On December 27, 2020, I went to Nitarasan to support a restaurant while being careful. I went with my close friend and had a sweet treat as a pick-me-up instead of lunch. It was a long-awaited visit to CAFE RESTAURANT GARAGE. The place had a stylish black and orange garage-like interior with a few tables. I ordered the Half Omelette Set (Chocolate) for 850 yen with an additional topping of vanilla ice cream for 80 yen. I also ordered a coffee. The omelette was fluffy and warm, topped with plenty of whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate. It was deliciously sweet and fluffy. Next time, I'll come back to try their meal menu. Today's lunch adventure ended with a visit to a favorite omelette place for dessert. I ordered the half set omelette (chocolate) for 850 yen, and added a topping of vanilla ice cream for 120 yen (excluding tax). The omelette always looks so impressive, and I never know how to tackle it at first. The fluffy texture of the omelette, paired with generous amounts of whipped cream and ice cream, is absolutely delicious. The black coffee helps balance out the sweetness perfectly. Today, I didn't feel like working at all, so I went to a cafe to have some sweets. I visited CAFE RESTAURANT GARAGE for the first time. It was 3:37 pm, and there were no customers before or after me. The exterior and interior of the cafe had a stylish black and orange theme, with a garage-like atmosphere. There were two 4-person tables and three 2-person tables. I ordered the half omelette set for 800 yen (tax included) and added vanilla ice cream as a topping for an additional 80 yen (tax included). I also ordered an iced coffee. It arrived in about 10 minutes. The presentation was beautiful, and my first impression was how do I eat this? (laughs) The omelette was still warm and fluffy. The combination of plenty of whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate made it cold, sweet, and fluffy, and it was incredibly delicious. I finished it in no time. I'm glad I didn't order the half size. Maybe I should order another one, but I stopped myself because it would be embarrassing (laughs). I was satisfied and comforted by the kind and cute owner and the delicious sweets. The pasta also looked delicious. I'll come back next time to try the food menu. Thank you for the meal.

Visit on Friday around 7pm. 2 groups of customers already there. Ordered the Omelette Half Set (Maple) for 800 yen (excluding tax). A fluffy omelette with cream in the middle. The omelette was fluffy and the cream was not too heavy, making it delicious. Might be better than pancakes. The maple sauce gave it a strong sweet flavor. Had black coffee which was just right. The set for 800 yen was reasonable. Even the half portion was satisfying. The atmosphere was not very calm, with constant Eurobeat music playing, probably because they also serve alcohol. It was not pleasant to be suddenly asked for the total amount including tax at the end, especially when it wasn't mentioned on the menu. Overall, I was satisfied with the meal. Thank you. Note: They should definitely display prices including tax.

I visited the lunch cafe restaurant GARAGE alone. It was past 12:30, no customers before or after me. There were many food menu options (pasta, pizza, omurice, risotto), but I wanted something warm, so I ordered the baked risotto for 1200 yen + tax, and a single espresso for 380 yen + tax for after the meal. It arrived in less than 15 minutes. It looked like a gratin as written on the menu, with a slight firmness that reminded me of risotto. I could taste the shrimp broth, and it had zucchini, eggplant, red and yellow bell peppers, and shrimp. The crispy cheese added a rich flavor. The espresso after the meal was a single shot, about 30cc in a small cup, probably LAVAZZA. It had a deep flavor, and the small size made it enjoyable. This restaurant is famous for its omelette (dessert version), but even when I visited over 10 years ago, the place was always empty. Maybe because it's a bit pricey? I remembered that as I ate. I've never bought anything here, but during the rare occasions when I feel like indulging in something sweet, I might come back for the omelette (half portion, perhaps!). Can I pull it off? It's a cafe, but they also serve dinner. The atmosphere inside was mostly young people, but the menu was extensive. I really wanted to try their fluffy omelette, but I had already indulged in some voluminous sweets at another place in the afternoon, so this time I opted for dinner. Both the pizza and pasta were delicious. The pizza was loaded with olives, making it a perfect match for wine. However, I didn't have any alcohol this time. On November 8th, I visited the restaurant with my friends. We had omelets and cakes, which were delicious and huge. The sponge cake was light and fluffy, and the omelets were fantastic. We enjoyed the food and became regular customers. On November 12th, I went back with my sister and we had pasta and omelets with caramel cake, which were also delicious. The staff even split the pasta into two plates for us, which was a nice touch. We found a good way to divide the omelets neatly and enjoyed our meal. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be returning.

I was curious about this restaurant that serves a huge fluffy omelette. I finally had the chance to visit since I went to Obihiro after a long time. The exterior looks cool, and the interior has a refreshing orange color theme. There are magazines available, and the atmosphere is relaxing. I heard the coffee is delicious, but I can't drink coffee, so I passed and tried the famous giant omelette instead. It was topped with caramel banana, and it was indeed huge! The taste was more omelette than I expected, with a noticeable egg flavor. It was definitely big and fluffy! Impressive! There are other toppings and ice cream available, so it's hard to choose. They also have other meal options, so I might try them next time. It seems like a nice place to relax alone and unwind.

2013.04 Another visit to the garage that had been closed for a year. Despite having eaten a lot of yakiniku and feeling stuffed, I couldn't resist ordering a huge omelette for dessert. It was delicious as always. A colleague at work recently asked if "kagometomako-san is at ○○" and I was surprised to find out that they recognized me from my food blog. It was a pleasant surprise and I am grateful for my readers. Thank you for your continued support. 2012.03 After eating a lot of yakiniku, we went for a second round at this place, which I hadn't visited in about a year. The place seemed to have irregular hours, but luckily it was open when we arrived. We ordered two omelettes for three people, and even though we were already full, we managed to finish them. Desserts really do have a separate stomach, as the saying goes. 2011.01 I visited CAFE RESTAURANT GARAGE for the first time, attracted by the fluffy omelette cake that my junior had recommended. The place was bigger than I had expected, but a bit cold. We forgot to share the omelette and ended up each ordering what we wanted. The omelette had a variety of options, and we had to wait a bit for it to be prepared. The espresso we ordered ran out quickly, but the cappuccino was a good alternative. The omelette turned out to be huge, but delicious and fluffy, with a sweet aroma that filled our mouths. It was a delightful experience.

Located on the Shirokaba Street, this cafe has a garage-like exterior and is open until 12 pm, which is convenient. They have a wide variety of menu items, including drinks and alcohol. However, I have never had alcohol here. The shrimp Américaine sauce had a strong tomato flavor, with plenty of sauce. The shrimp was firm and the omelette, a specialty here, was ordered after the meal. It was fluffy and sweet, topped with plenty of whipped cream, matcha powder, and red beans inside. The omelette was slightly warm, so I thought it would go well with ice cream. It may be too much for girls to have an omelette after a meal. I wish I could convey the size of the omelette, but it's hard to tell from the photo. It's equivalent to a full meal in terms of calories and size.

Along the White Birch Street near the Ban'ei Racecourse, there is an Italian restaurant (or maybe a café) with a prominent orange sign. The area around the restaurant serves as a parking lot. The interior of the restaurant is simple and stylish with an orange color scheme. They are famous for their espresso coffee and omelets (sweets). You can choose from four different types of foreign beans for the espresso coffee, but as I am not a coffee connoisseur, I couldn't really tell the difference, so I ordered the "Musetti" which has the least acidity in a double shot (480 yen). I tried a sip of the coffee my wife ordered, but both were strong in flavor so I couldn't really distinguish between them. For food, my wife ordered a chocolate ice cream omelet (800 yen) and I ordered the risotto (980 yen). The risotto had plenty of cheese mixed in with the rice, and the crispy bacon-like pork on top, along with sliced tomatoes, complemented each other very well and was very delicious. My wife said the omelet she ordered was fluffy and delicious as well. I think this is a recommended restaurant for espresso lovers.

I searched online for cafes and dessert shops that I had never been to before, and it turned out to be a fun trip. In Obihiro, known as the town of food, I finally visited a cafe that I had been curious about for a long time, and it did not disappoint! I want to go back next time for drinks! However, I was a bit hesitant to go in as I felt a bit intimidated by the atmosphere. I had been curious about it for a while but couldn't muster the courage to go in, so I had been avoiding it for a long time. I ordered the risotto (980 yen), which was very rich and creamy, with sliced tomatoes on top adding a refreshing touch. There was also plenty of pork on top seasoned with pepper. It was so creamy that I couldn't finish it all, but it was delicious. I hesitated between ordering the "Trinic's Hittsumabushi" (800 yen), but after seeing my friend enjoying it, I thought, "This looks amazing too!" It was impressive to see how pouring the soup with bonito flavor on top towards the end turned it into a tea rice dish. I'm also interested in trying the "time-consuming sweets" at this shop! I will definitely come back.
