I visited at 1:30 pm and had the place to myself with no other customers. I ordered the intriguing oil noodles for 780 yen. It arrived in about 5 minutes. The energetic owner served it, instructing me to mix it well. The dish had cabbage, watercress, bean sprouts, carrots, and green onions. The noodles were similar to ramen. It seemed like soy sauce with added oil. With plenty of vegetables, the dish was not heavy with oil and was refreshing to eat. I enjoyed this type of oil noodles. Next time, I might try the hormone ramen. Thank you for the meal.

I had been curious about this place for a while, but hesitated because of its appearance. I finally decided to visit and found that the interior was surprisingly calming, filled with Showa retro goods. It was my first time there, so I ordered the most popular dish, the Tonkotsu Miso Ramen for 850 yen. The friendly owner made it with care. The creamy pork bone soup with a white miso base had a good balance of flavors. The chewy medium-thin noodles paired well with the soup. I couldn't stop eating and managed to finish the soup somehow. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, so I was pleasantly surprised by how satisfied I felt. I look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you for the meal.

Today I went on a drive to Enbetsu and wandered around Shinotsu looking for lunch. I stumbled upon a ramen shop I had never been to before. The interior of the shop had a retro feel with old signs and toys displayed, giving it a unique atmosphere. The shop seemed to be run by the owner alone, and I sat at the counter. I ordered the number one popular dish, tonkotsu miso ramen. It took about 15 minutes for it to be served. The ramen had a lot of bean sprouts, two thick slices of chashu, menma, and green onions. The soup was thick and had a good pork bone aroma that was mild and delicious. It had a bit of spiciness that kept it interesting. The noodles were cooked firm, just the way I like them. The bean sprouts were crunchy, and the chashu was thick and tasty!

This is my third time coming here, I remember coming here a long time ago and the taste was not bad... so I decided to stop by again! The retro atmosphere inside the restaurant is still strong. I think last time I had the abura soba. I can't remember (;´゚д゚) This time, I was tempted by the "limited edition" and ordered the "Iriko Miso Special"! Honestly, I wasn't that hungry, but they say there's always room for ramen (*゚ε´*) So, I tried it!... I couldn't really tell the difference between this and regular miso ramen, but it was delicious ( ゚∀゚)人(゚∀゚ ) Delicious is justice! There were four pieces of seaweed and two slices of tasty chashu, it was great! It's a bit of a trek from Sapporo, just before entering Shin-Totsukawa, but I think it's worth a visit. The exterior of the restaurant looks flashy, but inside it's just a regular ramen shop!

In June 2017, I visited a restaurant located along a straight road between Tsukigata and Urashibetsu, towards Shin-Totsukawa. The restaurant stood out with its old-fashioned enamel sign on the exterior, catching my interest. In my experience, such restaurants with unique names and appearances often disappoint when it comes to ramen. However, I decided to give it a try. Inside, the restaurant had an even more impressive sign than the exterior. I asked for permission to take a photo, which was kindly granted. I ordered the Miso ramen for 630 yen. The soup, made from pork, had a base of red miso with a slightly sweet and refreshing flavor. It was accompanied by lightly stir-fried bean sprouts, well-seasoned bamboo shoots, and rolled chashu pork. The noodles were Sapporo-style with high water content, giving them a chewy texture. Overall, it was a classic Sapporo-style miso ramen that was well-executed, considering the price. The generous set menu and large parking lot seemed to cater to truck drivers, as suggested by the clientele of mostly young, burly customers on the day of my visit. As a collector myself, I found this restaurant to be a great place to enjoy a delicious bowl of ramen while admiring the retro signage. I will definitely stop by again as a lunch spot during my trips between Sapporo and Asahikawa, which are about 2.5 hours apart.

I often drive along Route 275 for work. On a day off, I visited a drive-in style restaurant on the way from Tsurunuma Michi no Eki to Shin-Totsukawa, where I had been curious about their "Black Soy Sauce Ramen" sign. Upon entering, I was impressed by the retro atmosphere of the place. When I ordered the "Black Soy Sauce Ramen," the owner mentioned that their soy sauce is actually black. Feeling a mix of anxiety and anticipation, I took a look around the nostalgic interior filled with old signs, Oromamin C, Misora Hibari, and a shelf displaying Tetsujin 28-go. There was even a low table with a bottle of Milinda (a drink that turns your tongue bright red) on top! The wait was short, and soon the ramen arrived. Indeed, the soup was black, most likely from burnt lard. There was burnt lard along the rim of the bowl. The taste, however, was just like regular soy sauce. Overall, it was a nostalgic experience at this retro restaurant that allowed me to immerse myself in the Showa era atmosphere.
