soba goes well with a broth that isn't too strong, so it was a good choice.

It had been a while since I wanted to eat soba here, so I went. I went at a slightly different time, but it was still crowded as usual, showing how popular the restaurant is. However, I was seated promptly. This time, it was cold so I tried the curry seiro with added small rice, like a curry risotto. It was delicious.

As the weather gets colder, I was disappointed to find out that the ramen shop I wanted to go to was closed. So, I ended up at a soba shop and decided to try their hot pork soba to warm up. It was delicious, with a slightly sweet broth and thick noodles. My son had tempura soba, which he enjoyed. I wish they had kakiage soba on the menu too. Overall, on a cold snowy day, the warm soba was a lifesaver.

I had always wanted to visit Sakura Soba, and my wish finally came true! The menu was so extensive that it was hard to choose. After much deliberation, I decided on the tempura soba and grated yam rice bowl. My friend ordered the mountain vegetable soba and tempura rice bowl. We also got a half-sized pork rice bowl for my child. We arrived for a late lunch, so we were able to get a table without a wait. The thick soba noodles that I had been wanting to try were so satisfying to eat. The texture was great, and I really enjoyed it. The tempura was crispy and delicious, especially with the salt seasoning. The grated yam rice bowl was so filling that I couldn't finish it all. I may have become a light eater now. I didn't try the hot soba, but I really liked the cold soba. I will definitely come back to eat here again!

"Sakura Teine Asuka Branch" is a soba restaurant located on the outskirts of Sapporo, or more like Otaru...? It is located near the driving license examination center. I originally planned to visit a popular soba restaurant in Zenibako, but unfortunately, it was temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 situation. Feeling like having soba, I decided to visit this nearby restaurant instead. The restaurant is spacious with a large parking lot. Even though it was lunchtime on a holiday, there was plenty of room inside the restaurant. Upon entering, I was greeted by friendly staff. The menu offers a wide variety of options including soba dishes, sets, teishoku meals, donburi, curry, and more, similar to a family restaurant. The signature dish is the tsukemen-style "Duck Seiro". After some consideration, I chose the "Tempura Soba" priced at 1,430 yen. The soba noodles are thick and curly, resembling hand-made noodles, but likely machine-made. They have a chewy texture with a strong bite. The tempura consisted of shrimp, smelt fish, squid, pumpkin, and eggplant. While it tasted like commercial frozen food, it was decently crispy. The portion size was generous, and I left feeling satisfied. Overall, the quality of the food was average, but considering it as a soba family restaurant, it was acceptable. The restaurant has a decent number of seats, making it convenient for customers. The service and atmosphere were pleasant. Thank you for the meal."

On May 4, 2021, since there was nowhere else to go, I visited the Makomanai Taki-no Reien cemetery to pay respects at the grave. On the way back, I stopped by Sakura for lunch. It was crowded, probably because of Golden Week. I arrived at 13:30, but the parking lot was full, with 5 other groups waiting besides me. Finally, at 14:22, we were able to get inside! I ordered the Pork and Shrimp Tempura Soba for 1430 yen, my wife got the Duck Soba for 1353 yen, and my mother ordered the Wild Vegetable Soba for 968 yen. It was delicious as always. Even if you have to wait, it's worth it. It was my mother's first visit, and she was very happy.

After renewing my license, I went to this place♪ Renewing the license involves maintaining social distance, but the atmosphere makes it hard to follow. Finally made it here! Sakura's flat soba noodles on the main street were delicious when I tried them before. Unfortunately, the shop has closed, so I really wanted to eat Sakura's flat soba noodles! Excitedly entered the restaurant! The interior had a family restaurant vibe. The place was bustling with lunchtime customers. Ordered the following: - Sansai soba for 880 yen - Duck soba for 1280 yen - Tamagoyaki (rolled omelette) - Beer Started with the tamagoyaki, which had a sweet taste. Reminded me of my mother's sweet tamagoyaki. The duck from Takikawa was used in the soba, which had a more casual feel. It was good, but maybe it didn't quite match the flat noodles. Perhaps a different type of soba would have been better. Is this different from the shop on the main street? Not sure, but there's also one in Hiraoka, I'd like to try that too. Thank you for the meal!
