I rely on this place every time. I was so impressed the first time I used it that I ended up going three times a week. The bento here is served with the main dishes on the top tray and white rice with sesame salt on the bottom tray, which is a clever presentation. My favorite is the 4-item bento (500 yen). It comes with default dishes like pork and burdock root stir-fry and squid rings, and they change it up with options like salmon fry, hijiki seaweed, and potato salad depending on the day. I never get tired of eating here. The variety of side dishes that are not found in other bento shops is very appealing!

Cheap and good food can be found here. The dishes may look a bit heavy, but you can taste the carefully handmade deliciousness in each dish. The homemade goodness really comes through in the food. I tried the bento from Okazuya, and the Zangi seasoning was really tasty. The rice was also good, and eating it together with the side dishes made it even more delicious. Even though the taste may deteriorate over time due to being pre-made, I really enjoyed this bento. I recommend the bento with 5 dishes the most. It was almost 3 o'clock and I had limited options and no time for lunch, but I was able to find a delicious bento that made me feel like I made a good choice. Delicious bentos give off a nice smell, and sometimes you can tell if it will be good or not, but I thought it would have been even better if I had bought it when it was freshly made. Located along Shoten-dori in Nishi-ku, Sapporo, at the intersection of Hachiken 6-jo Nishi 4-chome. Visited a popular bento shop in Hachiken for the first time. I used to frequent a bento shop near my previous workplace (around Kita 6 Nishi 20, if I remember correctly) where you could choose your own side dishes, and it was quite handy and delicious. I had been passively looking for a similar bento shop for years, and through a lunch blog, I was recommended this shop, along with other delicious restaurants in the Koto-ni area. The bento options include: - 3 side dishes bento for 450 yen - 4 side dishes bento for 500 yen - 5 side dishes bento for 550 yen - Tonkatsu bento for 570 yen - Extra large rice for 50 yen (All prices excluding tax) You can also purchase various side dishes separately by weight, as well as cup miso soup. I ordered the "5 side dishes bento", which includes egg omelet and you can choose 4 other side dishes, except for the tonkatsu. I wondered what would happen if you have an egg allergy? When I arrived almost at noon, the place started getting crowded, and the staff was quite rushed (laughs). I wanted to carefully choose my side dishes, but regretted entering at this time, so I quickly made my selections. I chose the enticing "Stir-fried Bean Sprout Curry" and was asked to choose the main dish first. Feeling a bit irritated, I chose my favorite, "Squid Rings". In addition to the "Stir-fried Bean Sprout Curry", I also selected "Green Onion and Pork Saute" and "Nikujaga". A great choice, all to my liking (obviously). Although I ate it a few hours after purchase, including the rice, it was still delicious. It would have been even better if I had eaten it right away. Especially the "Stir-fried Bean Sprout Curry" and "Green Onion and Pork Saute" were perfect for drinking with alcohol. It's also great to just buy the side dishes. If it were closer to my home, I would definitely keep going back to this bento shop. Next time, I'll visit during a less busy time and take my time to choose what to buy. Inside the shop, there are various side dishes displayed, and you can choose from a selection of bento boxes. You can choose 3 items for 450 yen, 4 items for 500 yen, or 5 items for 550 yen (excluding tax). There are no restrictions on what you can choose, so you can have a meat feast or a simmered dish feast. If you opt for no rice, you get a 50 yen discount. My selection included green onion omelet, salted mackerel, pork cutlet with egg, and green onion and pork with salt sauce. The flavors were rich and the food was easy to eat. The omelet and pork cutlet with egg were on the sweeter side, more like grandma's cooking than mom's. Can you tell the difference in taste? Thank you for the meal.

I have confidence in judging this type of ready-made side dish, and this one has a well-balanced seasoning. It is great for everyday use as a side dish for rice, and it was quite delicious. When it comes to takeout bento boxes, it is common practice to make the seasoning stronger, which may be surprising, but it actually helps increase sales. As often mentioned, with the aging society, changing taste preferences, cost-saving tendencies, health-consciousness, waste reduction, and the shift towards living environments where kitchens are not used as much, the scenes surrounding daily meals will continue to change significantly. This is not a degradation of food culture, but an evolution. The changing needs will also lead to an improvement in the quality of dining out, presenting opportunities for restaurants. I visited this place that I had been curious about since before 17/2/16. I arrived after 3pm and there was 1 customer before me and 2 customers after me. Inside the store, there were many side dishes lined up. I wasn't sure about the system, but it seems like the owner serves customers in the order they enter. I bought 5 side dishes for my evening drink: spaghetti, stir-fried curry with bean sprouts, hamburger, fried chicken, and simmered butterbur. My wife bought a bento box with 5 dishes for dinner: simmered butterbur, potato salad, spaghetti, hamburger, and simmered daikon radish. Both had a homely taste and were delicious! I will visit again!

The shop was not too crowded, with only 3 customers before us and 1 customer after us. I chose the "5-side dish bento" which included a variety of meat, fish, fried dishes, and salads. The bento was quite substantial and included 5 side dishes along with rice. The total weight of the bento was 623g, with 369g of side dishes and 254g of rice. Each side dish had its own unique flavor, and the bento was reasonably priced at 594 yen. The homemade side dishes had a comforting and delicious taste, reminiscent of home-cooked meals. Overall, the bento was a great value for the price and I would love to visit again.

Inside the shop, there were over 20 different dishes displayed on large plates - fried foods, simmered dishes, grilled fish, salads, and more. There seemed to be a lot of dishes made with vegetables. The price of the bento varied depending on the number of side dishes - 3 items for 500 yen, 4 items for 550 yen, and 5 items for 600 yen. I chose a 4-item bento for 550 yen. I picked my favorite dishes from the selection and the staff packed them in a container with rice separated, so the rice wouldn't get soggy from the moisture of the side dishes. I chose saffron cod fry, spinach with scrambled eggs, pork and burdock, and meat and potato stew. All the dishes were delicious with a well-balanced seasoning that also felt healthy. Each portion was sufficient, filling me up nicely. The cost performance was great at 500 yen. I found a good restaurant. I happened to come across a deli shop and decided to get the "Three Side Dishes Bento" which cost under 500 yen. I chose three dishes from the delicious options in the shop to create my own bento. I selected fried chicken, pork cutlet with egg, and simmered potatoes, all of which tasted like homemade dishes and made me feel relieved. With great cost performance and healthy options, I think this is a shop I would like to use frequently.

The cost performance is great, and the simmered and fried dishes are incredibly delicious! I would like to visit the restaurant next time. The minced cutlet was especially amazing! Each dish was homemade with a home-cooked taste and made with care. The kinpira burdock was soft and the rolled omelette was also good.

My wife had a bento box with 5 side dishes, while I had 5 side dishes from Okazuya: tamagoyaki, Napolitan (which reminded me of my school days), stir-fried bean sprouts curry, squid ring fry (a favorite since childhood), and chicken Karaage with sweet vinegar sauce.
