Today, I decided to eat curry with naan and chose this restaurant. I arrived at the store around 11:20 am. There were no other customers, and the staff in the dining area were Japanese. I had assumed they were Indian or Pakistani, but I was mistaken. I chose the chicken curry set from the weekday lunch menu. It cost ¥900 including tax. Since I felt a bit thirsty from rushing on my bike, I decided to add lassi. It was a lunchtime special for ¥110. I asked for the curry to be medium spicy (level 3). The menu had some information, but it was a bit confusing. The naan could be refilled once, but it was not clear if you could order a large portion, and there was no explanation. I also noticed they had self-service hot coffee when I was leaving, which they should have mentioned. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes, all on one plate. The naan seemed small, and I realized there was rice too. I preferred more naan than rice, but the staff didn't explain that they had given half naan and rice. The lack of explanation was frustrating. As I started eating, I noticed the naan was a bit burnt and lacked flavor. The curry was not very spicy even though I asked for medium. I should have gone for the spicy option. The taste was somewhat bland, lacking in spiciness. I finished the half naan quickly and started on the rice. Before finishing the rice, I ordered another naan. It arrived hot and took a while to cool down. It was also burnt and lacked flavor. Overall, I felt the food was lacking in spiciness compared to other similar restaurants I have been to. I'm not sure if it's because there were no Indian or Pakistani staff, or if the restaurant is Japanese-owned. I added a regular naan, and although I was full, I didn't get the spiciness I was looking for. I felt like I needed to come back soon for a better experience as I rode my bike uphill on the way back.

I stopped by after a live show. It was around 9:00 PM on a weekday and thankfully it was still open late. I was really hungry so I ordered a set meal. I can't remember the name though, haha. The rice was Japanese rice so I think it would be even more delicious with jasmine rice. There are clear sheets hanging in the restaurant. I also got a complimentary iced Assam tea, which was much appreciated! It would be great if they accepted payment other than cash.

Vegetable soup curry with spiciness level 5, served piping hot!! The tomatoes were great. Ginger was shredded, which was good for my health as it acts like herbal medicine and is easily absorbed by the body. I was surprised to find four quail eggs, but the mushrooms were the main ingredient. The salted steamed sweet potatoes were delicious. Towards the end, there was a refreshing hint of lemongrass, which was satisfying. As a bonus, I received a complimentary drink! Maybe they mistook me for an Indian actress? (Just kidding...) The iced tea served was slightly bitter, more suitable for chai. It was delicious. Naan is not included in the set, but it's definitely worth adding on. I wish they had more options for the curry in the set menu. I would love to try the potato naan, but it's a bit pricey. Overall, the service and taste were excellent. Highly recommended! Thank you for the meal!

This is a curry restaurant located a 5-minute walk from the Kotonishi subway station. I ordered the chicken curry and a separate order of naan. The curry, made with lots of spices, had a deep flavor, quite different from the usual home-cooked roux curry. I was able to enjoy the unique taste of a specialty store. The staff who brought the meal to me said, "This is a service," and included oolong tea. I felt happy about the small gesture from the restaurant. (The oolong tea came with syrup sugar, is this a common way to drink it in foreign countries?)

I went to the Mohan Dish Kotoni store in Sapporo. I ordered the Chicken Curry Set and the Chicken Keema Spinach Set. The Chicken Curry Set comes with Chicken Curry, Dal Curry, Half Naan, Half Rice, Babara, Alchat, Daily Indian Curry, and Salad. You can enjoy both Naan and Rice, which is nice. I chose the medium spiciness level, which is level 2 out of 100. The Indian curry has a unique blend of spices and herbs, but it is not too overwhelming. From 5 pm to 7 pm, you can enjoy any drink (including alcohol) for only 100 yen. Payment is cash only.

【Completely Smoke-Free】A new Indian curry restaurant has opened in the Kotoni area ^^ Located in Kita 24-jo, this is a branch of Mohandish. Except for the weekday lunch set, naan or rice is not included in the menu and must be ordered separately. The restaurant is located along Route 276 (Kotoni Sakae-dori), just a short walk from the intersection of Nijuyonken Teine-dori towards the Yamate direction! It's right across the street from Kotoni Station on the Tozai Line, Exit 1! Visited again at 7:30 pm on March 5, 2022. Mohandish's soup curry, second dish of the day (laughs). Since I had some time, I went back home and then went out again. There were 4 groups of customers before me and 1 group after me. I sat at the counter and ordered Mutton Soup Curry for 1000 yen, spiciness level 100 for an additional 200 yen, Cheese Naan for 540 yen, and Hot Chai for 300 yen. First, I had the Hot Chai, which was served hot without sugar, so let's warm up the body. Now for the main dish, the Cheese Naan had a crispy surface and a gooey interior. The soup curry had the same ingredients as the other branch, but the spiciness was milder compared to the Nishimachi branch. There seemed to be more Kahori spices here. The mutton was chunky and provided a satisfying bite. The staff also brought me pickled chili peppers for extra spiciness, in both red and blue varieties. I added all of them without hesitation. The pickles not only added spiciness but also increased the acidity, which was fine by me. With the spiciness level at the restaurant's maximum of 100, it was quite spicy for me. After adding all the pickles, it became very spicy. As I thought during the day, increasing the spiciness of the soup curry here goes well with the Cheese Naan. I haven't eaten at the main branch for about 2-3 years, and I also want to visit the newly opened Teine branch soon. Now that I am satisfied, it's time to head back home.

Today, I felt like having Indian curry for lunch, so I came to Mohan Dish Kotoni branch. As soon as I stepped inside, the strong aroma of spices hit me. The interior is more spacious and calm than I had imagined. Although they also serve soup curry, I wanted to try their naan and curry, so I ordered the Lamb Curry Set (2 spiciness levels) from the Indian Curry Set menu. It came with Dal Curry, Lamb Curry, Indian-style salad, yogurt, papad, and naan. The lamb curry had a slightly sour taste, different from what I had expected. Personally, I prefer when the lamb flavor stands out more. I always pour both curries over my rice, as I was taught by an Indian colleague in my youth. This way, the taste varies slightly each time, making it more enjoyable.

I was planning to go to a certain restaurant for soup curry, but it turned out to be closed on their regular holiday. The next option and the one after that were also closed. However, I was really in the mood for soup curry and wanted to try a new place. I didn't feel like traveling far, so I decided to visit this place instead. They only serve soup curry as a single item, even though they offer a good deal on Indian curry sets during lunchtime. I ordered the lamb soup curry for 1,000 yen and added half a portion of rice for 110 yen. I chose the spice level 15. The soup was light and had a decent level of spiciness that lingered without being overwhelming. My pores didn't react to it. I played it safe with the spice level, but I think I could have gone higher. The shredded ginger on top was a nice touch. The curry had pieces of eggplant, bell pepper, green beans, daikon radish, carrot, and something crunchy that seemed like potatoes. There were also finely chopped vegetables in the curry. The lamb was tender and had a good flavor. Even though I ordered a half portion of rice, it was still a generous amount. The rice soaked up the soup nicely and had a good texture. This place might be a good choice if you're in the mood for a light and flavorful meal.

Recently, I have been going to the Kotoni branch of the 24-Jo instead of the main store. This time, I tried the seafood spinach curry instead of my usual lamb tomato curry. Before going for curry, I had quite a bit of tandoori dishes like shish kebabs, and finished a bottle of wine, but I was still able to eat the curry easily (lol). Even though I usually go for level 4 spiciness, it wasn't that spicy, so I'll try level 5 next time. I usually eat chicken or lamb curry, but the seafood curry was also delicious.

Located near Kotoni Station in Kotoni area, this Indian restaurant offers a variety of dishes for lunch. The interior is calm despite the flashy exterior, with many table seats. The staff, mostly from India, can take orders in Japanese. The lunchtime rush was evident as many customers were dining in or taking out. I ordered the "Two Curry Set with Tandoori Chicken, Shrimp, and Kebab (2,100 yen)" at spice level 4. The set included chicken curry, vegetable curry, tandoori chicken, tandoori shrimp, kebab, Indian salad, yogurt, papad, basmati rice, and naan. The dishes arrived in about 15 minutes, with generous portions. The chicken curry had a balanced blend of spiciness and flavor, while the vegetable curry had a unique texture. The freshly baked naan was soft and delicious, complementing the curries well. The tandoori chicken and shrimp were tasty, though a bit messy to eat. Overall, the quality of the food was high, making it a recommended choice for Indian cuisine lovers.

"Mohandish Kotoni Branch" I was walking around the Kotoni area on this day. There are many shops in this area, and the main street is crowded with people. For lunch, I decided to explore the area and find something to eat. There are quite a few dining options, but surprisingly few places open for lunch. I came across a familiar curry restaurant sign and decided to have lunch there since they had a great lunch menu deal on weekends. This is a popular Indian curry restaurant with three branches in Sapporo. I usually go to the main branch on Kita 24-jo, but this was my first time at this branch. The menu offers individual items as well as set menus, which is great even on weekends. I was craving lamb curry, so I decided to go for the set that came with chicken tikka. I ordered the "Lamb & Dal Curry + Chicken Tikka Set @ 1,300 yen." I chose level 4 spiciness (medium-hot), but it turned out to be quite mild. The lamb curry was rich and flavorful, with tender lamb meat, but the dal curry was a bit too light for my taste. The chicken tikka and naan were not served piping hot, which made me think they were pre-made. The flavors were decent, but I wished they were served hot and fresh. This branch is a support branch of Mohandish, but the taste seemed slightly different from the main branch. The main branch on Kita 24-jo offers complimentary hot chai and the flavors are a bit better. Overall, the experience was okay, but I think I prefer the main branch for a better dining experience at Mohandish. Thank you for the meal.

The first meal of 2020 was at Mohandish in Kotoni. It was bustling with visitors going to and from the Kotoni Shrine for their first shrine visit of the year. I ordered the Keema curry with spinach and butter shrimp curry, along with naan, rice, chicken tikka, yogurt, and salad set. It was a generous portion for 1,750 yen. The naan was delicious with a hint of sweetness that paired well with the curry. I think I'll try the chicken biryani next time!

I was planning to go to a curry restaurant in the Nishi Ward, but it was closed (T^T) I was in the mood for curry, so I searched for another restaurant in Nishi Ward that I haven't visited yet. Even though it's an Indian-Nepalese restaurant, reviewers said that their curry is delicious, so I decided to go there. There is no parking lot, so I parked at the AEON parking lot again since I wanted to do some shopping, and walked for about a minute. I decided to order the lamb curry for 1000 yen with a spice level of 19 out of 20. The curry was different from the typical Japanese soup curry, as it was not as thick and had fewer vegetables. The curry had thinly sliced daikon, a whole boiled egg, green beans, carrots, cauliflower, eggplant, bell peppers, and some colorful crunchy topping. The curry was flavorful with a hint of ginger, and the lamb was tender. Even though there was no rice, they served pickles which were very sour. Overall, the curry was delicious and had a good balance of flavors. I regretted not ordering naan to go with it. I usually prefer spicier and more liquidy curries, but this curry was surprisingly tasty. I would like to explore more dishes at this Nepalese restaurant in the future.

Located just a one-minute walk from Kotoni Station on the Tozai Subway Line, this restaurant serves Indian cuisine. Part of the Mohandish group, which has several locations in Sapporo, this particular restaurant offers authentic North Indian thalis. The thali includes Basmati rice, vegetable subji, and papad for a truly delicious experience when mixed together. The regular curries are also top-notch, with the same quality as Mohandish's other locations. The naan bread is particularly delicious as well.

The naan is big. It's a typical Indian curry, but not easy to find around Konoe, so it's convenient when you want to eat naan. It's a shame that the staff smokes cigarettes in the back, so the restaurant smells like smoke.
