The service lunch with a daily bowl of soba for 650 yen is an absolute bargain. The selection of bowls, chosen from the customer's perspective, is known for its delicious taste. Not only is the volume and flavor excellent, but the restaurant is also located in a stunning location run by a friendly couple. In a season without snow, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the deep blue sea. Eating soba while looking out at this view is sure to relax a tired mind. The ample parking lot is also a plus, and the snow removal in the deep winter was perfect. The mori soba for 550 yen has a clear and refreshing soup that is familiar and easy for both regular customers and newcomers to enjoy. The generous portion size is satisfying, and the thin soba noodles, rinsed in cold water, have a pleasant texture. The fresh green onions as a topping are also easily accepted by the general public. It is also nice that they serve hot soba water at the right time. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I was planning to go to a nearby soba restaurant, but it was unexpectedly closed. I remembered there was another soba restaurant in the neighborhood, so I decided to try it out. It's called Kaikansen, located along the coast. I had been there once before, back when they didn't have an online review platform. Last time I went in the winter, so all I could see outside the window was a wall of snow piled up high, not the sea. This time, I could see the ocean clearly. The restaurant is run by an elderly couple. I ordered the most popular item on the menu, the Tendon Set (850 yen), and a Soba Tea Ice Cream (180 yen). The soba was a bit watery, but the tempura in the Tendon Set was crispy and delicious with a sweet sauce. The soba tea ice cream had a nice crunchy texture on top. It was a tasty dessert. I went just before lunchtime, and although there were no customers when I arrived, regulars started coming in one after another. It seems like a restaurant loved by the locals. Thank you for the meal!

I knew about this restaurant but visited for the first time. It was mostly filled with office workers. It is located by the sea, and you can see the Sea of Japan from the windows. It must be nice on a sunny day. It seems like it is run by a couple. The service was a bit slow, probably because they were busy. I ordered the tempura rice bowl set for ¥850, which is their most popular dish. The soba was simple and tasty, but the rice in the tempura bowl was a bit soft. The bowl had two large prawns and the portion size was satisfying. It's a decent place for a regular lunch.

Since I had work in Zenibako, I was planning to have lunch there as well. However, I was invited by the business partner to have lunch together. When we arrived, it was the restaurant's regular holiday... Not my bad luck, haha. We decided to try another place, and luckily it was open. The restaurant had a nice view of the sea from the window. It was run by a friendly elderly couple. The most popular dish was the tempura bowl set with soba. I ordered the cold soba with the tempura set. The service was a bit slow due to the sudden influx of customers, but we waited patiently. When the tempura set arrived, the soba was slightly lacking in firmness, and the broth was on the sweeter side. The tempura included shrimp, green pepper, smelt fish, eggplant, and pumpkin. The batter was crispy, and the shrimp and smelt fish were delicious. However, the sauce was a bit too mild for my taste. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. I would like to try a different dish next time I visit.

It's a location in Otaru City, located on the seaside of the road in Zenihama. However, since this description is not very helpful, please check the map on Tabelog as usual. After a long time, I decided to try the "ramen at a soba restaurant" concept. The number of soba restaurants in Otaru City that serve ramen is decreasing year by year, so I wanted to try it before they disappear. I visited this restaurant this time. The restaurant was easy to find, and I parked my car in the parking lot where there seemed to be more than 10 spots available in front of the restaurant. I entered the restaurant and sat at a vacant counter seat. I looked at the "ramen" menu posted in front of me and ordered the simplest "kake ramen". It arrived in 6-7 minutes. As expected, it was a "soba restaurant's dashi ramen", so there was no oil floating on the surface of the soup. First, I tried the soup, which was a light bonito broth with a slightly strong "kaeshi", making it a rich soba soup with a slightly salty taste. Next, the noodles were thin, high-water content, curly noodles that I rarely see. Finally, the toppings were simple with only fu, kamaboko, mitsuba, and green onions since it was a "kake ramen". It seemed like they simply put ramen noodles in soba soup as written on the menu, but from a ramen perspective, the price felt a bit high.

Located near the Otaru Country Club old course in Zenihama, Otaru City, is the soba restaurant "Kaieian" with a view of the sea. It may be the closest soba restaurant to the sea along the Sea of Japan. There is a parking lot in front of the shop. After climbing a few steps, you enter the shop. As soon as you step inside, you can see the Zenihama coastline. The large windows facing the sea offer a fantastic view. The interior has counter seats and table seats. The place was almost full with customers. I recommend trying the lunch set, which includes soba and pork bowl. I ordered cold soba. The soba was served after a short wait. The portion was generous and satisfying. The noodles were a bit soft, and the dipping sauce had just the right amount of flavor. Next, I tried the pork bowl. It was light and refreshing rather than heavy. Enjoying soba and pork bowl while looking at the sea was a delightful experience. It was a great meal.

A salaryman came in. The view wasn't great, but the interior wasn't too spacious. There were a few people at the counter and about 5 table seats. The atmosphere was nice. I went for lunch, and the daily special was pork bowl. My husband ordered that, while I had tempura bowl. You can choose between warm or cold soba. The portions were quite generous and the taste was simple yet delicious. I was worried the tempura bowl might be too salty because it looked soupy, but it was actually fine. The pork bowl was also tasty. The staff were attentive, quickly refilling our water.

The place is located in Otaru City, Zenihama 3-chome. It is along Zenihama Bay, offering a view of the sea. Unfortunately, it is near the closed Sea Shou, with over 10 parking spaces available but not easily accessible by other means of transportation. The entrance of the restaurant has the words "Soba Workshop" on the left side. The noodles seem to be hand-made. The menu offers low-priced options, including udon and ramen. The "Duck Seiro" is recommended, made with Takkawa duck for a luxurious touch. The duck broth is flavorful, with a good amount of duck meat and tasty green onions. The noodles are thin and uniform, lacking in firmness but carrying the flavor of soba. Finally, a soba broth is served, most likely made from the noodle cooking water. Overall, the restaurant offers affordable prices and delicious Takkawa duck.
