The place was a bit run-down and the service was slow, but the food was surprisingly decent. Despite some initial concerns, we ended up enjoying the meal.

This is a so-called "taste and service" restaurant, so the appearance and interior are not particularly clean, but it doesn't bother me because the owner and staff are all lively and energetic, making it a pleasant place. In terms of impact, this restaurant can make quite an impression. Before my transfer, a senior colleague who knows Rausu well told me, "Go there early. And be prepared to be impressed..." I went and was definitely impressed. Impact 1 - The Zangi (fried chicken) with garlic is generously seasoned, so women may hesitate a bit, but it's definitely worth trying as the portion size is ample. The batter for the Zangi has a unique feature, similar to the tempura batter used for Oita's toriten (chicken tempura). Give it a try. Impact 2 - The size of the Tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette) is no joke. It's as big as an adult man's shoe and quite thick. I heard they use 5-6 eggs to make it. They use plenty of sugar in the seasoning, so if you don't mind sweet Tamagoyaki, you'll definitely enjoy the size and taste. This is definitely worth seeing in person. I used to frequent this place a lot during the welcome party season in April. They allowed us to bring our own drinks, so we could leave the food up to them and end up saving money.
