On Monday, my wife and I visited a popular charcoal-grilled restaurant called Tii in Tanimachi Yonchome after a long time. It's just a short walk away from Warakashi in Tanimachi. The lunch at Warakashi is also very popular! This restaurant is so popular that you need to make a reservation a month in advance! We also made a reservation about a month ago. The place was fully booked for the night as well! The menu includes horse sashimi, venison, homemade smoked dishes, koji dishes, Okinawan cuisine, and premium raw mozuku seaweed dishes. The owner, who is also a sake sommelier, has a great selection of Japanese sake, authentic shochu, awamori, and more. The dishes were delicious and went well with the drinks! The classic dashimaki tamago was made with raw mozuku seaweed! Although the mentaiko (spicy cod roe) version is tasty, the raw mozuku version is a must-try here! In Kansai, it's rare to find high-quality raw mozuku like this. The cost-performance ratio is amazing! The homemade smoked dish assortment was also consistently delicious. The koji gyoza was so popular that only five pieces were left, so we managed to grab the last five! The tsukemen with raw mozuku topping is also recommended! It's best enjoyed with their homemade Koregusu (a seasoning made with awamori and island chili peppers). We had a relaxing time there. You can pay with cash or PayPay. Since the seating is limited, making a reservation is recommended. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I visited before 12 o'clock on a regular day. I had to give up yesterday because there was a line, so I tried again. There were a few customers in the shop, but I was able to sit down easily. The atmosphere inside the shop was very nice with a traditional Japanese feel. The cold green tea was also good. The teriyaki grilled yellowtail set meal for 900 yen. The miso soup was a bit light, but the broth was flavorful. The teriyaki yellowtail was elegantly cooked and had a sophisticated taste. It was really delicious ☺️ The other dishes made me want to try them as well, as they were of a high quality. I will definitely visit again. Thank you. It was a feast♪ *When I left the shop, there were about 5 people waiting. I was lucky with the timing.

I went to "Tanimachi Warakashi" for lunch. It seems to be a type of izakaya. They had four different daily lunch sets priced at 900 yen each. I chose the "Kanpachi Saikyo-yaki set". It came with cold green tea and a hot towel. It was a hot day, so it was delicious! The set included salad, simmered dish, pickles. It was well-balanced in nutrition. There was miso soup and rice with barley. Also well-balanced and healthy! The highlight was the "Kanpachi Saikyo-yaki". It was surprisingly delicious! Saikyo-yaki is a dish where fish or meat marinated in Saikyo miso, a traditional white miso from Kyoto, is grilled. The restaurant is located in the "Onawa Building", which has a pentagonal shape and its entrance faces northwest at the intersection.

Based on the review that reservations are required, I made a reservation and visited. It was my first time trying horse sashimi, and I was surprised by how different the taste and texture were depending on the cut! Every dish was delicious, the drinks kept flowing, and I ended up eating too much~ I definitely want to go back again!

Okinawan cuisine is excellent. A popular restaurant that you can't get into without a reservation on Sundays at 5 o'clock. I used to dislike the bitterness of bitter melon, but on this day, I came to like bitter melon champuru. It was so delicious! The Okinawan soba is also top-notch. Will definitely come back again.

From the morning, I finished my day shift in about 2 hours (*^◯^*) I can earn more than working night shifts (lol) Now, I was planning to organize the medicines and supplies in preparation for the busy season, but decided to have lunch first. I parked my car at a monthly parking lot, and walked about 10 minutes to a popular restaurant called "Yamamachi Warakashi" located between Tani 4 and Tani 6! Even though it was past 12:30, there was still a line! The prices were a bit high around this area, but the popularity must mean the food is delicious! While waiting in line, a female staff member asked if I had decided on my order. There were various lunch menu options, but of course, I chose the Miso Chicken Karaage Set for 900 yen, where you can choose from two types of sauces: grated ponzu or sweet vinegar tartar. In about 5-6 minutes, the Miso Chicken Karaage Set arrived! The presentation was like a curry with salad in the middle, with grated ponzu on the left and sweet vinegar tartar on the right. It came with simmered vegetables, pickles, miso soup, and multigrain rice with free refills, making the 900 yen price reasonable. I started with the miso soup, which had a gentle taste, but as someone who prefers stronger flavors, I wasn't completely satisfied. I wanted to eat the salad first, but I didn't want the sauces to mix, so I took a bite of the sweet vinegar tartar first. It had a light sweet vinegar taste that complemented the karaage well. Then, I tried the grated ponzu, which had a refreshing taste that brought out the flavor of the karaage. With 3 servings of grated ponzu and 2 servings of tartar, I thought it was a bit too much, but I managed to finish everything after enjoying the pickles and getting a refill of multigrain rice. There seem to be more sauce options available, so I look forward to trying them all! About 90% of the customers were ordering the Miso Chicken Karaage Set. It was a delicious meal. Thank you.

I couldn't go for lunch on weekends, so I finally made it on a weekday! When I arrived at the restaurant at 11:30 am, it was already almost full. I was torn between the daily specials of meat and potato stew and grilled yellowtail with miso, but I ended up ordering the koji-marinated fried chicken set meal for 900 yen. You can choose 2 out of 7 sauces, so I chose "scallion sauce" and "sweet vinegar tartar". The food was served in less than 5 minutes. It came with multigrain rice, miso soup, side dishes, and pickles. There were 5 pieces of fried chicken of medium size. They were not too soft, but with 2 different sauces, it was enjoyable without getting tired of the taste. I sat at the counter and it was a bit cramped, with no space for bags, and I accidentally bumped into the staff a few times, which was a bit bothersome. When I left, there were already several people waiting outside, showing that it's a popular restaurant. Thank you for the meal! ★

I ordered the "Malted Chicken Karaage Set Meal" for 900 yen including tax. You can choose 2 sauces out of 8 options, so I chose "Grated Ponzu" and "Sweet Vinegar Tartar". It was delicious as expected. You can get free refills of the brown rice. The side dishes, pickles, and miso soup were all delicious without fail. It seems like they recently raised their prices a bit, but considering the quality of the meal, I think it's still quite cheap.

I have visited this restaurant for lunch several times and it became one of my favorites, but this was my first time dining there at night. We started with a toast with highball and enjoyed a tasting set starting with sashimi and including horse sashimi. It was great that we could choose any sake we wanted for the set. The dishes were all of high quality and the service was excellent. There were various sizes of sake available, which was great for me as I enjoy sake but can't handle strong drinks. The potato salad, not shown in the photos, was also delicious. I will definitely visit again!

When looking at the food log, there seem to be some well-rated restaurants around the Tani 4 area. So, I made a reservation and headed there. The restaurant is located in the middle of Tani 4 and Tani 6, just a block west of Tanimachi-suji. It's a small place with a staff area in the back that feels like a secret base for kids. Sometimes, you can hear children playing, but it's not loud or weird. The menu includes fresh sashimi, smoked dishes, fried chicken, dumplings, horse sashimi, and mozuku. The lineup has a touch of exotic flavors from the south, hitting the spot. Honestly, it was really good, so I find myself going back often. My go-to orders are the delicious koji gyoza, crispy and juicy koji-fried chicken with a variety of dipping sauces, flavorful horse sashimi, irresistible smoked platter, and addicting potato salad with smoked bacon. The seasonal sashimi and the excellent service and atmosphere of the restaurant also add to the great taste.

A Japanese izakaya located in Tani 6. I was drawn in by the menu board outside that said "Keema Miso Curry" and decided to go in. The interior had a warm and cozy atmosphere. The hostess was very kind and the whole place felt welcoming. The "Keema Miso Curry Rice Set" was priced at 850 yen including tax, and it came with a generous serving of curry rice with large chunks of potatoes and lotus root, salad, side dishes, miso soup, and pickles. And to top it off, it came with a glass of iced green tea. The value for the price was amazing. The curry was delicious, with a mild flavor that was enhanced by the miso and keema, and it paired perfectly with the vegetables. It was truly a curry made by a Japanese cuisine chef. I was very satisfied. The atmosphere was great, and I believe their a la carte dishes are also delicious, so I definitely want to come back for dinner. Highly recommended!

I wanted to eat fish, preferably fish that is nicely grilled. This place used to be a udon restaurant with a unique atmosphere, but I noticed that it had changed. The fish set meal I was looking for, priced at 850 yen. I also saw someone ordering a meat set meal and the fried chicken looked delicious. It's just the right amount for women and middle-aged men, but I saw someone getting a refill of rice, so it's possible.

On my second visit, I ordered dishes like fresh mozuku seaweed, salt koji fried chicken, and a smoked platter. Unlike my first visit where I didn't stay long, this time I enjoyed the food even more and found it very delicious. The drinks, like the sours made with fresh fruit juice, were also good. I've been eyeing the nearby #Tanimachi Warakashi for a while now. They are closed on Saturdays but open on Sundays. I tried to make a reservation a few times before Sundays, but it's quite popular. Finally, I was able to go with a reservation. The place has a small capacity with 4-5 counter seats and 2 tables, accommodating about 15 people. It's run by a warm couple, and the atmosphere is cozy and calming. The #Zaru Mozuku noodles from #Izenashima were incredibly delicious. They even offered to cut the fried chicken into smaller pieces for the kids and served the sauce separately. The same goes for the rice balls, offering smaller portions for the children. The #Koji Gyoza was also delicious, along with the horse sashimi and deer meat yukhoe. I definitely want to come back with my family. They even have a #kids room with games, making it perfect for children. I ordered the popular tempura set meal. Before the set meal arrived, they served me tea, which surprised me with its color that looked like green juice. When the set meal arrived, I was amazed by the generous portion of tempura. It came with two large Onomichi lemon slices, which paired well with the hot tempura, adding a delicious tangy flavor. I also appreciated that the rice was red rice, which I personally liked. They mentioned that you can get a rice refill, so I had one refill and left feeling full and satisfied. During a regular lunchtime visit, the restaurant was bustling with many customers. I sat at the counter and ordered the chicken karaage set meal. I could choose the sauce, so I went with the green onion sauce. It was similar to Yurinchi, I suppose. It was served in about 5 minutes. The karaage had a unique shape, about 5 pieces. Thanks to the koji, it had a mellow flavor. I did find the coating a bit excessive and the portion slightly lacking. The miso soup, salad, and rice were delicious. I paid with PayPay. The restaurant is located about a 3-4 minute walk southwest from Exit 8 of the Subway Tanimachi Yonchome Station. Inside, there are 4 counter seats, 1 table for 2, and 1 table for 6. We started with a toast of draft beer, followed by a refreshing apple shochu sour. For food, we enjoyed the delicious steamed dumplings with a unique Japanese flavor. We then tried a local sake from Machida Sake Brewery, paired with a tasty venison tartare with egg yolk. The combination of flavors was excellent. We continued with Gin no Mizu, a cocktail with lime and soda, and Yama Hara Kui, a neat whiskey. We also ordered a mixed smoked nuts plate as a snack, which was crunchy and flavorful. Lastly, we ended our meal with delicious pork bone soup noodles. The broth was rich with bonito flavor, and the noodles were satisfying. Overall, it was a great dining experience and I look forward to returning. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
