On the occasion of the 9th anniversary, I came to enjoy deer meat and delicious side dishes. There is a reviewer who says it has a "strong taste," and it is true that the seasoning is on the salty side. But it goes well with alcohol and puts you in a good mood. I'm a bit of a chicken because I can't order "oolong tea" (laughs). I enjoy the appetizers, so it's fine. Even after 10 o'clock, the place is still crowded. I, a solo drinker, eagerly squeeze into a seat at the back. I don't mind the bright atmosphere, but it's not my favorite. (*´o`*) < Excuse me, sister! One more drink, please! ◇ Plum wine sour (¥350) is sweeter than other places. It's delicious, but why is that...? ◇ Appetizers (¥300?) - Bean sprout namul: Refreshing and slightly spicy. A classic dish. - Celery pickles: Lightly sour and not too acidic. I'm not a fan, but I enjoyed it. - Chicken skin gyoza: Full of umami. Even a bite oozes with meat juice. ◇ Tatakii warabi (¥300) I don't really know what it is. But! It's water-boiled warabi with a sweet and sour fruity sauce and bonito flakes. It goes well with sweet plum wine! ◇ Fried tofu with leeks and cheese (¥250) It's really delicious! The fried tofu soaked in dashi, the steamed leeks, and the melty cheese are all delicious! ◇ Ezo deer stew (¥780) It's really delicious! The bowl is smaller this time, but it's packed with chunks of deer meat. Each piece has a satisfying bite, and it's a perfect score. Thanks to the baguette, I could enjoy every drop of the stew's juices. The owner has a deer hunting license. (Of course, he also prepares the meat himself.) Deer prefer dark places, so he has to go hunting early in the morning. A cardboard cage... a cardboard spear!? That's all I could catch with my ears. If you're interested, please go to the owner directly and ask him. Once again, I had a delicious and fun discovery. I watched the guys next to me enjoying the charcoal-grilled deer meat with envy and settled the bill. (Charcoal-grilled deer meat is not on the menu, so make sure to check with the owner or sister when ordering.) Thank you for the meal♪-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Although I live nearby, I had been waiting for the right opportunity to visit. I stopped by after work, but it was less than an hour before closing time. (laughs) Owner... I'm here for the deer meat this time, so I don't plan on getting too drunk. I took a seat at the counter. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was cozy, with regular customers, families, tipsy men, and various conversations going on between the owner, his wife, and the customers. I felt a bit out of place. However, there were various menus and signatures all over the place. From local TV and radio programs to actors like Takaichi Nakai and competitive eater Angela Sato. (The owner said, "Angela ate about 5kg of deer meat," which is amazing!) The owner and his wife were friendly and talked to me, a first-time visitor. It felt like a typical izakaya, and I borrowed the menu. ▽ Honey yuzu sour (¥400) Surprisingly sweet and easy to drink. ▽ Appetizers (¥2??) Daikon simmered dish, grilled fish, and simmered butterbur. Three homely simmered dishes. It's less than 300 yen for the appetizers, and the taste is excellent. Each ingredient has absorbed the delicious broth. It might be the first time I enjoyed butterbur simmered dish, which I usually don't like. ▽ Fried tofu with leeks and cheese (¥150) The leeks steamed inside the fried tofu, combined with the sweetness and stretchy cheese, create a perfect harmony of flavors. This devilish menu made me, who dislikes leeks, say, "It's delicious, owner!" ▽ Ezo deer meat stew (¥780) A stylish presentation that looks like part of a lunch set. It comes with two baguettes, which is a nice touch to enjoy every bit of the stew. The red meat of the deer, simmered in a beef stew-like manner, is tender and juicy. The small deep dish contains large chunks of meat that are tender and fatty. I was able to savor every corner of the stew thanks to the baguette.
