JR Tennoji Station is just a few minutes' walk away, located along a main street. The first floor sells bread and has a limit on the number of people allowed inside. Customers wait outside one after another. The second floor is an eat-in space. Overall, each bread item is large but reasonably priced, including tax: Fig and Walnut Rye Bread for 380 yen, Panini for 280 yen, Anpan for 170 yen, Baked Tiramisu for 250 yen, and Homemade Meat Sauce for 250 yen. The Fig and Walnut Rye Bread, cut into quarters, is quite large with soft and fluffy dough, mild rye flavor, and dry figs and plenty of walnuts for a satisfying texture. The Homemade Meat Sauce has a rich sauce packed with the umami of vegetables and meat, topped generously with cheese. The Anpan here is not round but in a Coppepan style, with a perfect balance of sweet red bean paste and saltiness. The Coppepan shape may be easier to eat than a round one. Plastic bags are provided for free.

When I visited around 5 o'clock, the selection was quite limited. I thought this shop offers good value for money. The custard-filled bread, a classic item, had a crispy outer layer and a soft inside, although the cream wasn't overflowing. The bread itself was slightly sweet.

【Visit Date】September 10, 2023 【Order】Homemade curry bread, coarse ground sausage and onion gratin, grilled chicken skewers After lunch, on the way back from the reservation, I extended my walk to Abeno and purchased some bread for breakfast the next day. I didn't know there was a famous bakery near the station. As usual, I bought curry bread and a bread that caught my eye. The next day, when I tried them, they were quite delicious for the price. Thank you for the meal.

Thank you for always viewing this page. If you enjoyed it, I would be happy if you could bookmark the store by clicking the "Save Store" button. Looking for a souvenir for my wife in Minami! After searching various options online, I decided to visit BienSur for the first time. The address of BienSur is 2-4-44 Abenosuji, Abeno-ku, Osaka City, a 5-minute walk from JR Loop Line "Tennoji" Station. It is selected as one of the top 100 bread shops in the Foodlog Bread West 2022. I arrived at the store around 1 pm with Google Maps in hand. Closed on irregular days, opening hours are from 8:00 to 20:00. It's great that they open from 8 am, which is convenient for the local residents. The first floor is a bakery, and the second floor is a cafe. They will warm up the deli bread for cafe customers. One of the recommended items at the store is the Malasada Hawaiian donut. After disinfecting both hands with alcohol at the entrance, I got permission for photography and then used tongs and a tray to choose my favorite bread and lined up at the register. There is a wide variety of bread, always displayed with freshly baked bread. This time, I was reminded that my wife can have up to 3 pieces, so... Husband: Malasada Donut (Plain), Milk Stick, Meat Miso Yakisoba Bread, please. Malasada Donut (Plain) for 180 yen, Milk Stick for 180 yen, Meat Miso Yakisoba Bread for 250 yen, total of 610 yen. It's nice that the prices are within a range that I can afford for everyday use. I'm very interested in the cafe on the second floor, but since I'm already full and this is a souvenir for my wife (^_^;), I paid and thanked the staff at BienSur before leaving the store! --- Back at home --- The freshly baked bread is wrapped in paper, with different packaging depending on the type of bread. I took a photo under the sunlight after arranging them nicely. As soon as I opened the bag, I could smell the good scent of wheat. I shared it with my wife. Malasada Donut (Plain): A classic Hawaiian donut! Made with fermented dough, it has a fluffy texture compared to regular donuts. It's simply delicious. Milk Stick: A sweet and fluffy bread with natural yeast dough filled with milk. The milk, like butter, gently comes out from inside, and it's delicious. Meat Miso Yakisoba Bread: A deli bread with a salty natural yeast dough filled with meat miso yakisoba. The crispy cheese on the surface, the meat miso inside, and the crunchy fried egg at the bottom make it a satisfying deli bread. The deli bread that had the most reduced quantity... is highly recommended! Husband: Thank you for the meal! It was delicious! I will come back again! P.S. I revisited during the opening hours on another day. The freshly fried curry bread had a deliciously juicy filling! Thank you for reading until the end. I hope this gourmet information can be helpful to you in some way.

I haven't really bought much bread even though I've come to Osaka. Compared to Kyoto, it feels like there are fewer bakeries for the size of the city. Although there are many bakeries in department stores, you hardly see any bakeries around the department stores. This time I visited the Tennoji area and decided to try out Bianchul, which had high ratings and was conveniently close to the station. The shop is located along Abeno-suji, about a 2-minute walk from Abeno Bridge subway station. I purchased two bread items and could use the second-floor seating area by purchasing a drink. The bread I bought was: Milk France (180 yen) - A very light and mild French bread with a creamy filling that was not too sweet, perfect for pairing with a cafe au lait. Choco Marron (260 yen) - A very fluffy and moist bread with small pieces of chocolate and chestnut mixed in, creating a delicious combination. The prices were reasonable considering the quality. The atmosphere in the seating area was normal, with mostly women in their 30s and I was the only man. The menu offered typical drinks like coffee, cafe au lait, tea, and juice, with a 50 yen discount when purchasing bread. I ordered an iced cafe au lait, which was priced at 400 yen but only cost me 350 yen with a generous portion. It was a good deal and I felt comfortable as a solo male customer, so I recommend giving it a try. However, since it's a popular spot, it's advisable to check beforehand if the seating area is available.

"Bien Sûr" in Abeno Ward, Osaka City is located a 5-minute walk south from Tennoji Station on Abeno-suji, or conveniently close to Abeno Station. The bakery was selected as one of the "Top 100 Bread Shops in Japan 2022" on Tabelog. The interior is stylish, albeit a bit small, with a good selection of items. The second floor serves as an eat-in space where you can enjoy coffee and other drinks. I tried the "Milk Stick Chocolate" (190 yen tax included), which is a sweet and fluffy chocolate bread made with natural yeast dough, filled with milk chocolate cream and chocolate. The bread dough was delicious. I also had the "Malasada Donut (Plain)" (180 yen tax included), a classic Hawaiian donut made from fermented dough, resulting in a light and fluffy texture with a simple yet tasty flavor. I previously tried their croissant and cream cheese curry bread, and all items were incredibly delicious. Considering the location, quality, taste, and price, the cost performance is quite high. This bakery has become one of my favorites, and I look forward to visiting again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the bakery after 4 PM on a regular day, so the selection was quite limited. I bought a salted bread and a gratin bread. The salted bread was fluffy, but lacked buttery flavor. Personally, I prefer a more crispy texture with a lot of butter, so I might not buy it again. The gratin bread was also fluffy and had a nostalgic taste. Danish pastries are available in the morning, while hard bread is usually ready around noon, so the best time to visit is around lunchtime when there is a wide variety of choices. They accept cash only.

I visited this store looking for breakfast bread on Saturday around 4:30 PM. Some items were already sold out, but I found a "Brown Rice Bread" instead. I was about to head to the cashier when I saw a cream puff with the store's name on it! And it was the last one! Thank you! The payment was cash only, and the bag was free. I toasted the Brown Rice Bread, and it was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, with a unique texture from the brown rice. It was delicious. The 3rd Generation Bianchur with custard cream was also tasty, but I wished there was more cream in it. It was reasonably priced at 90 yen. Next time, I want to try the deli items. Thank you for the meal.

The number one favorite is the Ham Cabbage. I also like bread that is more like side dishes, so I decided to try the number one favorite Ham Cabbage here. It was even more popular than I expected. Both the side dish bread and sweet bread were almost sold out. I managed to buy the Melon Pan. Yes, it is delicious. I think I will have Melon Pan for breakfast tomorrow too, so I bought three. It was a great decision. Thank you for the meal. I am looking forward to tomorrow as well.

In the shopping street of Abeno Sujin, there is a popular bakery with a cafe called "Bien Sur" in Osaka, Abeno. The cafe is located on the second floor and is open from 10:00, with a focus on trans fat-free products. On this day, I visited in the morning and tried their classic "croissant" and "homemade curry bread". The croissant was crispy and light, with a more pronounced aroma than the sweetness of the wheat. The curry bread had a mild homemade curry filling that paired well with the soft and chewy dough, making it delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Osaka mom's favorite phrase? No, no, even ossan loves "Tomorrow's Bread," so I went inside the shop to look for it. Since it was evening, the selection was limited, but I chose three items. Peanut and walnut anpan (100 yen) - small and round, reasonably priced, with a sweet and fragrant taste! Cream cheese curry bread (290 yen) - a mild curry with cheese added for a smoother taste! Malasada donut (180 yen) - a Hawaiian specialty and the shop's recommendation, with a fluffy texture and just the right amount of sweetness. The sugar on the surface may have melted by the next morning? The combination of classic items and slightly unique ideas is interesting and addictive. It inevitably makes you want to come back for more. There is also a cafe on the second floor, so next time, I might enjoy a cup of tea while having freshly baked bread. And of course, I will buy "Tomorrow's Bread" to take home. Thank you for the meal. Nearest station: Abeno Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line, just south from Exit 1.

The bread here is so delicious that it's incomparable to other stores! Especially the melon pan and curry pan are amazing. The melon pan is soft and fluffy even after biting into it, with a crispy exterior. The curry pan has a thick dough with a crunchy coating, and the dough is chewy, making you satisfied even with less curry inside. The sweet curry goes perfectly with the bread. I also tried the baked tiramisu, which had a cheese center surrounded by a donut-like hard baked dough with layers like a canelé. It had a sweet and slightly bitter honey soaked in, becoming richer as you eat towards the center. When you reach the cheese center, its unique flavor spreads in your mouth, complementing the sweetness of the honey until the last bite. I've never had bread like this before. I relaxed in the café space on the second floor with a cup of coffee. On another day, I tried the cream pan and maple French bread.

I visited a popular bakery and tried their peanut and walnut anpan for 100 yen. It was an affordable option for my bread tasting journey. The nutty flavors were rich and satisfying. As I traveled around Osaka and Kyoto, I noticed that Kansai region has many retro-style coffee shops. The bakery was located next to an old coffee shop that seemed to have closed down, but it still had a nostalgic Showa era charm.

On a holiday afternoon, I visited a bakery located about a 3-4 minute walk from JR Tennoji Station, across from Abeno Q's Mall. The first floor of the shop can accommodate up to 5 people. Even though it was 12 o'clock, I was able to enter smoothly. I tried the Sausage Gratin for 260 yen including tax, which had plenty of sausage and the mayonnaise complemented it well. The crispy cheese with a hint of salt was also good. I also tried the 3rd Generation Bian Suru for 90 yen including tax, a fluffy bread with custard inside. It had a mild sweetness and a gentle taste of egg. On the second floor, there is a cafe where you can eat in. When purchasing bread, there is a discount on drinks. The deli bread starts from the 200 yen range. Thank you for the meal.

I went around 6 pm on Saturday. I was a bit late, so there were not many items left, but I bought some for breakfast the next day. Before eating, I warmed everything up in the toaster oven. - Milk Stick 180 yen (tax included): Milk-like butter oozes out from the inside, and it was very delicious. - Melon Pan 180 yen (tax included): I usually don't like melon pan because it's dry, but this one was crispy, not too sweet, and I ended up liking it. - Cheese Curry Pan 290 yen (tax included): Some places have sparse curry inside, but this one had a generous amount. The cheese made the spiciness mild and just right. - Sausage Gratin 260 yen (tax included): It had sausage and onions inside. The crunchy texture of the onions was sweet and very delicious. The cheese around the bread was also delicious. Everything was better than expected, so I want to visit earlier next time and try other bread as well.

Visited on Saturday at 12:30 pm. There was no wait, and I was able to enter smoothly. You can purchase bread on the first floor and enjoy it in the eat-in space on the second floor, but this time I didn't have time so I quickly bought it for takeout. - 3rd generation Bianshur (90 yen) Cute size, reasonably priced product named after the store. It's a snack bread with fluffy bread and lots of custard cream inside. - Anpan (180 yen) I love anpan, so I bought this without hesitation. The combination of bread and red bean is of course good, but the bread itself is delicious, so I regret a little that I didn't buy milk sticks sold next to it. Next time, I would like to try eating in more leisurely and buy various other breads. * Cash only.

I recently started wandering around the Tennoji area because my commuting route changed. Today, I finally visited "Bian Suur" that I had been wanting to go to. I arrived around 6:30 PM, so there were only a few bread left, but luckily I was able to buy the grape bread that I had been looking forward to. It was very delicious. I will definitely visit again.

The reputation of this cafe is good and it's close to my house, so I always pass by it. I was curious because there are often lines during cafe hours, so I decided to stop by once. I arrived at 9 am and it was just empty so I was able to leisurely make a purchase. Every type of bread I tried was delicious, freshly baked. I especially recommend the panini, quiche, curry bread, and mille-feuille. Next time, I want to try using the cafe space on the second floor.

I noticed that I could also go from Tanimachi 4-chome to Abeno Harukas by bus, so I decided to take the bus. If you ride both the subway and the bus on the same day, you get a 100 yen discount. However, the bus kept going and I ended up at Abeno 4-chome after passing Abeno intersection. I decided to take a break anyway, so I stopped by Boulangerie Biensur. I bought a chocolate bread on the first floor and then moved to the second floor with a tray to order a drink. If you buy bread, you get a 50 yen discount on the drink. The Chocolat Noir had more chocolate than I expected, making it quite sweet. I wish I could have tasted more of the bread itself. Next time, I'll try the baguette or bacon epi. The iced cafe au lait still felt expensive even with the discount. The lighting on the second floor was dim and it didn't seem very clean, so the eat-in area was not great. Chocolat Noir 260, Iced Cafe au Lait 400 (with a 50 yen discount)

Second visit. The cafe on the 2nd floor where you can eat in opens at 10 am. Bought different items this time. The Raisin Bread for 260 yen was especially delicious. It had a crispy Danish texture and a sweet coating. Even my wife, who doesn't like raisins, said it was delicious. Also tried the Black Pepper and Ooyama Ham for 280 yen, Panini for 310 yen, Milk Stick for 180 yen, and Green Onion Galette for 260 yen. New evaluation criteria (reviews without this information are based on the old criteria): 5 points = Hall of Fame 4.5 points = I would go back even if it's far away 4 points = I want to go back multiple times 3.5 points = I would go back again 3 points = I would go if I have the chance 2 points = Probably won't revisit 1 point = Definitely not going back.

On Saturday, we visited the Nagai Botanical Garden to admire the hydrangeas, and then made a stop at Tennoji. It was just before 2 pm, past lunchtime, so there was only one customer in the bread section on the first floor, allowing us to leisurely choose our bread. We decided to take the bread we bought to the cafe on the second floor. There were about 4-5 groups of customers on the second floor, but my wife and I were able to comfortably sit at a table for four. We enjoyed the ham cutlet sandwich, malasada, and walnut raisin & cheese bread one by one. The ham cutlet sandwich was simple and tasty, the malasada was fluffy and paired well with granulated sugar, and the walnut raisin bread had a creamy cheese flavor that was quite addictive. My wife chose the ham cabbage sandwich and malasada, with the malasada being her favorite.
