The 18 detached guest rooms all come with open-air baths fed by natural hot springs, making it a very charming inn. The dinner cuisine is a unique chef's choice course, free from constraints, and creatively prepared. On this day, we enjoyed Hokkaido's natural ingredients from the sea in a French style. I recently heard that they started serving lunch only on weekends, so I decided to go check it out. I went to Yukiaitei. They use fresh local ingredients from around Niseko and the dishes were made with just the right amount of seasoning, preserving the natural flavors and aromas. It was very delicious. The service was also very friendly, making it a truly enjoyable experience.

Niseko is often reported to have soaring real estate prices, with many facilities being built specifically for wealthy foreigners. In line with this trend, the upscale inn called Zaborin was established, and another high-end hotel called Rakusuiyama opened in December 2020. Foreign luxury hotels like Park Hyatt and Ritz-Carlton have also been constructed, giving the area a different atmosphere compared to ten years ago. The meals offered are a mix of Japanese and Western cuisine, with a primary focus on Japanese food but occasional servings of bread and Western tastes. While the dishes were tasty, the concept seemed a bit unclear to me. I personally would have preferred if they focused on either Japanese or Western cuisine. The variety of dishes was limited, and there were no particularly impressive items, making me question the value for money. The price of 75,000 yen per person or 150,000 yen for two people is quite high. The rooms also gave a similar impression, with standard luxury inn sizes and nothing particularly exceptional. From Tokyo, there are many other luxury inns with better value for money. It seems like they aimed at attracting wealthy foreigners, but the opening during the COVID-19 pandemic must have been challenging. The parent company is linked to Shin Nihonkai Ferry, indicating a solid foundation, but it appears to be their first venture into inn management. Staying there, I could see various aspects that suggested this. With the current pricing, I will not consider revisiting.
