I made a reservation in advance and visited this convenient location. The restaurant is spacious and has a luxurious feel with individual booths that feel like private rooms. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. I ordered the beef and pork shabu-shabu course. The appetizers were delicious, including meat sushi, bitter melon salad, quiche, all delicate and tasty. The grilled black beef was a bit too fatty for my liking. The simmered dish had a good balance, with well-cooked eggplant and subtle flavors. The shabu-shabu had generous portions of vegetables and meat, but I ended up leaving about a third of the meat uneaten (sorry!). It was a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. The calm atmosphere, polite service, and delicious food make this a satisfying restaurant. It seems like a typical antenna shop of Kagoshima JA. Sunday lunchtime is recommended as it is not crowded. I will definitely come back to try the steamed black pork again. Thank you for the meal.

Located about a 5-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station, this restaurant is situated in a building along Midosuji Avenue, making it a convenient location from the station. The interior of the restaurant is designed like private rooms, providing a calm and private space to enjoy your meal. The appetizer consisted of three dishes: chilled potato soup, fig with miso sauce, and shimeji mushroom and eggplant. Each dish reflected the seasonal flavors, making it something to look forward to with each changing season. The grilled dish in the course was incredibly tender and melted in the mouth, complemented well by the slightly sweet soy sauce and wasabi typical of Kyushu cuisine. The shabu-shabu main dish cooked quickly, so it was important to keep an eye on it. The meat was also tender, not overly fatty, allowing for a taste of high-quality meat. The ponzu sauce was sweet and the sesame sauce had just the right richness. Wanting a bit more, we added deep-fried sweet potato and chicken wings, which exceeded expectations in terms of portion size for the price. The sweet and spicy chicken wings had a strong presence and paired well with the refreshing shabu-shabu. With a generous amount of tofu and vegetables, we may have ordered a bit too much as we left feeling completely satisfied. In addition to shabu-shabu, they also offer sukiyaki and steamed dishes, which we look forward to trying next time. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

It is located in the basement of Dolce & Gabbana in Shinsaibashi. I like this restaurant because the seats are almost like private rooms, so you can eat leisurely. They offer shabu-shabu, steak, etc., but I have only ever eaten steamed dishes. Since it is steamed, the sauce doesn't get diluted, and there are plenty of vegetables to eat. The fat from the meat also comes off, so it's not heavy. I like the atmosphere of the restaurant, so I often come here when it gets cold. I tried to visit the main store in Kagoshima once, but it was fully booked, which was disappointing.

I like the steamed dishes here and visited after a long time. The prices have gone up since last time, but now they serve a variety of appetizers. Each dish was carefully made and tasted delicious. I feel like there were more vegetables in the steamed dish before. The service here is polite and the staff make the steamed dishes, which is nice. They are served with ponzu and sesame sauce, both of which complement the dish well. By the end of the meal, you will be really full. It was delicious.

A friend brought me to this restaurant for my birthday, saying it was really delicious. I was excited, but when I tried the Kagoshima beef and black pork steamed dish course, it was just okay. The course costs 10,000 yen, which was a shock considering the average taste. I would rather go to a different restaurant for that price. Maybe it's because I don't like ponzu and sesame sauce? The vegetables were nice, but overall, it felt like something I could have made at home. I wouldn't come here on my own. It was a disappointing day. Time to study more.

Arrived at 13:15 on Saturday. I was able to enter smoothly because it was 15 minutes before the lunch order deadline. There was a great value lunch even on a Saturday. I visited alone and was seated at a semi-private table, where the server kindly hung up my coat. The pork was delicious with a strong sweetness and umami, as expected from JA Kagoshima. The vegetables cooked in the meat fat were also sweet and delicious. The extremely fine grated daikon radish, delicate scallions, and fragrant garlic chips were nice accents. The Kyushu-style miso soup with dried bonito flakes and barley miso, and the pickled mustard greens, added to the rich local flavor and gave me a mini trip experience. To top it off, I even got an iced coffee after the meal, making it a luxurious lunch with a great value.

If you want to enjoy a delicious steamed dish in a calm atmosphere in Shinsaibashi, then "Karen" is the place to go. When I visited Karen for the first time, they kindly allowed me to enter even before their official opening time of 5:30 PM. It was a cold day, so I really appreciated it. Upon entering, I noticed that all the tables were private rooms, which created a very nice atmosphere. This time, I ordered the Kagoshima black beef steamed dish course. The pot contained broth, with vegetables and black beef on top. It was ready in 10 minutes. The taste was very delicious and light. The portion size was satisfying. It's perfect for a date or a relaxed discussion. I will definitely visit again.

However, due to the impact of the coronavirus, it's now easier to get a reservation, so it's a great opportunity to visit. This time, I tried the steamed dish, and it was incredibly delicious! I highly recommend visiting this restaurant at least once.

Located between Mittera-suji and Hachiman-suji along Midosuji Street, I visited KAREN Osaka Shinsaibashi store. I remember visiting in the past for seiro steamed dishes, but this time I went for shabu-shabu! The restaurant has upgraded its rating on Tabelog. The entire restaurant is filled with private rooms and has a luxurious feel with a black color scheme. I ordered the Kagoshima black beef and black pork shabu-shabu course special. Ordering the special doesn't upgrade the meat grade, but instead increases the number of appetizers before the shabu-shabu. The shabu-shabu had a lot of vegetables! There were two types of black beef rib roast and two types of black pork, belly and shoulder loin. Eating the beef first is recommended as the pork can be quite filling due to its quality. Both were delicious with a strong sweetness, but the pork had a noticeable amount of fat due to its high quality. Even though shabu-shabu is supposed to be light, you can still taste the rich flavor and fat of the meat. The ramen at the end was excellent too! I accidentally ordered the special, so I ended up getting full before finishing the shabu-shabu. I'll be more careful next time. Thank you for the meal!

Actually, this is my second visit. It's a recently favorite restaurant that a friend recommended to me. The underground interior is Japanese-style, a bit dimly lit, and has a nice atmosphere. It's like a semi-private room, so it's safe from COVID-19 (lol). They have sukiyaki, shabu-shabu, and steak, but what I always order is the steamed seiro. It's amazing! The meat on the top steams while the flavorful fat drips down onto the vegetables below. It's the perfect system (lol). I enjoy it with ponzu and sesame sauce. The seasonal vegetables and high-quality meat from Kagoshima steam up gently and taste delicious! Unlike shabu-shabu, the meat and vegetables don't get all soggy, which is the beauty of seiro. The other side menu items are also very appealing, with a lineup inspired by Kagoshima. It's a restaurant that makes you want to visit again and again.

I sometimes visit Hualien and I like the steamed dishes here. The vegetables are plentiful and the portion size is good without being too heavy. This time, I tried the private room for the first time and it was really nice, with a garden that adds a calming atmosphere. I didn't know they had such private rooms. The private room had a sunken table for two people. It's nice to have such a private space. I ordered the steamed pork dish and had to wait a bit for it to be steamed. While waiting, I enjoyed the appetizers and watched the steam rising, which was also enjoyable. It was ready in about 15 minutes and I enjoyed dipping the pork alternately in ponzu sauce and sesame sauce. You can eat a lot more compared to shabu-shabu. Steaming the food prevents the sauce from becoming too diluted, which is great. The pork was light and delicious. It's a good choice for vegetable lovers as you can enjoy a variety of meat and vegetables. The seating here is semi-private or private, so you can maintain social distancing and feel safe.

I searched on Tabelog for a calm restaurant suitable for business, and discovered this place. I made a reservation and visited right away. The location is on the basement floor at the entrance of Yawata-suji, next to the Dolce & Gabbana store. I heard that the restaurant is managed by JA Kumamoto, and the sophisticated atmosphere made me feel like professionals in the food and beverage industry were involved. So, I ordered the steamed basket of Kagoshima black pork and beef, as well as the deep-fried sweet potato and sand lance tempura. The staff's service was excellent, and the food was very delicious. Today, there were a lot of cancellations due to the impact of COVID-19, so the number of customers was low, but the staff mentioned that they are usually fully booked. If I had to point out something, it would be that the pricing is quite high. Although it's understandable given the relaxed atmosphere that is hard to find in Shinsaibashi, I think it would be an even better restaurant if you could enjoy this level of quality for less than 10,000 yen. However, if you are using it for entertaining guests, I believe there are not many better restaurants. Thank you for the meal. It was delicious.

We went with four people on a regular day. We ordered the steamed seiro, which cost 8500 yen per serving. Although it is not shown in the picture, the steamed meat was tender and delicious. We also ordered braised pork, kibinago tempura, and other dishes, all of which were tasty. The seiro alone came with various side dishes, so even ordering it alone was satisfying. The only downside was the staff's service. Their explanations were vague, and they later told us that certain things were not possible, which was disappointing. The service of bringing and clearing dishes was also unorganized. Personally, I wouldn't want to use this place for business entertainment.

Located at 2-7-18 Shinsaibashi-suji, Chuo-ku, Osaka, on the B1F of Prime Square Shinsaibashi, is the Hanaren Osaka Shinsaibashi store. I visited for lunch during my business trip to Osaka. There were many foreign tourists in Shinsaibashi, making it quite crowded. My friend made a reservation for us at this calm and elegant restaurant. The restaurant had a beautiful design, reminiscent of the JA Kagoshima main store. The atmosphere was traditional Japanese, with tables separated by wooden gardens and lattice screens. We started with a toast with draft beer, and ordered the thick-cut Kagoshima black pork loin cutlet. It was crispy and delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

This was probably my 10th time here, but I always felt like I had written a review on Tabelog even though I hadn't, haha. I wonder how many years it's been since I started coming here from the opening day? Haha. Every time I order the Teppan Seiro Mushi ⭐️ I think it was always ¥7,800? Sorry if I got that wrong. The portion is quite generous, with a mix of black wagyu and pork as an appetizer, followed by the Seiro Mushi, then rice or soba, miso soup, and finally dessert. The desserts often feature sweet potatoes like Satsuma and purple sweet potatoes ✨ This place is run by the JA, so the meat is consistently delicious and the vegetables are fresh and tasty ✨ If you haven't been here yet, I highly recommend it ✨ But if you go, be sure to make a reservation for the private room with a view of the courtyard ‼️‼️ This is a must-visit spot ✨ Thank you for the meal!
