▫️ Golden Fortune: Milk Kintoki with Gold Leaf and Uji Matcha Espuma - 8,880 yen*▫️ Genmaicha and White Peach Bubu Arare - 1,150 yen*▫️ Hojicha Royal Milk Tea - 650 yen◌ Adding Warabi Mochi - +100 yen*▫️ Wakocha Royal Milk Tea - 650 yen◌ Adding Warabi Mochi - +100 yen. I visited Toyouke Stand, which uses carefully selected domestic ingredients, to enjoy their limited-time kakigori and milk tea ( ⁎ᵕᴗᵕ⁎ )❤︎. The "Omi Hyou" (Divine Ice) is made with natural mineral water, embracing the spirit of Shinto and a sense of oneness with nature. The price for the milk kintoki is an astounding 8,880 yen‼️✨. It consists of two types of ice: milk ice made from low-temperature pasteurized milk and brown sugar syrup ice. On top is an espuma made with Uji matcha from Kyoto, and two sheets of gold leaf from Kanazawa adorn it, adding to its luxuriousness✨✨. One of the gold leaves has the character for "fortune" on it. It also comes with sweet red beans from Hokkaido and shiratama dumplings. At the top of the kakigori is a tiny torii shrine made from sugar candy “Ikkihe,” adding a cute touch. Once the gold powder is sprinkled on top, the beautiful and sparkling milk kintoki is complete. It's so divine that I couldn't help but pray to it✨꒰* ॢꈍ◡ꈍ ॢ꒱.*˚‧... With plenty of volume, it’s satisfying enough to share. The other one, ˗ˏˋ Bubu Arare Kakigori ˎˊ˗, is topped with white peach flesh and bubu arare. The texture and saltiness of the bubu arare pairs perfectly with the ripe white peach. As for the milk tea, I added warabi mochi! The small cut pieces of warabi mochi have a chewy texture that slides down smoothly, and I really loved this drink. Being able to choose sweetness, warmth, and coolness makes it even better❣️. It’s still hot in Kyoto, so definitely come and visit!

Experience good fortune just by eating! At the summer-exclusive Kakigori from the Luck-Bringing Sweets Cafe, 【TOYOUKE STAND】 located at 607-21 Okuda Building, Ura-teramachi, Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto City, I had the pleasure of trying their dish: ▶︎ Fortune-bringing Shaved Ice with Gold Leaf and Uji Matcha Espuma Milk Kintoki for ¥8,880 (including tax). This cafe is guided by a commitment to the traditional Japanese culture of Shinto and the spirit of "Wa" (harmony), using ingredients typically found in Shinto offerings and carefully selected domestic ingredients to create their luck-bringing sweets. I ordered the summer-only "Omi-hyou" (shaved ice). The price might make you gasp at ¥8,880, but it is made with low-temperature pasteurized milk for the milk ice, and it features a rich espuma cream made from premium Uji matcha from Kyoto. It is generously topped with Hokkaido-produced adzuki beans and chewy mochi, plus two sheets of gold leaf from Kanazawa for an extravagant and unique treat you can only find here! ✨ The ice was light and fluffy, with a smooth texture, making it absolutely delightful. Before indulging, I offered a prayer saying, "Protect us and grant us fortune," which made me feel incredibly purified. After enjoying the kakigori, I left the cafe feeling refreshed! ☺️ It's just a short walk from Hankyu Kyoto Kawaramachi Station, so if you're in Kyoto, make sure to check it out! (^ ^)♡

At the fortune-bringing sweets cafe TOYOUKE STAND, a new item has debuted: the "Kaimun Crepe Kamiyui"! ♡ ☑ Black syrup and kinako (roasted soybean flour) warabi mochi - 1150 yen ☑ Japanese tea mixed tea brulee - 1150 yen ☑ Japanese black tea with cinnamon apple royal milk tea - 730 yen ☑ Deep-steamed green tea royal milk tea - 650 yen Add an exquisite honey for +300 yen or kami-shio (sacred salt) milk foam for +150 yen. ☑ Tea ground cookies - 150 yen ☑ Pound cake - 390 yen You can enjoy two textures, crispy and chewy, with the Kaimun Crepe. I ordered the chewy texture crepe, which is freshly made as they cook the batter after you place your order, allowing you to savor the warm chewy texture. There are beautiful performances such as the sound of the kagura bells and the chanting of Shinto words to invoke good fortune when the dish is served! The crepe comes with an "original omikuji" (fortune slip) written in both Japanese and English, indicating your luck! The coupon varies depending on your fortune, and I received a "good luck" one, which gave me a 100 yen discount. The royal milk tea comes with wobbly warabi mochi and allows for customization of sweetness and the amount of warabi mochi, so you can enjoy it just the way you like! ♬

The new brand of fortune crepes "Kami Yui" will be launched on April 6 at the TOYOUKE STAND Kyoto Kawaramachi store! This unique crepe focuses on traditional Japanese culture, Shinto, and the spirit of Japan, with a commitment to the quality of ingredients and presentation. Starting from April 6, the fortune crepe "Kuro Mizu Kinako Hon Warabi Mochi" ranks as the number 2 best seller, while "Kami Shio Honey" takes the top spot. The most popular drink is the "Hojicha Royal Milk Tea." I had the chance to enjoy these treats beforehand, and the beautiful staff showcased a charming performance before I dug in. The crepes have a lovely Kyoto aesthetic that really lifts your spirits! The "Kuro Mizu Kinako Hon Warabi Mochi" features warabi mochi, sweet red beans, and black syrup, all presented beautifully. It even comes with a fortune slip, making it a delightful and delicious choice! The "Kami Shio Honey" has a crispy texture with a slight chewiness inside, combining butter, honey, and salt for an unbeatable flavor experience. The "Hojicha Royal Milk Tea" can be customized to your liking in terms of sweetness and ice levels, which is a nice touch, and it includes warabi mochi, making it exceptionally tasty!

This café, which uses ingredients offered to the gods as offerings (shinsen), serves sweets and drinks that are said to bring good fortune. Following the success of its first location in Hong Kong, the second store has opened in Shijo Kawaramachi (>ω<). The menu features drinks like Gold Pavilion Matcha Milk Tea, Japanese Tea Royal Milk Tea, and Japanese Tea Fruit Tea, as well as the chewy "Divine Salt Warabi Mochi." I ordered the Deep Steamed Green Tea Royal Milk Tea (650 yen), which is made with the finest first leaves grown in the Tea Grassland of Kakegawa City, Shizuoka Prefecture, recognized as a Global Agricultural Heritage Site. This drink is generously filled with warabi mochi made from real warabi starch. When the drink is served, the staff rings a sacred bell to pray for good fortune (>ω<).

I visited a tea stand in the Kawaramachi area of Kyoto. **Kawaramachi Toyouke Stand** This is a tea stand focused on Japanese tea, located behind the main street of Kawaramachi. It features a distinctive noren (a traditional fabric divider) that resembles a god's curtain. The stand uses only the very first leaves of sencha tea that are cultivated using the “Chagusaba” method, which is recognized as a World Agricultural Heritage from Shizuoka. The interior is designed with just a drink pick-up counter. A staff member dressed in white runs the place solo. Inside, there are several spots perfect for taking fun photos, and the atmosphere is modern and inviting. The menu includes items like "Kami-enishi" (Royal Milk Tea), "Kami-musubi" (Fortune Crepe), and "Omi-hyou" (Natural Clear Water Kakigori - shaved ice). When my drink was ready, it was placed on a pedestal for offerings, and the staff performed a purification ritual while ringing a bell, reciting “Mamoritamae Sakiwataemasae” (a blessing for protection and prosperity). This unique service has been well-received by foreign tourists who love Japan. I ordered the deep-steamed green tea royal milk tea. Inside the drink, there were cut pieces of warabi mochi (bracken starch dumplings) at the bottom. They used a thick straw, similar to those often found in tapioca drinks, making it easy to enjoy the chewy texture of the mochi. The fragrant flavor of the green tea was delightful, and it’s clear that they take their ingredients seriously! This tea stand was a fun experience, overflowing with an entertaining atmosphere of purification for the food, while also focusing on quality ingredients and flavors.
