I ordered a course with all-you-can-drink at a banquet. The beer in the all-you-can-drink option tasted more like happoshu than beer. The shochu highball was weak. The grilled salmon lacked flavor despite being oily. The meat dishes such as pork skewers and zangi were tough. The sashimi was average. The hot pot was also average. The sushi was on par with cheap conveyor belt sushi. Overall, both the food and drinks were disappointing for a banquet course. I felt that I would have been better off going to Ippei instead.

Local people recommend everything on the menu as delicious, but unfortunately there was an issue when paying the bill.

Having a New Year's drink in Muroran. We wandered around Nakajima area without reservations and ended up at Tetsuya. It's a seafood izakaya and we ordered a mix of seafood dishes. The seafood salad had plenty of sashimi, which was great. The shrimp tempura was made with the whole shrimp, head and tail included. The tsukune had an amazing bounce to it. The desserts were impressive and not store-bought! Overall, it was pretty good (*´ω｀*)

Today in Hokkaido, the weather is nice and it's starting to feel like spring. In today's blog, I would like to introduce a restaurant called "Izakaya Tetsuya Nakajima" in Muroran City, which I visited a few months ago for a meal with friends. We started off with a non-alcoholic beer for 400 yen to cheers. Then we enjoyed a crab salad for 980 yen, a popular dish called Muroran yakitori pork skewers for 240 yen (2 skewers), and grilled shishito peppers for 390 yen. We also tried the cheese tsukune and harami grilled dish for 780 yen each. To finish off our meal, we had the Muroran yakitori rice bowl for 580 yen. With all these dishes, we spent around 3,000 yen per person. The food at "Izakaya Tetsuya Nakajima" was delicious, and I look forward to trying more seafood and sashimi dishes next time. We used this restaurant for a banquet. The dishes were all delicious. Sashimi, Muroran grilled chicken (grilled pork?)... The restaurant was crowded and lively. However, because each room was somewhat separated, we could still hear our own conversations. Items we didn't order kept coming, but each time we said we didn't order them and they were taken back. We didn't opt for the all-you-can-drink plan because the variety of drinks available would have been significantly limited, so the bill ended up being quite high... Overall, it was a satisfying restaurant in terms of taste. (Hokkaido's izakayas are amazing)
