I arrived in Terada-cho and visited the okonomiyaki restaurant that was selected as one of the top 100 stores in 2023! The okonomiyaki with plenty of green onions was amazing! Today's restaurant is "Tapioka Shokudo"! The restaurant has counter seats, table seats, and tatami seats. The smell of their delicious sauce fills the air! I ordered the "Negiyaki" (with beef and green onions) for ¥1250 (or with mixed green onions for ¥1320) and the "Yakisoba" (with pork) for ¥700. The Negiyaki was packed with green onions, creating an impressive visual impact! The fluffy texture and the aroma of green onions spread in my mouth with each bite. The Negiyaki with beef had a rich umami flavor, while the mixed green onions version had a luxurious combination of seafood like squid and shrimp, pork, and more. Both were delicious when enjoyed with the flavorful sauce or with ponzu and mayonnaise. The Yakisoba had smooth and chewy noodles, which were incredibly tasty! This okonomiyaki restaurant offers impressive dishes with a rich aroma, delicious dough, plenty of green onions, and a satisfying portion size. It was a delightful experience from start to finish! I highly recommend visiting this restaurant!

Visited on Sunday at 11:55. The restaurant was almost full. It took 20 minutes for the food to be served. The negiyaki (green onion pancake) had a substantial amount. Well, considering the amount of green onions used in cooking, it's not surprising, but the thickness was impressive. They also grilled other items like a mix, and they seemed to have a similar thickness. I ordered a half & half, with ponzu sauce and salt. Both were quite tasty, but I found the salt easier to use as dipping the ponzu sauce each time was a bit of a hassle for me.

(TヮT)σ))))) Kansai TV, Channel 8 (TヮT)σ))))) Tomorrow 9/12 (Thursday) at 8:00 PM, "Yasutomo and Tomokochi's Kimetsuke" will feature okonomiyaki (^O^)❒ Don't miss this week's "Seyanen" on Saturday, it's going to be so much fun!! Make sure to set your recording and don't miss it! And tonight, I went to "Tapioka Shokudo" b(ˊᗜˋ*)❑" I was in the mood for okonomiyaki more than negiyaki today, so I ordered a simple Mixed Tamago: - Kimchi from Ikuno (not too spicy) was delicious! - Stewed tendon for 520 yen: Whenever I come to "Tapioka," I always end up ordering a dish with tendon. It has a nice sweet and savory flavor without being too strong. - Mixed Tamago (pork, shrimp, squid) for 1,070 yen: Delicious!!! The fluffy, tall dough cooked on the griddle next to the simmering broth. The broth is generously incorporated into the dough, making me feel even happier... I love broth (⁎ᵕᴗᵕ⁎)ホッコリ From the first bite, I felt warm and cozy. The combination of pork, shrimp, and squid flavors sealed in this "Mixed Tamago" is not just a mix of ingredients, but a luxurious mix that makes me glad I chose all three (≧◡≦) Whether it's modern or negiyaki, everything is made possible by this "broth dough," and it's fun to simply enjoy the dough ※ This fluffy dough topped with that mountain of green onions is "negiyaki," a specialty of Tapioka Shokudo, so I'm in awe of its greatness. Ah, now I feel like eating negiyaki... Ah✧٩(ˊωˋ*)و✧ Thank you for the meal today. See you tomorrow on Kansai TV!

I went after 1 PM. There were daily specials, but I had only one choice. I had the beef and green onion stir-fry set meal with a large bottle of beer. The mountain of green onions, when grilled on the hot plate, brings out their sweetness and compresses them. The sweet and savory beef tendon adds to the deliciousness. I chose a sauce and ponzu sauce for dipping. The green onions tie everything together, making it light and easy to eat as much as you want. With a large beef and green onion stir-fry, rice, miso soup, and beer, I was full and satisfied. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Tapioka Shokudo. A popular okonomiyaki restaurant in Terada-cho. I always thought I couldn't get in because it's always full, but on my third attempt, I finally got a seat. I should have made a reservation from the beginning, but I always go on a whim. That's just how my life is. This time, I visited before 5:30 PM and luckily they had a seat available until 7 PM with a reservation condition. I didn't do any research beforehand, so I randomly ordered Modern and Negiyaki. The Modern didn't feel particularly special, but I really liked the Negiyaki. The difference between Negiyaki and Okonomiyaki is that Negiyaki is usually thinner, but here it was thick like Okonomiyaki because of the generous amount of green onions. For the flavors, you can choose two out of ponzu sauce, salt sauce, dashi broth, and regular sauce to have a half and half combination. I usually prefer soy sauce, but this time I tried ponzu and salt sauce. Ponzu was the winner. Tsukune Negiyaki 1250 yen. Pork Modern 910 yen.

Today, I went to "Tapioka Shokudo" with my drinking buddies. There were four of us, so we were able to order a lot of dishes, which made us very happy! We ordered crispy shredded skin with ponzu sauce, grilled sandfish with salt, suji omelette, kimchi yakisoba, large suji negi yaki, Tapioka modern (pork, squid, shrimp, octopus, scallop, fried egg), avocado nori wasabi, and sobameshi. We ate so much, but each dish had a unique flavor and texture that we couldn't resist. The lineup at "Tapioka Shokudo" is truly impressive. The crispy shredded skin with ponzu sauce was a perfect summer dish that instantly increased our appetite. The salt-grilled sandfish and the suji omelette with suji simmered in sauce and wrapped in fluffy eggs and topped with plenty of green onions were amazing. The kimchi yakisoba was hot and delicious. The main dishes, suji negi yaki and Tapioka modern, were served in large portions and were a hit! The beer was flowing and everything was so delicious! We got carried away and ordered too many carbs, so we quickly felt full and slowed down. The avocado nori wasabi and sobameshi were both tasty. On the way home, we were filled with happiness and joked that we wouldn't be able to eat anything tomorrow. It was a truly satisfying meal! Thank you!

Today, once again, it's okonomiyaki time. I went to "Tapioka Shokudo" in Terada-cho with my blogger friends to have a good time! It's not a tapioca shop, but an okonomiyaki restaurant! This place is famous for its negiyaki, with plenty of green onions, and it was recommended on TV and social media, so we made a reservation to visit. There are both regular tables and sunken kotatsu-style seating, with plenty of seats available. On this day, four of us had a kotatsu-style table for our okonomiyaki drinking party. - Sukiyaki Omelette (770 yen): A mountain of sukiyaki omelette with plenty of beef tendon! A great start to our meal. - Butatama (750 yen): A thick but light and fluffy butatama (pork and egg) dish. The yamaimo (Japanese mountain yam) makes it creamy and the finely chopped cabbage gives it a nice texture. - Sukiyaki Yakisoba (1170 yen): Yakisoba noodles with plenty of crispy green onions. Delicious for sure! - Negiyaki (1250 yen): The highlight of our meal, the famous negiyaki with a mountain of green onions! We couldn't resist taking photos while it was being cooked. The thick negiyaki is super crispy with a gooey batter and the sweetness of the green onions is irresistible! We ordered all four sauce options - salt and mayo, dashi (additional 120 yen), ponzu, and regular sauce. The best one for me was the salt and mayo, which enhanced the sweetness of the green onions. Definitely recommended. It was a night filled with a green onion festival!

I went to "Tapioka Shokudo" in Terada-cho, where the manager recommended the "Buta Modern" dish, even though I had called ahead to make a reservation. It was a good thing I reserved because the restaurant was fully booked. My original plan was to try something other than the "Negiyaki," but when I saw it, I couldn't resist its appeal. However, the "Buta Modern" dish was also delicious. The contrast between the pink pork and the green onions was beautiful. I ordered the "Suji Nikomi," "Yubiki Shioyaki," and the "Buta Modern" dishes. Even though I didn't order the "Suji Negiyaki," I definitely wanted to try the "Suji Nikomi" at Tapioka. The tender and juicy suji was not too strong in flavor, so I ended up eating a lot of it. I also enjoyed the grilled green onions with salt and washed it down with some beer. The "Buta Modern" dish was cooked perfectly on the hot plate, with a crispy surface and a well-cooked center, so there was no rawness. The flavorful and fluffy batter, combined with the medium-thick noodles, was delicious. Both the "Modern Yaki" and the "Negiyaki" were so tasty that I couldn't decide which one to order next time. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I visited the restaurant right after it opened on a national holiday. It seemed to be fully booked, but I was able to get in with a time limit until the reserved guests arrived. I ordered the famous green onion skewers, of course, and also tried the yakisoba since it's a teppanyaki restaurant. The yakisoba was cooked efficiently right in front of me and was ready in no time. The thick and chewy noodles paired well with the flavorful sauce, and the juicy pork belly was a great addition. As for the main dish, the green onion skewers, I was amazed by the amount of green onions used for grilling. I wondered if I could finish it all or if it would be harmful to eat so much. When the dish was ready, the fluffy texture and the pleasant aroma of the green onions filled the air. The crunchy texture and aroma of the green onions, along with a unique sauce, made it disappear in no time. I would love to try other flavors and teppanyaki dishes in the future. - Green Onion Skewers (half & half sauce/salted) 1250 yen - Pork Yakisoba 700 yen

There is a counter in front and seating with a sunken kotatsu table in the back. Many customers with children come here. They serve dishes cooked on the teppan grill at the counter. I have been here several times and the must-try dish is the Tapioka Special Okonomiyaki! It is a large okonomiyaki filled with pork, squid, shrimp, octopus, scallops, and a fried egg. Each bite reveals different ingredients and despite its size, it is not overwhelming. The batter is moist and flavorful with a hint of dashi. The sauce is also delicious. Whenever I come here, I always order this special okonomiyaki. And this time, I discovered another delicious menu item. The Hormone Yakisoba Udon! You can switch the yakisoba noodles to udon noodles and choose between salt or soy sauce seasoning, but the Hormone Yakisoba Udon comes with a special sauce that is amazingly tasty! I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal!

On July 19, 2023 (Wednesday), I had the dish "Sujinegi Yaki" for ¥1,250 (tax included). I also had a half & half drink (ponzu sauce and mayonnaise) and a cola for ¥270 (tax included). The Sujinegi Yaki had a mountain of green onions, using about 300g, on top of which they placed beef tendons. The green onions were steamed with the okonomiyaki batter, creating a soft texture. You can choose from salt, dashi, ponzu, or sauce for the flavor, and they also offer the option for a half & half choice.

I wanted to eat a lot of delicious leeks, so I went to Terada-cho. The leek pancake had a chicken-based delicious broth with plenty of simmered beef tendons. It was a luxurious dish. The base is delicious, and you can enjoy it with four types of sauce: salt, ponzu, and Japanese-style dashi. On the night of Tanabata, I ordered a half portion of salt sauce and Japanese-style dashi sauce. I tried the "tonpei-yaki" with sauce and the "zuri-hi-oroshi ponzu" with ponzu. The "zuri-hi-oroshi ponzu" had crispy grilled pork skin, which was really delicious and refreshing. The "beef tendon and leek pancake" was consistently delicious. I like the fluffy dough with broth, so I would like to try the recommended "pork modern pancake" next time. Oh, the taste of happiness!

Ten minutes walk from Terada-cho Station. A typical Osaka-style okonomiyaki restaurant called "Tapioka Shokudo." The name sounds tropical, right? It was lunchtime, so I waited for about 10 minutes and was seated at the counter inside. The specialty of this restaurant is the "negiyaki" and "sujiyaki." I ordered the "sujinegimodan," which contains both. This place is quite popular, with customers constantly coming in and phone orders coming in as well. However, they close at 2 pm, so it's understandable that they have to turn away customers. While waiting, I could see a large pot boiling with suji, which made it clear that suji is a popular choice here. When the "sujinegimodan" was served, I was surprised by the portion size. The impact of the generous amount of negi was significant. When it was cut using a spatula, the contrast between the flavors of the negi and cabbage was interesting. And delicious. The combination with suji was excellent. It was a really delicious okonomiyaki restaurant.

Meeting up with a friend at Tapioka Shokudo in Teramachi Town, I couldn't resist the smell of teppanyaki even before entering the restaurant (*´∀`*) I was excited since morning, so I made a reservation even on a weekday. The owner, who single-handedly manages the teppan, was like a non-stop fighting match with the hot plate, continuously cooking, which was really cool! This time, I went with a friend, so we just watched from the back tatami room (^O^)❒’’ We ordered "Nama-no Kimchi," "Tetchan Yaki," "Tamato Itame," and "Suji Negi Yaki" in a large portion (with salt sauce, Japanese-style broth, ponzu, and sauce). The "Nama-no Kimchi" (*´∀`*) was so delicious that I wanted to take it home - not too sour, just the right amount of spicy and tasty. The "Tetchan Yaki" was amazing! The sweet and fragrant smell overflowed outside the restaurant! The crispy tetchan and vegetables were a perfect match for beer! It's a must-try even with friends. The "Tamato Itame" was exactly what it sounds like - a tomato egg stir-fry - but it was so delicious! If you like tomatoes, this is a must-try. The sesame oil aroma, fluffy egg, and fresh acidity of the tomato were delightful. And finally, the star of the show - "Suji Negi Yaki" appeared! From left to right in the photo: "Salt sauce," "Sauce," "Ponzu (mayo)," "Japanese-style broth" (^O^)❒’’ This time, I tried the "Salt sauce" and "Sauce" for the first time, completing all four flavors, but the basic taste of the beef tendon was so solid that even with flavor changes, the restaurant's taste remained consistent and delicious! I love this unwavering quality. I visited with three friends, and it was surprising to see that each of us had a different favorite flavor among the four. The conversation on the way back, sharing our favorite points, was also enjoyable (^O^)❒’’ Isn't it amazing that each flavor can stand out on its own? Another satisfying day!!! (^O^)❒’’ Yay for Mondays!

[Visit Date] Dinner on 6/17/2023 [Order] Half & Half Pork and Green Onion Okonomiyaki with Ponzu Sauce (with mayonnaise), Draft Beer (medium size) I decided to challenge a popular okonomiyaki restaurant for dinner. I called ahead and was told they were fully booked, but there might be openings if I showed up early. With that in mind, I arrived at around 16:35, about 15 minutes walk from Tennoji Station. There were two chairs available, but the direct sunlight was too intense, so I opted to stand in the shade and wait. Lucky for me, they had a seat at the counter for one person when they opened at 17:00. Customers without reservations were being turned away quickly after opening, so I was glad I made it in time. I started with a draft beer and ordered the pork and green onion okonomiyaki, which I had been curious about. Unlike the thin okonomiyaki I had tried before, this one was quite substantial and stood out in terms of volume. It was a delight for green onion lovers. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lively, and the service from the staff was excellent. It's no wonder this place is so popular. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I've always wanted to go there, but I never had the time. Whenever I tried to make a reservation in the afternoon, it was always fully booked, so I couldn't go. But finally, I managed to make a reservation at Tapio Ka Shokudo by calling ahead before they opened on a weekday. My friend and I ordered three dishes because we wanted to try the negiyaki, okonomiyaki, and yakisoba. The staff kindly warned us that the portions were quite large, but we assured them it was okay. The negiyaki was amazing with a generous amount of green onions. It was surprising to see how much green onions there were in the dish. The yakisoba was also delicious, and the lunch special that day was pork and cheese okonomiyaki, which was cooked perfectly with runny eggs and lots of cheese. It came with white rice and miso soup, which was a nice addition. The okonomiyaki had a good balance of sauce and ponzu, and I enjoyed it a lot. The neighboring customer added extra green onions as a topping, and I regret not doing the same because the portion was huge. Even though the dishes were quite filling, I managed to finish everything with a little effort. Next time, I will definitely order extra green onions as a topping. The staff was friendly, and it was a great dining experience. Thank you for the meal!

Visit date and time: 11:20 on a weekday Waiting time: 10 minutes (waiting for the restaurant to open) Menu: Daily special set meal (Pork Modern Yaki) 800 yen I visited during lunchtime, and there were many people with reservations, so I felt rushed. By before 12 o'clock, the restaurant was full, and it seemed like there were also many takeout orders, causing delays even for those who entered around 11:40. I ordered the daily special set meal with Pork Modern Yaki. The staff cooked it right in front of me. The okonomiyaki (Modern Yaki) was quite thick, about 5cm. Despite its thickness, there was not much sauce, but the sweet dough was delicious, so I didn't need to add more sauce. The Negiyaki had a mountain of green onions on top, and overall, it seemed like a place known for its generous portions of okonomiyaki. Since there were quite a few reservations even during lunchtime, it seems like making a reservation in advance would be a good idea if you plan to visit. Thank you for the meal.

Around 12:35, there were two people waiting in front of the store, sitting on chairs. After about 30 minutes, they were seated at a table in the back of the restaurant. They ordered the popular negi-yaki (grilled beef with green onions) with half ponzu mayo and half sauce mayo, with no pickled ginger. The waitress mentioned that the pickled ginger is usually included, but the customer didn't mind having very little of it in the dish. The food was served in about 11 minutes, and the beef was tender and delicious. The customer preferred the sauce over the ponzu. The batter was soft, and the other ingredients were average. The total bill was 1250 yen paid with a mobile payment app. They also decided to buy something to take home.

Tapioka Shokudo is a teppanyaki restaurant located a 5-7 minute walk from Terada-cho Station, known for their Negiyaki topped with a mountain of green onions. They were selected as one of the Top 100 Okonomiyaki Restaurants in 2023. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal. We tried the Negiyaki, half with ponzu sauce and half with regular sauce, and pork yakisoba. The Negiyaki here is unique as they pile the green onions on top of the okonomiyaki batter, creating a fluffy texture that is perfect for those who prefer a lighter okonomiyaki. The portion size is generous, and you can choose two different sauces to accompany your dish. The yakisoba, cooked with some sauce left in the pan, develops a delicious flavor as it sits on the hot teppan. Overall, the food was enjoyable and I recommend giving this place a try. Thank you for the meal!

I saw a video on TikTok that caught my attention. I made a phone reservation and started with beer at the counter from opening time. The beer snack was water eggplant. The visual impact of the grilled beef and green onion skewers is impressive, and they taste delicious too! If you're a fan of green onions, you can't miss this dish. Watching the master skillfully cut with a knife while waiting for the dish to be ready is pure bliss. I could choose the flavor, and I asked for a half portion with ponzu mayo and sauce. The inside is fluffy, and the texture of the beef is amazing. After the beer, I had a highball, and it was a perfect match!
