I can't believe there's such a great yakiniku restaurant in a place like this! So, while this is a secret, I'm going to introduce you to an extraordinary yakiniku restaurant that you'd usually never find. Here's what I tried: Kyujou Negi-wrapped Tongue, Upper Kalbi, Special Harami, Haneshita, Ume Shio Hormone, Souseki Cold Noodles, TKG (Tamago Kake Gohan), and fresh Kimchi. The video contains most of the details, but I'll highlight some of the standouts: - **Kyujou Negi-wrapped Tongue**: Thickly sliced beef tongue that’s super fresh, filled with plenty of flavor-packed green onions drizzled with sesame oil. The texture is incredible, and it's absolutely delicious. If you go, you must try this recommended menu item! - **Special Harami**: It’s so tender that you might think you don't even need your teeth! When you bite into it, the concentrated meat juices burst into your mouth, releasing an amazing flavor. - **Ume Shio Hormone**: I wondered what a tart and salty hormone could be like, but after grilling and adding a generous amount of sweet plum, the refreshing sweet-sour plum flavor pairs perfectly with the rich fatty meat. I went on a food exploration trip to Shinsaibashi! My friend discovered a hidden gem of a yakiniku restaurant and wanted to take me there. It’s located near Amemura in Shinsaibashi, and the interior has a stylish vibe. When we arrived, we were informed that there were reservations starting from 6 PM, so we only had about an hour for our meal. I thought, "Come on, friend, couldn’t you check this beforehand?" but my friend seemed confused too. We decided to quickly eat and then head to another place. For reference: - Tabelog rating: 3.12 (17 reviews as of 2024/11/22) - Arrived at the restaurant: 5:02 PM - Entered the restaurant (reserved): No previous customers - Order placed: 5:04 PM - First dish arrived: 5:09 PM - Exited: 5:42 PM The restaurant allowed smoking, and we enjoyed some quick yakiniku in a quietly sophisticated atmosphere. However, the pressure of needing to leave soon overshadowed the experience, so I can hardly remember the taste… except for the egg soup, which was bland and not good. Overall, I also felt that the prices were quite high.

I visited a stylish counter-only restaurant located in Amemura, drawn in by their Kujo Negi beef tongue. The restaurant only has a counter seating. I ordered salt tongue, Kujo Negi beef tongue, harami, and grilled shabu-shabu. The beef tongue was tender and delicious. The Kujo Negi beef tongue had a great texture combined with the green onions, so I ordered it twice. The grilled shabu-shabu served large slices of meat, providing a satisfying meal. The prices were reasonable even after drinking, which was another plus.

This is a super hidden barbecue restaurant in Shinsaibashi! You really can't find it unless you know where it is! It's located around Amemura, in a building on the second floor, and as soon as you go up to the second floor, you enter a stylish space! If you actually go there, you'll understand what I'm talking about! (laughs) Inside the restaurant, there's only a counter, and everything is pitch black! Here’s what I ordered: Kujo green onion wrapped beef tongue, thick-cut beef tongue, premium harami, top-quality short ribs, plum hormone, liver, fresh kimchi, and sudachi cold noodles. Every piece of meat was delicious! I particularly loved the beef tongue! The green onion-wrapped tongue was easy to eat, and the thick-cut tongue was so tender. This place has a hidden gem vibe, and the atmosphere is great for dates too! You all should save this and check it out!

This is a hidden gem in Amemura that you might not find unless you know about it. When you go up to the second floor, you’ll find the restaurant connected to another building, giving it a secretive feel. Inside, there are counter seats with a wide selection of drinks! I was recommended the specialty harami, and it was exactly to my taste! If you love harami, you can't miss this place. They also have a unique dish called ume-shio horomono, which was delicious! The horomono marinated in ume-shio sauce, topped with Nankou plum, offered a very fresh and tasty experience!

It seems that this place originally focused on teppanyaki, but it has now turned into a yakiniku restaurant. The interior is beautiful, and the staff's service is great. It's the perfect atmosphere for both dates and business meetings. My top recommendation is the harami, which I really love, but you definitely should try the ume shiso maruchou as well. It's light and delicious!!! For those who love plum flavors, it will be irresistible. I enjoyed my meal very much and will definitely go back again.

It's on the second floor of a building that you'd likely pass by without noticing, nestled among the clothing shops in Amemura, living up to its name as a hidden gem. After placing your order, they hand-cut the meat right in front of you. The top rib and top belly are so tender, and since they come from high-quality beef, the unsaturated fatty acids melt quickly in your mouth, giving a rich, smooth feeling. The meat on the plate seems to shout, "I’m delicious!" with its glistening appearance. The staff recommended various dishes as well, including tongue wrapped in Kujo green onion, ume-shio offal, and crunchy fresh kimchi, all of which were delicious. To top it off, we had grilled shabu-shabu and special harami on rice!

One of their recommendations is the limited edition "Special Skirt Steak" for 2,180 yen, which is tender and sweet—absolutely delicious! They also have unique options like the hormone cuts "Torotechchan" and "Maruchou," seasoned with plum salt and served with plums so you can add them according to your taste after grilling. The "Plum Salt Torotechchan" is 1,080 yen. The "White Cabbage Kimchi" uses fresh, unfermented kimchi, so there's no unpleasant odor or sourness—it's really tasty, priced at 780 yen. The "Grilled Shabu" features large pieces of meat that are very satisfying at 1,380 yen. We visited the restaurant for the first time with four people at a table. The atmosphere felt like a casual izakaya, and I thought the taste was average. There wasn’t anything particularly good, and although they recommended some dishes, they felt a bit heavy. The dessert did not suit my taste, and I would like to see more effort put into that.

As I approached the restaurant on the second floor of a bustling building in Shinsaibashi, I was welcomed by a chic and calm hidden gem. The subtle saltiness of the prosciutto, combined with the acidity of strawberries and the creaminess of the cheese, created a perfect harmony. For the main dish, I had black Wagyu steak from the sirloin and misuji cuts. It was incredibly tender and juicy, bursting with flavor as soon as I took a bite—absolutely delicious! The grilled vegetables served alongside were seasonal and changed daily. To finish, there was garlic rice made on the teppan grill, which could also be enjoyed as a tea rice dish with the provided bonito broth. I recently visited a newly opened teppanyaki restaurant called "Teppanyaki Sōseki" located in the trendy Amerikamura area. Even though it's close to the station, the place has a hidden gem vibe. What makes it unique is that the course names are inspired by the titles of works by Natsume Sōseki. This time, I tried the "Sanshirō Course." The Sanshirō Course costs 5,000 yen and offers a generous serving of wagyu steak, making it quite a good value. The course includes: - Ham with seasonal fruits and cream cheese - Shrimp salad - Today's grilled vegetables - Domestic wagyu steak - Garlic rice - Dashi (broth) - Dessert It begins with an introduction of the block of wagyu and the vegetables that will be used that day. Eating the sweet strawberries wrapped in salty ham and the almost entirely shrimp salad builds anticipation for the main event: the wagyu steak grilled alongside the vegetables right in front of you, depending on where you sit, which adds a fantastic live cooking atmosphere. As the steak sizzles on the grill, the pink cross-section visible when cut is incredibly appetizing. There are options like onion ponzu, salt, and mustard available, but I recommend trying it simply with salt first to fully appreciate the meat's rich flavor. To finish, the garlic rice is prepared on the grill. It's delicious on its own, but it truly shines when you pour the accompanying dashi over it, transforming it into a comforting dashi chazuke (rice with broth). The umami of the bonito in the dashi softens the strong flavor of the garlic rice, creating a delightful taste. The restaurant's name and course names are inspired by Natsume Soseki, and I thought it was funny that the grilled vegetable, the carrot, resembles a cat because of that! With an open kitchen, they cut the meat right in front of you and grill it alongside seasonal vegetables. The fat was sweet, and the meat was tender and truly delicious.
