Today, my son who came back home and I went fishing in the Niseko area. We had some success in the morning, but after moving around the area, the fishing wasn't as good. When we headed towards Yoichi, we encountered strong winds. We decided to look for lunch in Yoichi, but it seemed difficult to find a place to eat. We had a similar experience in Otaru, so we decided to go to Otaru Saka, a reliable option where we had to wait for 4 groups ahead of us. We have been customers of this restaurant for 15 years, and we usually order the Ichiban Dashi Ramen, but this time, we were too hungry. My son had Miso Tsukemen, and I had Otaru's famous Ankake Yakisoba. The portions at this restaurant are generous, so we left feeling very satisfied. We were so full that I felt sleepy while driving back home.

Today, I wanted to eat Ankake Yakisoba so I went to Wing Bay. I tried going to Hanahana-san, but there was a notice saying they were temporarily closed. Oh well... I ended up going to a certain store on the second floor, but looking at the menu photos in front of the shop, it didn't seem to be to my liking, so I ultimately went to Otaru-zaka-san. It's been a while, over five and a half years. It's always quite popular with a lot of customers. I'm not exactly sure why it's so popular. Today, it was packed with customers again. I ordered the Ankake Yakisoba (880 yen). Listening to other customers' orders, most of them were ordering Ankake Yakisoba or Otarukko Ramen. The Ankake Yakisoba was a jumbo size! The sauce was strong and stayed thick until the end. The rich flavor was not bad. However, the noodles were like soba noodles and a bit bland. If the noodles were different, it might have been even better. Still, I managed to finish it all in one go. Thank you for the meal~.

Light and delicious! It's like eating ramen at the beginning of a fresh hot pot meal, not as the finishing touch. The soup is full of flavor and the soaked in fu is so tasty. I finished the soup completely. The heavy wooden chair, shaped to fit your bottom perfectly, is surprisingly comfortable even without a cushion. It feels like being embraced by the chair.

After many years, I came to Wing Bay Otaru with my mother to watch a movie. We wanted to go to a cafe, but we didn't have enough time before the movie started, so we settled for this nearby restaurant. We ordered miso ramen and fried rice set, while my mother ordered ankake yakisoba and fried rice set. The ramen was decently delicious, but the noodles had a slightly rubbery texture. The ankake noodles were a bit thin, so the texture was overshadowed by the sauce. We didn't have high expectations, so the taste was as we imagined. Thank you for the meal!

It was a little past lunchtime and I was able to enter without waiting. I ordered Ankake Yakisoba and Gyoza, but had to wait for over 30 minutes for them to come out. I was really hungry. The portion was huge and had a strong visual impact. The noodles seemed a bit powdery and the overall taste was quite bland and vague. I tried to mask the flavor with vinegar and mustard while eating, but I don't think I need to visit again.

I went to Otaru-zaka in Wing Bay! I knew there was a ramen shop here, but I had never been inside. I ordered the Otaru-kko Ramen. It had a light chicken broth that was different from salt ramen, making it very easy to eat. The chashu was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The noodles were whole wheat with a chewy texture, which I really enjoyed. I was surprised by the thinly sliced egg on top - it was like, "Is this really just half an egg?!" I thought to myself. Is this the traditional style? And the ankake yakisoba! It was a huge portion, definitely enough for two people to share. The flavor was rich, but adding vinegar or chili oil made it more refreshing and tasty. The ingredients included various vegetables and thinly sliced meat that was hard to identify. And the amount of mustard and pickled ginger was overwhelming! I didn't need that much. The sauce was too heavy and didn't mix well with the noodles. However, I was impressed by the portion size. When eating at AKY, make sure to come on an empty stomach or share with someone else. Thank you for the meal!

I came to eat ankake yakisoba, but the lunch set menu had a "half ankake yakisoba" option? + half fried rice. That wasn't enough for me! So, I changed it to the same ramen + fried chicken set with my colleague! The ramen was miso ramen, honestly, I didn't have high expectations for a shop in the shopping mall. The fried chicken and rice were just average. Miso Ramen: It was unexpectedly delicious! Noodles: Medium-thin curly noodles. Soup: A soup with a strong broth made from animal products, vegetables, and seaweed. Toppings: Char siu, menma, bean sprouts, chopped green onions, naruto. This was really good, I want to eat it again. Another colleague ordered the "half ankake yakisoba," but it was not really "half"! There was plenty of it. It seems like it was actually a jumbo ankake. I'm torn between which one was better. I might have a hard time deciding which lunch menu to choose next time I go.

The ramen shop in the huge shopping mall, Otaru Saka, always has Otaru-kko ramen (we call it Taru-kko ramen at home), but today I'm in the mood for miso. I can't remember the last time I had miso ramen from this shop, since it was before I started using Tabelog. It's a bit chilly outside, so I decided to order miso ramen without garlic before work. I also ordered a side of rice. I just realized that the miso ramen here is the same price as other ramen, at 700 yen, and it's made with red miso, which is usually 50 yen more expensive at other places. I'm happy about that. While sipping on water and playing with my phone, the food arrived surprisingly quickly. It's nice to be served quickly. I was curious how it would taste without garlic, and it turns out the miso has a rich flavor with plenty of bean sprouts. It's quite "intense," almost salty. It goes well with the rice, so personally, I like it this way. I drank lots of water and finished it all. I also tried a bit of my companion's Taru-kko ramen. Hmm, Taru-kko ramen is really delicious. It's light and simple yet flavorful. Yummy. But the miso ramen is not bad either! It's a good option to consider in the future.

I visited Wing Bay Otaru, located next to Otaru Chikko Station, for the first time in several years. Otaru is famous for its ankake yakisoba, so I decided to try it at this restaurant. I ordered the ankake yakisoba without looking at the menu. The restaurant was quiet as I avoided the lunch rush, and I was seated at a spacious table. The ankake yakisoba was served on a large plate, and I was worried if I could finish it all. However, I managed to eat it all. The noodles were not too firm and the soy sauce-based sauce was standard. I would recommend this dish to those who want to eat a lot. As I was leaving, I saw two women who ordered ramen and yakisoba for three people, making me realize I still have a long way to go. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I visited Otaru Sakasan. The soul food of Otaru, Ankake Yakisoba, is said to have a huge portion, so I decided to check it out. The restaurant only has table seating, so it might be a bit challenging for those with small children. I ordered the Ankake Yakisoba, and the staff were all very efficient and friendly. When the food arrived, I was surprised by the large portion. It's a lot of food! It's a good thing I decided to share. It's a hefty portion even for women. I think men would be satisfied with it. They also offer a set with rice called "Couple-kun," which is great for sharing with children. The taste is something that everyone would enjoy. Personally, I really liked it. Thank you for the meal.

Visited after 5 years, in November 2018. Last time I had ramen here, the impression wasn't great, but decided to give it another try after so long. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of Wing Bay and has been one of the few food establishments operating since the facility opened, always having a decent number of customers.
Ordered the "Otaru Kid Ramen" for 700 yen, intrigued by the name. The ramen that arrived had a nostalgic old-fashioned look to it. The soup was a light salt ramen made with chicken broth and seasonings, bringing back memories of the past. The noodles were slightly thick, curly, and cooked on the firmer side. The toppings included bamboo shoots, chashu pork, fish cake, boiled egg, spinach, green onions, and seaweed, all complementing the soup with their old-school charm.
If they could improve the chashu to be more tender and melt-in-your-mouth, it would be even better. Overall, compared to past experiences, this ramen was decent. If I have the chance to eat here again, I would choose the "Otaru Kid Ramen" without hesitation.

This is a ramen restaurant in Wing Bay Otaru. They have a variety of menu items including soy sauce, miso, salt, and tsukemen, but their specialty seems to be the Ankake Yakisoba. I ordered the Soy Sauce Tsukemen in a large size (¥700) and it was ready in about 8 minutes. The thin curly noodles had a good texture and were served with a rich dipping sauce. The standout feature was the chashu pork which was flavorful and delicious. Overall, the tsukemen was decent with a mild flavor profile.
