The French kelp is so crispy and delicious! Snack kelp for 100 yen, cherry blossom sablé for 185 yen, and horse sablé for 185 yen. Thank you for the delicious meal! (^^)v

I booked a bus tour to enjoy the cherry blossom trees along the 20-meter road in Shizunai in 2015.5, but unfortunately, the weather was bad and the cherry blossoms were already past their peak. I ended up buying some delicious sakura manju (cherry blossom steamed buns) at a festival stall instead. These sakura manju were made by the NPO "Kinomi Fukushi Kai" in Shizunai, with red bean paste and white kidney bean paste wrapped in a pink dough. The taste was subtle, but it paired well with green tea. I was surprised to see that each bun had a salted cherry blossom leaf on top, and the wrapping technique using gold string was very intricate. Overall, the sweet potato dumplings were the most delicious item at the stall. I wanted to try the Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) for 900 yen, but I ended up with the dumplings instead.
