I visited a restaurant on the second floor after climbing the stairs for lunch. I ordered the Harami steak one plate, and my companion ordered the yakiniku lunch set. Both cost the same, but the one plate came with a salad while the yakiniku set did not include any vegetables. However, the yakiniku set had a larger variety and quantity of meat, so when you're in the mood to skip vegetables, the yakiniku set offers more satisfaction. We enjoyed our meal. Thank you for the delicious food. Lunch (Harami steak one plate) 1800 yen

After visiting the shrine, I took a stroll and found a new yakiniku restaurant that I had seen somewhere before. Although it's not new anymore, I liked the idea of having a terrace. Unfortunately, the terrace was not open on this cold day. I decided to enjoy a yakiniku lunch instead. The restaurant had a modern setup with grills and ventilation hoods. I ordered the lunch menu which included yakiniku lunch for 1800 yen, yukgaejang lunch for 1200 yen, and beer for 600 yen. The yakiniku set had four types of meat, but they seemed a bit frozen as they released moisture over time. The yukgaejang noodles were a bit too sweet for my taste. Overall, I thought that if the lunch was this good, I would definitely want to come back for a full meal in the evening. Before lunchtime was over, I headed downstairs to pay the bill. Thank you for the meal!

On the 29th, we had our usual meat dinner for Meat Day. Since it was 8/29, we decided to go for yakiniku and made a reservation at "Yakiniku Kimuraya." I met up with my husband after work and headed to the restaurant. As we climbed the stairs to the second floor, we entered a stylish space that felt more like a cafe. Each table had a duct above it, and a tabletop gas roaster was placed on each table. They offered a drink all-you-can-drink option for 1100 yen (tax included) for 100 minutes without beer. We ordered the meats we wanted to eat, and here's what we had: - Kalbi & Special Sagari: Both were tender, but I personally prefer Sagari over Kalbi. - Rare Cuts Assortment: This included sirloin, rump, zabuton, ichibo, and tsurami. The marbling was beautiful, and the quality of the fat was exquisite. The portion was just right, not too heavy. - Special Liver Yakiniku: This was delicious, and I almost finished it all by myself. It was fresh, well-prepared, and tasted amazing with sesame oil and salt. They mainly use Japanese beef, so the quality of the meat is good. My husband felt a bit heavy after eating the cuts with a lot of marbling. Surprisingly, he didn't eat beef tongue this time! (We should have ordered beef tongue before the assortment of rare cuts...) However, there were two points that I hope they improve on: 1. Lack of condiments: There were only sauce and table salt as condiments, and I didn't like the sweet miso sauce that was already in the condiment dish. When I asked for lemon juice, they said it would cost an extra 100 yen. If condiments are charged separately, it should be clearly stated on the menu. 2. Egg soup taste: When my husband ordered egg soup as the finishing dish, it was too bland, almost like a light broth. For 500 yen, I expected more flavor. The meat was delicious, but these two points left me feeling unsure. Overall, I don't go to yakiniku restaurants often, but maybe trying their bibimbap for lunch would have been better. They also have affordable course menus, making it suitable for dates or girls' night out. Thank you for the meal!

I went up the stairs to the second floor. There were 4 seats at the counter and 3 tables for 4 people. The background music was jazz. I was looking forward to the terrace that I had heard about, but unfortunately, the third floor was closed. The cold noodle lunch came with 5 pieces of grilled meat and a drink. Today's choice was kalbi, and it was delicious with just the right thickness and good flavor. The noodles were a bit too white for my liking. The grilled meat was tasty, but there was a slight disappointment due to the difference in taste. They also serve ramen, and my companion had the soy sauce flavor. They mentioned that you can ask for a milder flavor, but my companion found it too salty. The service was a bit lacking in some aspects. If you are a regular customer, it might not bother you, and I'm not too picky either, but there were some things that stood out. The meat was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

A building located a short walk from Maruyama Koen Station, on the second floor, is bustling with customers during lunchtime, from young people to elderly groups enjoying a lunch centered around meat. We were seated at a two-person table with a curtain-like divider. We ordered the Stone Bibimbap Lunch Set with Oolong Tea (¥1200). The food arrived one after another, and it smelled delicious. The set included soup, a drink, and 5 pieces of grilled meat. The soup was a delicious seaweed soup with plenty of seaweed and sesame. The meat was tender and flavorful, and we were told it was a great deal for lunch compared to dinner prices. The bibimbap was served hot and colorful, with a variety of toppings like bean sprout namul, kimchi, spinach, and mountain vegetables. The flavors were authentic and addictive. Overall, it was a great value and delicious lunch at a grilled meat restaurant.

Visited Sapporo City, Chuo-ku, Kita 1-jo Nishi 24-chome 3-1 MALIBU Maruyama SQ 2F for Yakiniku Kimuraya. The stylish interior remains unchanged. I wanted to eat the serious four kinds of beef tongue that I had before because it was so delicious, so I visited again. I enjoyed another blissful time experiencing the different ways the four types of beef tongue are prepared, eaten, the different textures, and flavors. Today, I also had three rare cuts of meat and sagari, along with rice, and filled my stomach. It was very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since I strolled around Maruyama Park, but I headed to "Yakiniku Kimuraya" for lunch. They don't serve lunch on Sundays, so I aimed for a holiday lunch. There are narrow stairs leading up to the second floor, and even more stairs to the third floor where there may or may not be seating for customers. There are 4 counter seats and three 4-seater tables, with no other customers present. I sat at a table and ordered the "Yukkejang Ramen Lunch" for 1,000 yen and the "Stone Bibimbap Lunch with Wakame Soup" for 1,000 yen (tax included). Both come with 5 pieces of kalbi and a drink, and I chose iced coffee and ginger ale. All the dishes were served in about 10 minutes. The Yukkejang ramen had a slightly less sweet taste compared to others I've tried, and I didn't feel much spiciness. The noodles could be a bit firmer. The Stone Bibimbap was served in a hot stone bowl, with a nice char on the bottom layer of rice. Mixing it up with the spoon created a sizzling sound. The ingredients included egg yolk, spinach, bean sprouts, carrots, fernbrake, sesame, and green onions. The flavor balance was good, but I prefer the rice to be a bit firmer. I'd like to visit again at night, but haven't had the chance yet. Thank you for the meal.

Visited Yakiniku Kimuraya in Sapporo, Hokkaido on April 23, 2019. I had previously enjoyed a delicious and cost-effective lunch at this restaurant, so this time I came back for a night of yakiniku with some drinks. Started off with a cheers with a glass of draft beer! The dishes I ordered were: - Today's rare cuts assortment (5 kinds) - 3,250 yen - Serious beef tongue assortment (4 kinds) - 2,680 yen - Special selection sagari - 1,780 yen - Wagyu special liver - 820 yen - Maru intestine - 680 yen - Shima intestine - 730 yen - Lamb meat - 830 yen - Seseri (chicken neck) - 550 yen - Kimchi assortment - 620 yen - Salted cabbage - 480 yen - Cold noodles - 680 yen The dishes were served in a stylish presentation one after another. The rare cuts assortment of the day included cuts like skirt, core, lamp, ichibo, and turtle shell. They were well-marbled, not too fatty, and delicious. Enjoyed them with wasabi and dipping sauce for a refreshing taste, or with sauce for a rich flavor. The highlight of the night for me was the serious beef tongue assortment. Thinly sliced beef tongue lightly seared like shabu-shabu, rolled with green onions and jelly, was delightful. The thick-cut beef tongue was also crispy and tasty. The thin slices paired with a mix of orange and salt provided a refreshing taste. Highly recommended dish. Overall, the beautifully presented and delicious meats left me very satisfied. It was a truly enjoyable meal. Thank you for the feast.

Visited for the first time on April 13, 2019, at Yakiniku Kimuraya in Chuo-ku, Sapporo City, Hokkaido, at 3-1 MALIBU Maruyama SQ 2F. It's a 5-minute walk from Maruyama Park Station. I visited for lunch after work. As soon as you open the entrance, there are stairs leading to the second floor. Going up the stairs, the interior looks stylish, almost like a cafe. The place is clean and doesn't smell of smoke, probably due to good ventilation. I sat down and checked out the menu. Today, I ordered the Yakiniku Lunch Set for 1,700 yen. My partner ordered the Harami Steak One Plate for 1,700 yen. Each set comes with rice, soup, and a drink. The Yakiniku Lunch Set included Kalbi, Seseri, Maruchou, Tan, rice, soup, and a drink for 1,700 yen. The presentation was stylish and the portions were generous. I enjoyed grilling the meat and finished every bite. I plan to come back for dinner next time, to enjoy meat and drinks. They will open the rooftop terrace for outdoor dining from mid-May. It looks like a great place for outdoor Yakiniku. Reservation is required. The meal was very delicious. Thank you for the feast.

I went to a yakiniku restaurant that I had my eye on for my day off. The entrance door is labeled as a yakiniku restaurant, but the interior looks clean and doesn't really give off that vibe. I mustered up the courage to go in and immediately saw a staircase leading to the second floor. Going up to the second floor, I found a stylish and bright space, which was unexpected for a yakiniku restaurant. I decided to go with the steak lunch that I had researched beforehand. It was served in about 10 minutes. They didn't ask me how I wanted it cooked, but it came out rare, which I love. I enjoyed eating it with sauce and rock salt. I also received a lunch discount coupon, but it's so big that it doesn't fit in my wallet (^_^;)

Located a 5-minute walk from the Maruyama Park subway station, this new restaurant is situated on the second floor of a small mixed-use building. The space is bright and open with large windows at the corner of the building. They have gas grills that make it easy to adjust the heat, and the interior duct seems to have good ventilation. There are both counter seats and table seats with ample space between them, giving off a trendy Brooklyn vibe. I visited for lunch on a weekday and arrived just before noon, finding no other customers at that time. I ordered the Beef Steak Lunch for 1480 yen, which features rare shoulder loin meat from American prime beef. The steak was cooked perfectly, showcasing the deliciousness of American beef. It was tasty on its own, but also great with their original sauce or salt. The salad consisted of fresh and colorful vegetables with dressing, and the soup was a gentle wakame seaweed soup. Soft drinks were included with the meal. While it may be a bit pricey for a lunch option for office workers, the quality and quantity of the meal make the price worth it.
