This is a review of a takoyaki restaurant near Kushiro National College of Technology. When I entered the restaurant right at 11 o'clock when it opened, I ordered 10 takoyaki for 500 yen (tax included) and was told it would take 20 minutes. While waiting, I had a conversation with the female owner who mentioned that she had trained in a restaurant in Osaka and had permission to use the same ingredients as the Osaka branches. They don't use picks to flip the takoyaki because they use a copper plate to prevent scratching, and instead, they roll them with chopsticks. After about 20 minutes, the takoyaki was ready. I ate them at the counter where there were only 4 chairs available in the store. They offered both sauce and soy sauce to put on the takoyaki, so I divided them into 5 each. The white sauce they put on the takoyaki uses mayonnaise with a little less oil. When I took a bite, the outside was crispy while the inside was creamy. The soy sauce flavor was light, and the sauce flavor was classic and delicious. The owner recommended eating them fresh rather than reheating if taking them home. However, the crispy texture outside is best enjoyed when eaten on the spot, so I recommend that. The female owner was friendly and seemed kind-hearted. I would definitely like to visit again for this delicious taste.

In 2020, a very fun and enjoyable place is "OHtanoshige Tei"! It's a small restaurant located in a residential area, a bit hidden and hard to find without a map. It faces a park shaped like a triangle, so look carefully when searching for it. Inside, the restaurant is very small with only 5 seats. I ordered takoyaki from a middle-aged woman who seemed to be from Kansai. The takoyaki was delicious, with a nice crispy outside and a soft inside. I ordered half with sauce and half with soy sauce, and both were tasty. It's a great place to enjoy some good takoyaki!

Visited on November 22, 2019. I felt like eating takoyaki after a long time, and since I haven't seen Takoshogun in Hoshigaura recently (seems like their business hours have been reduced), I decided to revisit Tanoshigetei. I placed an order over the phone before visiting: Takoyaki for 450 yen with soy sauce and white sauce. They said it would take about 20 minutes to be ready, but I arrived a bit early around 13:30. There was only one group of customers before me. The takoyaki was as delicious as always, with a gooey filling and a piece of octopus in each ball. It's tasty, but be careful as it's hot when freshly cooked. I recently tried takoyaki from another place for comparison, and I realized that I had underrated the takoyaki here, so I decided to raise my evaluation. Thank you for the meal.

This is a takoyaki restaurant located in Otaru, Hokkaido. They also offer yakisoba, okonomiyaki, and sobameshi. I love the takoyaki from this shop. When I used to live in Otaru, I would visit this place frequently. This time, it was my first visit in a while. The takoyaki here has a soft batter, so it takes some time to cook. I called 30 minutes ahead to place my order. The shop is located in a residential area and is quite small. The owner, Mama, was as cheerful as ever. The takoyaki comes in a set of 10 for 450 yen. I ordered both the sauce and soy sauce toppings. They were piping hot, so be careful when eating. The outside is crispy while the inside is creamy. The taste, perfected by Mama's training in Osaka, remained the same. The regular sauce is delicious, but the soy sauce flavor is also amazing! It's light and easy to eat. The octopus pieces are big and chewy. I was truly impressed by the taste after not having it in a while!

"OH Tanoshige Tei" in Kushiro is a small restaurant located in a residential area. I decided to try their yakisoba, which was priced at 480 yen. The owner, a kind lady, informed me that it would take some time to prepare the yakisoba. While waiting, she offered me cold tea and I observed her making takoyaki, which looked delicious. When the yakisoba was ready, it turned out to be a bit disappointing - the noodles were overcooked and the flavor was too intense. Despite the food not meeting my expectations, the owner's kindness and hospitality made the experience somewhat enjoyable.

Visited on January 26, 2019 after work, alone. While eating Takoyaki from Takomasa General, I thought to myself, "I haven't been to Tanoshige Tei recently." So, when my girlfriend asked me to bring something on my way back, I took the opportunity to call and place an order, then pick it up. This takoyaki shop cooks the order after receiving it, so it takes about 15-20 minutes even if it's not crowded. Since I received advice from the lady before to order by phone, I've been following this style. This time, I ordered 10 Takoyaki with soy sauce and white sauce. There are options for soy sauce, regular sauce, and white sauce, which is like mayonnaise. This time, I chose white sauce. I was told to wait for about 30 minutes, so I used that time to stop by Seiko Mart and buy a 500 yen bottle of sparkling white wine. This cheap wine goes really well with this takoyaki (laughs). When I entered the shop, the takoyaki was already done. The shop is small with 4 counter seats where you can eat. The cheerful lady greeted me and I thanked her, then took the takoyaki to go. Takoyaki in Kushiro area is usually crispy on the outside, but this one is fluffy and melty, you need chopsticks to eat it. It comes with disposable chopsticks. Be careful of burns when it's hot. The dashi flavor is strong, and the sauce doesn't overpower it but still has its own taste. Is this the authentic taste? The combination with the wine was very satisfying.

I read the review and visited a restaurant in the outskirts of Kushiro City where I had okonomiyaki. To put it simply, it was truly delicious. As a person from Kansai, I even felt like having some rice because of how tasty the Kansai-style okonomiyaki was. The perfect balance between the crispy surface and the moist and fluffy texture underneath was wonderful. The flavor of the batter was also good, making it easy to finish. They also had takoyaki, but I decided to save it for next time as there was a 20-minute wait. They offer phone reservations, so I would like to use that next time. I enjoyed the nostalgic and delicious okonomiyaki very much. Thank you for the meal.

On a cold winter day in the Otaru region of Kushiro, with a slight hunger and a desire to fill my stomach with something, I found myself at a small restaurant in the residential area of Otarushike in Kushiro city. The place is a bit tricky to find, but if you navigate carefully, you'll spot a big red sign outside a regular-looking house. There is no parking lot, so you'll have to find a good spot nearby. Inside, there are only four counter seats, and although eating in is an option, the space is quite cramped. The entrance lacks a windbreak room, so the cold air from outside seeps in, making the inside feel almost as cold as outside. The owner quickly turns on a stove to warm up the place, apologizing for the cold. While waiting for the teppanyaki to cook, I decided to order okonomiyaki and yakisoba as well. It takes about 10-20 minutes for the food to be ready, during which I chatted with the owner. She is originally from Saitama and trained in Osaka before moving to Kushiro. She shared her fond memories of Kushiro and her desire to live there in the future. The yakisoba arrived first, with thick noodles and a sauce that complemented the vegetables well, enhancing the natural flavors. The okonomiyaki, although simple, had a nice thickness and a fluffy texture, with a good balance of cabbage crunchiness. The quality was good for the price, but given the location and low customer turnover, I couldn't help but worry about the business. The owner mentioned that students from the nearby Kushiro National College of Technology often visit, but I hope her passion for Kushiro will continue to drive the business. I look forward to returning for some takoyaki next time. Thank you for the meal.

Auntie runs the okonomiyaki and takoyaki shop "OH Tanoshige-tei" in Osaka, where she trained. It's located in a quiet alley near the Seven Eleven at the Oorakuke Bunki intersection, just like the previously reviewed "Seiyotei." The interior has a counter with only 5 seats, but it can get crowded quickly with just a few adults sitting down. However, many customers order by phone and then take their food to go, so it's not usually a problem. Today, I ordered the okonomiyaki (400 yen) for eating in and 10 takoyaki (420 yen) to go. Both were cooked right in front of me. The okonomiyaki took some time to cook on the hot plate, but I didn't mind. In the meantime, I chatted with the auntie and had a great time. I love the close-knit atmosphere of small shops like this. The takoyaki was quickly cooked in a copper plate grill, resulting in crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Both dishes were delicious. The prices are reasonable for students, and the auntie's cheerful smile makes it a pleasant place to visit. Another great addition to the casual dining options.

I have eaten takoyaki and okonomiyaki from this place a few times in the past year, and it really tastes like the real deal from Osaka. I don't think you can find authentic takoyaki and okonomiyaki like this anywhere else. And the prices are cheap too! The owner trained in Osaka and cooks very carefully. Definitely try it out! You can even call ahead to have it ready, but I prefer watching it being cooked on the spot so I just go without calling. You can also get takeout, but I recommend eating it fresh on the spot! The female owner is also very friendly. You should definitely go try it out!

I arrived at the restaurant around 12:30 in October 2022. There were no customers before or after me. I had made a reservation over the phone and was told it would take 40 minutes. I was excited to visit Tanoshige Tei, my favorite takoyaki place in Kushiro. I ordered takoyaki (soy sauce flavor), yakisoba, and okonomiyaki. For the takoyaki, you can choose between sauce or soy sauce flavor, and I prefer soy sauce. The staff were very friendly when my companion went to pick up the order. The food was piping hot when we got it, almost too hot to handle. The yakisoba contained cabbage, pork belly, onions, and bean sprouts with just the right amount of sauce. The okonomiyaki had cabbage, pork belly, and a thin layer of sauce that complemented the dish well. The amount of pork belly in both dishes was on the lighter side but still delicious. The okonomiyaki was so good it made me crave rice. The takoyaki was hot enough to burn your mouth, with the perfect size octopus inside and a tasty white sauce-like mayonnaise on top. It was light and easy to eat a whole plate. Although slightly oily, the takoyaki was delicious. Overall, the food leaned more towards snack than a full meal. I recommend making a reservation and enjoying the freshly made dishes when you visit this restaurant.

Enjoy freshly made takoyaki inside the car. The outside is crispy, while the inside is soft and creamy. The octopus is present and the subtle broth flavor spreads gently in your mouth. It's a half soy sauce and half sauce flavor, both light and easy to eat. It takes about 20 minutes to make, so phone reservations are required.

After leaving the salty pork bowl restaurant, I went to a takoyaki shop nearby to buy some beer to go with it. The lady at the takoyaki shop seemed like an angel after dealing with the salty pork place. I forgot to take pictures of the menu and the shop's exterior, but I ordered takoyaki and okonomiyaki. The lady asked if I wanted soy sauce or regular sauce for the takoyaki, and I chose half and half. The soy sauce was a new experience for me, and it was delicious with a hint of dashi. The mayonnaise on the takoyaki disappeared by the time I got home, but I remember it being special. I accidentally ordered the okonomiyaki on the richer side, and it was a bit too strong for my taste. It went well with the beer though. I will definitely come back for more.
