After leaving my first visit to "Tarako-ya Torasouhama," I stopped by the dried fish shop I always visit in Torasouhama, "Aburagawa Shoten," only to find that the shop had changed. The location was the same, so when I asked the owner, they mentioned that they inherited the "technique" and reopened the shop. Interestingly, my first post was about "Holy Papa" from MyRebi. "Aburagawa Shoten" is a shop where the father makes dried fish and the mother manages the sales floor. They often talked about how "Hokke" from Rausu is delicious, even though they also make fish from Maehama. "Sakana-ya Honpo" is also a popular shop, and on this day, they only had "mackerel" left. The mackerel was large and priced at 400 yen, which is cheap. It may be Norwegian, but it's very tasty because of the good fat content. They inherited the technique of making dried fish from the previous shop. I hope this shop continues to thrive for a long time.

2020/9 at Tora-jima Beach Seafood Road
In front of me is the vast sea, the weather is bad and rough (゚ω゚;)
Usually, there are fish spinning around at the storefront, but on this day, due to the rain and high temperature, it was an uncomfortable day.
The dried fish were moved to the refrigerated case inside the store, waiting to be sold in a comfortable environment (゜)))
- Extra Dried Fatty Mackerel for 400 yen
It is as big as a hokke fish! It is not too fatty to be called "fatty," with just the right amount of fat and very delicious.
- Extra Dried Mackerel for 3 pieces at 700 yen
Sold in sets of 3 or 5 pieces, they are large and thick! They have a satisfying size and a moderate amount of salt. They go well with grated daikon radish with a little soy sauce.
They are big and cheap. Thank you for the meal (^ω^)

On the way back from Noboribetsu Onsen in March 2019, I decided to stop by Tarako-ya Torazouhama to buy some cod roe. I parked my car in their parking lot and since it was my eldest son's feeding time, I had some free time. While walking around near Tarako-ya Torazouhama, I came across a fish shop called "Sakana-ya Honpo." This is my second review, the first one was by the beloved Holy Papa. The title of his review was "Delicious Mackerel Feast!" The title I came up with after much thought was "Feast of Mackerel!" The shop was being run by a man around 50 years old who was serving customers outside, while a woman was working the cash register inside. This man was so friendly and cool. When I told him I wanted to buy some dried Atka mackerel, he said, "Hey buddy! I'll give you the best one we have!" What a kind man, choosing the best one for me! The special large Atka mackerel was priced at 800 yen. My wife found it a bit challenging to handle because of its size, but that man was honest! This was definitely the best one, with a good amount of fat, no off-flavors, and truly delicious. It was an emotional experience!

It's Tora-Jima Beach ^_^ I learned from the great Mr. K and bought dried fish as a souvenir! It was introduced on Jalan or something, but no one had reviewed it, so I registered as a new user σ(^_^;) Since even new store reviewers don't come this far, this is a review after some time has passed since registration. Inside, a woman was managing the place alone, and the local residents were all buying fatty mackerel! It was a pretty big mackerel, so I bought 2 pieces for 400 yen each and 3 pieces of horse mackerel for 1,000 yen! The ice packs were free, so it was a good deal ^_^ When I got home, I had the fatty mackerel grilled ^_^ It was very fatty, thick, and chewy. It had a slightly salty taste, but it was delicious ( ´∀`) I enjoyed it with my eldest daughter while drinking sake σ(^_^;) I definitely want to visit this place again if I have the chance ♪( ´▽`) Thank you for the meal ^_^1115

In the Torazouhama area of Shiraoi-cho, there is a seafood shop that takes pride in their dried fish products. The shop is compact but filled with various items. The staff are polite and suggested trying out a sample set for first-time visitors. I purchased a pack for 1000 yen, which contained three types of dried fish that I cooked and ate in two sittings. Each one had a strong flavor of the fish, making me want to buy more dried fish from this shop.
