The restaurant offers dishes based on Australian cuisine, and since it was breakfast time, there were various options to choose from for egg dishes, ham, sausages, bacon, bread, tomatoes, and avocados with different cooking methods and combinations. Even with the same combination, in a hotel, the type of bread and presence of jam can add a European touch, so looking at the menu photos reminded me of a super popular breakfast-focused restaurant in Karuizawa, which made me excited.
Upon entering, the staff kindly guided me to a seat of my choice. As I enjoyed selecting from the menu, I appreciated the warm and attentive service, which felt fantastic. Although the river was not visible from my seat, the riverside decor was stylish, comfortable, and calming. Ordering was done through a mobile app, a method that seems to be increasing in popularity lately, just like the rise of self-checkout machines in supermarkets. Nevertheless, I believe the presence of staff in a restaurant is still very important.
I had a few questions, so I asked the staff about the types of tea available before ordering through the mobile app. I enjoyed a plate of scrambled eggs, perfectly cooked and delicious sausages, which were cut vertically for easy eating. The bacon was the type I prefer, with a tasty lean texture. The scrambled eggs were served on top of the toast, and I was advised to add crushed avocado on top for a great balance; it was very delicious. The iced café latte also had a strong coffee flavor, which I enjoyed.
I often pass through Seiseki-Sakuragaoka Station when taking the highway toward Izu, and I always liked the atmosphere of the town, thinking that I wanted to stop by someday. My wish came true, and since I had an appointment nearby, I was very satisfied with the delicious breakfast and left the restaurant early.
The restaurant offers a points system, giving a bonus of 300 points when you register. There is a multi-story parking lot on the opposite side of the river where the restaurant is located. However, it seems they didn't consider directing visitors through the back, so walking from the parking lot requires quite a detour. There is also a level parking area, but it was full and appeared to be quite popular. Although it involves walking, there is parking available, making it convenient for those coming by car.
