This is a so-called izakaya located on the first floor along Hiragishi Street. The master used to be a sushi chef and greets guests warmly. There is a large counter on the left side where the master prepares dishes, and on the right side, there are raised seating areas with 4-5 tables. The daily specials and weekly dishes are displayed on the counter along with a wide variety of regular menu items. The freshness of the ingredients is outstanding, thanks to the master's keen eye for quality. I usually order the hamo tempura (or seasonal mountain vegetables when available), along with my favorite sushi and, if they have it, simmered fish. The simmered fish has that special flavor you can only find in a port town - rich, slightly sweet, and delicious. The sushi is made to order, with options like red tuna, salmon, soy, and flounder that are all delicious, and the rice is expertly prepared unlike typical izakayas. The seared salmon, in particular, has a great balance of fatty richness and sweetness that kids will love. The rolled omelette is also really good! The master is friendly and approachable, but still works efficiently without slowing down. I believe this place has the capability to attract more customers even if they expand further into the center. It's a great restaurant.

I made a reservation based on my wife's information that you can't enter without one. There are three seats at the counter and a small raised seating area. There is a TV at the end of the counter. The dishes are made with the master's skillful movements. As expected, the food was delicious! Especially the sushi was cheap and authentic! The rolled omelette was also delicious! The master seems to have worked at a sushi restaurant before. The fried food was also good. Everything was delicious! There was also an all-you-can-drink option, so I want to come back and relax next time.

This is a delicious restaurant. The ingredients are fresh and carefully selected. The chefs seem to be skilled and well-trained. As it is a Japanese restaurant, you can have conversations with the chefs about the ingredients, and they are happy to share information. The dishes are delicate and allow you to fully enjoy the flavors of the ingredients. The restaurant seems to be popular for group gatherings, as there were always large parties dining there. If you prefer a quieter experience, it is recommended to visit after 9 pm when the group parties have finished.

I often visit this place when on business trips to Sapporo. It's a bit far from the city center, but I think it's worth taking a taxi to get there. The chef's skillful cooking can be enjoyed just by watching from the counter. And it's delicious. Plus, it's cheap. I always wish they would expand to Tokyo. The menu is also extensive, so you can try a variety of dishes. But the fish is the most delicious. It feels like a sushi restaurant. I haven't been there recently because I haven't had many business trips to Sapporo, but I will definitely go back when I visit Sapporo again.
