I was looking for a restaurant nearby because my limited Tabelog points were about to expire, and I found that the Tanguen I often visit in Nerima appeared in the search results. I thought it might be a mistake since there is a takeout-only Tanguen Deli at Emio, but it turns out there is a dining location. It opened on November 11, and there wasn't even a sign outside the building yet. The atmosphere inside is similar to the Nerima location.
I made a reservation, but perhaps because it hasn't been widely advertised yet, it was not crowded. My family of three (including one elementary school child) ordered my favorite Tantamian with a large serving, a cheese-filled spicy Mapo Tofu (mild spice level as per my child's request), and one order of vegetable gyoza (5 pieces). Additionally, they have a buffet-style chicken and ginger congee and egg soup, which is great for snacking while waiting for the main dishes and adjusting our appetites.
The Tantamian featured thin noodles in a rich sesame soup with coarsely minced meat, which was really delicious. The cheese Mapo Tofu was eaten up quickly by my child. Personally, I prefer regular Mapo Tofu at a medium spice level. The vegetable gyoza had a thicker skin, was crispy on the side that was fried, chewy underneath, and juicy inside, which tasted even better than what I remembered from the Nerima location.
My family left feeling completely satisfied, and our bill came close to 3000 yen, so I’d love to go once a month. Next time, I plan to try their lunch menu.

The recommended lunch was very filling. The dim sum was also delicious. The congee from the buffet had a nice ginger flavor that I really liked. The glass bowls were very stylish and boosted my mood. The interior of the restaurant was new and clean, and the staff were very kind and pleasant.

I had the all-you-can-eat Peking duck course when the restaurant opened. Everything, including the abalone I ordered as an addition, was delicious. The staff's service was also very attentive, and I had a wonderful time. I'm happy to have a place nearby that I would like to visit frequently.
