After leaving the Kishisato exit of the Nankai Electric Railway's Kishisato Tamade Station and heading west, crossing Route 26 at the Kishisato Minami intersection, passing Tanabata Park and advancing a little north. It is a Western-style restaurant located in a residential area. I visited right after the opening at 11 o'clock. It is a popular Western-style restaurant known in Osaka, and I had been curious about it for a while, but the access was slightly inconvenient so I had put off visiting. This time, I finally made my first visit. When I entered through the curtain, there were 5 counter seats facing the kitchen in the front, 2 table seats in the back, and a total of 20 seats including a tatami room in the back. The retro atmosphere of the Showa era is prevalent in the space. The menu includes a variety of Western dishes such as tonkatsu, hamburg steak, shrimp fry, beef cutlet, and beef steak, with the cheapest being chicken rice for 650 yen and the most expensive being Wagyu steak (W) for 7,200 yen. Of course, set menus such as A set (1,850 yen) and B set (1,150 yen) are also available. The B set includes small shrimp fry, tonkatsu, hamburg steak, and rice, while the A set features large shrimp fry with heads. I wanted to go for the luxurious A set, but alas, I am just a commoner. So, I opted for the reliable B set. The dishes were brought out promptly with rice. A medium-sized tonkatsu, shrimp fry, and hamburg steak were lined up on a round plate, with a salad of fresh vegetables in the back. The tonkatsu and hamburg steak were topped with a dark demi-glace sauce, while the shrimp fry had mayonnaise with a side of mustard. The salad dressing was served in a separate container. I first tried a piece of tonkatsu, and the umami spread in my mouth. It was not too soft or too tough. The meat's umami was rich, but with little fat, resulting in a light finish. The cutlet is wrapped in fine breadcrumbs, sealing in the meat's flavor. The texture changes from crispy to moist as it absorbs the sauce, which is quite enjoyable. The shrimp fry is deep-fried open, with a crispy coating and a flavorful interior. It also has the same fine breadcrumb coating as the beef cutlet. The mayonnaise is likely homemade, with a mild acidity that enhances the egg flavor. It pairs perfectly with the fragrant shrimp fry. The hamburger steak is quite thick. While low in fat, it oozes with meat juices, allowing you to fully appreciate the meat's umami, along with the aroma of nutmeg. The vegetable salad consists of shredded cabbage, lettuce, tomato, and cucumber. The mild French dressing served separately is delicious. The spaghetti served on the side also has a retro feel. There were several retro delivery boxes outside the store. It seems they also do deliveries in the neighborhood. I appreciate their commitment to not using delivery services like Uber Eats. The nostalgic atmosphere of the food and the restaurant combined with a sense of familiarity, making for a truly nostalgic experience. I am confident in the restaurant's abilities and now that I know where it is located, I feel like I can manage to visit even by bicycle. I am intrigued by the popular pork chop as well, so I plan to revisit soon.

I was torn between ordering the famous pork chop and splurging on the A set, which turned out to be delicious. However, considering the price, I found it a bit expensive. It was a bit disappointing that it didn't come with miso soup or some kind of soup. Next time, I think I'll try the daily lunch special or go for the pork chop!

First visit to this restaurant. I arrived too early on a Saturday or Sunday at 3:30 pm and there was no one waiting. The restaurant opened at 3:45 pm. What did I order? The A set (1850 yen) which included large shrimp fry, tonkatsu, hamburger, roast ham, and rice. My thoughts? It's a traditional Western-style restaurant a bit far from the station. It's been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants, so I was prepared for a line, but there was no one waiting at 4 pm. I enjoyed three different Western dishes in the A set, but the large shrimp fry was the most impressive! It's no wonder the price is higher... The tonkatsu and hamburger also had the charm of a long-established Western-style restaurant, and I want to try other dishes as well. I'll come back on a weekday evening next time. Anything else to mention? It takes about 10 minutes to walk from Kishisato or Tamade. Be careful of the maze-like streets.

Thank you for always viewing. If you like it, I would be happy if you could bookmark the store with the "Save Store" button. On the last day of August, I went on a tour of 100 famous restaurants to collect Eat Log medals! The day before was in the north, and today is in the south. I visited Shin Fuji Main Store, which I had bookmarked beforehand. The address of Shin Fuji Main Store is 2-3-5 Senbon Minami, Nishinari-ku, Osaka City, a 6-minute walk from the Nankai Main Line "Kishinosato Tamade" station. It is a long-established Western-style restaurant in Nishinari, selected as one of the top 100 gourmet restaurants on Eat Log, with a history of over 60 years. I arrived a little before 11 o'clock, relying on Google. Closed on Wednesdays. Business hours are 11:00-14:00 (L.O 13:30) and 16:00-19:00 (L.O 18:30). It is a popular restaurant where lining up is a must, but luckily there was no line outside at the opening time on a weekday. I found out that regular customers enter before the curtain is raised, so when I opened the door, I was directed inside before the opening hours because it was hot outside. I got permission to take photos and sat at the counter. There are 5 counter seats, 2 4-seat table seats in the back, and a tatami seat further back in the historic interior. The menu ranges from light meals to double Japanese beef steak. Sets and lunches come with rice, but other items do not. I ordered the husband's A set (large shrimp fry, hamburger, tonkatsu, roast ham, and rice), miso soup, and changed to a large rice. The total was 2,300 yen, including the A set for 1,850 yen, miso soup for 400 yen, and an additional 50 yen for a large rice. While waiting for the food, I enjoyed the retro atmosphere of the Showa era, listening to the sound of tonkatsu being fried. The food arrived. Each dish was served on a large plate, with a large shrimp fry placed vertically, surrounded by hamburger, tonkatsu, roast ham, Neapolitan pasta, and salad. And a large serving of rice! I started eating. The hot miso soup was served with a spoon as it was too hot to hold. It was full of ingredients and voluminous! The pork was particularly delicious, with sesame oil and egg giving it a Western-style flavor. The hamburger was a meaty type packed with meat! The demi-glace sauce was rich and not too sweet, enhancing the flavor of the meat. The tonkatsu was a loin cutlet! It was tender, with a slight sweetness from the fat, and the demi-glace sauce was delicious. It was a nice touch to dip it in the mustard provided. The large shrimp fry was large and had a crispy coating, with a plump shrimp and the acidity of the homemade mayonnaise complementing each other well. The roast ham, Neapolitan pasta, and salad were colorful with shredded cabbage, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, and more! It was a luxurious lunch for adults. I had plans to visit several more places today, but I was full and satisfied with the delicious food! Customers kept coming one after another, and the warm hospitality provided by the family-run business made everyone feel loved. I hope they continue to operate energetically for a long time. After paying the bill, I thanked the staff at Shin Fuji Main Store and left the restaurant. Husband, thank you for the meal! It was delicious! I will come again! Thank you for reading until the end. I hope this information can be of some help for your gourmet adventures.

I played futsal at a nearby court until 12:00 and then came here to eat. It was around 12:45 on a weekday but I was able to get in without waiting. The food came out in less than 10 minutes after ordering. The photo shows the B set for 1200 yen. From left to right, there is hamburger, shrimp fry, and tonkatsu. They were all very delicious and the vegetables were also plentiful, making it a well-balanced meal. The rice portion was quite generous so I was very satisfied.

I mentioned wanting to go there a while back. Today, I didn't feel like making dinner so I went there for the first time in the evening. Even at night, the place was full of customers so we were seated in a private room in the back for the first time. I tried their miso soup for the first time, and it had a light miso flavor with dumplings. The sesame oil added a nice touch to the flavor.

On August 11th (Friday), I went to "Shinfuji Honten" in Nishinari-ku for brunch. It was my first time visiting this highly popular restaurant with long queues, as seen on Tabelog and other websites. I arrived 20 minutes before opening and there was no line in front of the restaurant. I parked my car at a nearby parking lot and headed towards the restaurant 10 minutes before opening. The staff kindly let me in early due to the hot weather and brought me the menu and water. I ordered the A set while my wife ordered the B set. The classic Western-style dishes were incredibly delicious, and even though we usually don't eat shrimp, we both enjoyed the shrimp fry. As we paid and left the restaurant, the staff thanked us for coming in the hot weather, leaving us feeling truly happy as we walked away from the restaurant. #ShinfujiHonten #lunch #Aset #Bset

Visited with one other person on Saturday at 12:06. Only two counter seats were available, so we took them. It was a great spot to watch the chefs in action! Started with a beer mix salad, which arrived promptly. The sweet dressing was delicious. For the main dish, we ordered the special pork cutlet (loin) fried rice. The cutlet arrived at 12:28, generously topped with demiglace sauce. It was light and flavorful. The fried rice was excellent as well. Ordered a shochu highball and enjoyed everything in one go. Highly recommend this place. Please note that the restaurant was busy by around 12:40 on that day.

My favorite Western-style restaurant near my workplace. Today, after finishing work, I decided to come here to have some Western food while drinking beer. However, the cream croquettes that I always order were sold out... so I ended up ordering the famous pork chop from Shin-Fuji-san. It was quite a generous portion and delicious. Thank you very much.

I headed to a popular restaurant that has been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants three times. I arrived 30 minutes early because the roads were clear, and I decided to wait in a nearby parking lot before opening at 11 am. When I opened the door at 11:05, I was surprised to see that the restaurant was almost full. It turned out they were open before the official opening time, catering to their regular customers. Luckily, I managed to get a seat at the counter as there were two empty seats. The menu featured a variety of Western dishes, with tonkatsu as the main dish along with beef cutlet, shrimp fry, fried chicken, croquette, and more. Instead of ordering the popular dishes, I decided to try something different. The ham and egg dish was simple but well-prepared, and the dry curry had a nice texture with a strong flavor. The staff, including two men and three women (including the female owner), provided excellent service. I look forward to trying their famous lunch set next time.

I chose a Western-style restaurant from the top 100 restaurants in 2023 to get a medal! I went for the daily lunch special which was pork cutlet. I was a bit hesitant but ended up ordering the hamburger. It was soft and juicy, and it came with a side salad, fried egg, and pasta. It was so delicious! The restaurant was busy with regular customers and they even offered takeout. It was worth the bike ride in the hot weather. Thank you for the likes and comments on my Instagram. I am currently enjoying a maternity gourmet life. Thank you for your support!

A long-established Western-style restaurant that has been in business for nearly 60 years in a residential area. The interior has a nostalgic diner atmosphere that is calming. The adult and child set meal "Set A" is priced at 1,850 yen. It includes large shrimp fry, tonkatsu, hamburger, roast ham, salad, and spaghetti. The set also comes with rice. The plump shrimp fry, tender tonkatsu, and carefully made demi-glace sauce are delicious. The mayonnaise and dressing are homemade and tasty. The thick slices of roast ham provide a satisfying bite. The warm and welcoming service, run by a family, exudes a nostalgic charm of the old town. The quick service from ordering to serving is appreciated. Instagram: @masayan.310

I came here for the first time in the evening. I ordered a beer and had beef sinew stew as a side dish. It was so delicious that I would like to order it regularly. I usually order cream croquettes, but today I also ordered pork ginger stir-fry. Everything was delicious. Thank you very much.

Ordered menu: Set A for 1850 yen Located a 10-minute walk from Nankai Kishikoshitamae Station, this Western-style restaurant has been selected as one of the top 100 Western-style restaurants in 2020, 2022, and 2023. It has a historical feel like a traditional Japanese house. Inside, there are counter seats right as you enter, table seats, and tatami seats in the back. I ordered Set A, which includes a large shrimp fry, hamburger, tonkatsu, and roast ham. When ordering individual items, rice is separate, but with the set menu, rice is included, making it feel like a good deal. It arrived in about 10 minutes. The batter was crispy and dark in color, with a strong aroma of frying oil. The large shrimp fry came with a tangy homemade mayonnaise-like sauce that matched well with the crispy batter and the sweetness of the shrimp. The hamburger, although small, was packed with meat and had a rich flavor. The demi-glace sauce was rich and slightly sweet, with a refreshing aftertaste that enhanced the umami of the meat and paired well with the rice. The tonkatsu, although I thought it was hire katsu based on the size, turned out to be loin katsu. It had a slight sweetness from the fat, a meaty texture, and although I initially thought it was a bit hard from the frying, it was actually tender and delicious. The seasoning was a bit strong, and I felt that it was not well balanced with the demi-glace sauce. The roast ham was just a small portion, and it came with cucumber, tomato, and parsley as sides, which was a nice touch. The rice was slightly soft in texture. Overall, it was a charming old-fashioned Western-style restaurant with friendly service that seemed to be loved by the local residents. Thank you for the meal.

I struggled between choosing the famous pork chop or shrimp fry, but ultimately decided on the A set. The restaurant is located about a 15-minute walk from Nankai Tengachaya Station and about 10 minutes from Kishisato Tamade Station, tucked away in a residential area. The A set includes hamburger, shrimp fry, and tonkatsu, making it a perfect lunch for adults. The hamburger was fluffy, the shrimp fry was plump, and the tonkatsu was incredibly tender. Paired with demi-glace sauce, it was a perfect match and I was completely absorbed in enjoying every bite until I finished it all!

Today I worked in Senbon, Nishinari Ward! I finished work by 11 o'clock and had an early lunch at the top Western-style restaurant in Nishinari. The menu at the restaurant looked like this, and I couldn't decide what to eat... The B set for 1200 yen was a great choice with hamburger, butterfly shrimp fry, and tonkatsu served with homemade demi-glace sauce and mayonnaise. It truly is a famous restaurant and I was completely satisfied with the delicious meal. Thank you for the feast! Shinfuji Main Store. Nishinari Kishisato Tamade is a long-established Western-style restaurant with a history of 60 years. The pork chop is famous here, but I was lured by the large shrimp and ordered the A set. However, the large shrimp fry was impressive and the homemade mayonnaise went well with it. The hamburger had a unique flavor, but it was not bad. The tonkatsu was small but tender and delicious. I tried a bite of the pork chop my companion ordered, and it seemed more like tonkatsu. A set (large shrimp fry, hamburger, tonkatsu) 1850 yen. Potage soup 400 yen.

The timing for enjoying the grilled rice dish was perfect, as the owner mentioned. There was a line just a moment ago. Today, the weather is nice after a long time, and I'm feeling great! Let's indulge in this luxurious lunch. It was incredibly delicious. The shrimp was so big that it didn't fit in the photo. We all realized that timing is crucial in life.

I always have cream croquette and potage soup, so today I had Set A with pork miso soup. It includes hamburger, shrimp fry, and pork cutlet. Everything was delicious. The difference from Set B is that it comes with sliced ham and the shrimp fry is whole, but I think I'm fine with Set A. Next week, I want to have cream croquette again.
