Wandering new curry mania / rookie ramen mania, a solo middle-aged man. This is a memo-like review from the old man. If you want to see concise information about the restaurant and food, please move on to other people's reviews around here. I visited this place to cool down the heat of the soup curry, which was spicier than I thought. Of course, I had known about this place before, but it's my first time visiting. Previously, they used to offer a drink-included "sweets buffet" for around 2,500 yen. I wonder if they have stopped it now. (I later confirmed that it ended at the end of January 2020). The price of cakes has also been increasing year by year. The floor that was previously operated by multiple shops is now only operated by "Machimura Ranch" and this place. The zone where the shop used to be has been renovated, and seats have been added, but it's still full! Even if they try to improve the situation slightly, if they were to hold a "buffet" that would lead to long stays, the restaurant would be overflowing with waiting customers... I think there was a time limit of "1 hour and 15 minutes". When I think of "Kinotoya", I think of the "Om Parfait" as the representative dish. It's a favorite of the sweet tooth (medium-spicy mouth) old man. But this time, I'll have something cold. The location is on Odori West 3-chome in Chuo Ward. It's on the first floor of Odori BISSE. I entered around 2:50 PM (Sunday). Judging from the atmosphere, more than half of the people seemed like "tourists" and the remaining 40% were locals. Since the noisy tourists who used to make up the majority have almost disappeared due to the corona pandemic, it's a bit calmer now. It seems to be a rule to secure a seat and then place an order. [Companion] - Grazing Milk Soft Serve [Old Man] - Strawberry Pudding Soft Serve, total 1,178 yen (408 yen + 770 yen). The "Strawberry Pudding Soft Serve" has surprisingly heavy top soft serve, so you need to be a bit careful when carrying it as it can tip over. In the old man's taste, the "Grazing Milk Soft Serve" has a strong "milk" flavor as the name suggests, and the aftertaste is light and refreshing. By the way, the milk is from the "Kinotoya-owned ranch" in Hidaka-cho. Compared to that, the "Strawberry Pudding Soft Serve" is slightly more dense, so the "cream" feeling is more prominent than the "milk" feeling. However, it's not too heavy or lingering in the aftertaste. The fresh strawberries, berries, and strawberry pudding are made rich to complement each other, hence the denser texture. And the milk here is from Biei-cho. The "Strawberry Pudding" is more like a pudding that has solidified, but it's surprisingly gooey. This was unexpected. The strawberry flavor is not too strong in the pudding, so it seems like they have added "fresh strawberries and berries" to enhance the taste. Well, it's not called a parfait, but it's prepared like a parfait. It's a bit more expensive than the usual soft serve. It's 770 yen including tax (for eating in), so it can't be helped. Compared to that, the price of the "Grazing Milk Soft Serve" feels higher.
