I came to Kyoto for a certain errand and finally visited a café that I had been curious about after finding it online! The pancakes here weren't too sweet, but they were fluffy and delicious. Even better was the sausage that came with it; it was thick, meaty, and really tasty.

I visited around 3 PM on a holiday and was lucky to be seated at the window-side sofa. However, the place was quite empty despite it being a holiday peak time. I wondered why, and it might be due to the poor attitude of the staff. When I asked for water, I was told, "The water is self-service," without the staff turning to face me or making eye contact, and they came off as quite bothered. When my order was served, they seemed to find it cumbersome as well. I ordered pancakes and iced coffee; the coffee was pretty good, but the pancakes were just average. That service was disappointing.

I had the limited edition hojicha pancakes from the Kyoto store. The hojicha flavor made them light and not too sweet, making them easy to eat. I recommend them for those who find overly sweet foods a bit difficult to enjoy. The white chocolate crunch added a nice touch and was delicious! However, when you add the price of the pancakes (two pieces) and the drink, it comes to about 2080 yen (1480 yen + 600 yen), so although they were tasty, I didn't feel it was worth the slightly high price, which is why I gave it three stars.

I went in for a little break to have some tea, but I was surprised to find it was a pancake shop! Since I was there, I ordered three cheese-filled pancakes, and they were so fluffy that I finished them in no time! The café latte I ordered alongside it was also very delicious. I was glad I could get in easily, but by the time I left, there was a long line, showing how popular this pancake place is!

I went to try the Egg & Meat Pancake with a giant sausage option. I was in search of fluffy pancakes, and while many places serve pancakes piled high with cream, these were just the right size. The batter was fluffy with a subtle sweetness. The salad drizzled with dressing paired perfectly with the sausage, creating a nice balance of flavors.

There's a popular pancake café just a short walk from Hankyu Kyoto Kawaramachi Station, originally famous in Okinawa. It's great that they open at 8:30 am, so you can enjoy pancakes for breakfast. It takes some time to serve after you order since the pancakes are made fresh to order. The seats by the window allow you to enjoy your meal while looking out over the Takase River. - Egg & Meat Pancakes (4 pieces) ¥1,880 - Vanilla Ice Cream ¥250 I was expecting the pancakes to be fluffy, but the batter was quite firm. I thought they could have had a bit more sweetness or flavor; they felt more like a meal than a dessert. However, they paired perfectly with the sweet ice cream. The service from the staff was excellent.

I visited a pancake shop near Kawaramachi Station in Kyoto. The pancakes were thick, soft, and had a flavor that was not too sweet, making them easy to eat. They came with a salted caramel sauce, ice cream, and whipped cream, which I enjoyed adding to the pancakes. It seems that this popular pancake shop from Okinawa has opened its first location in the Kansai region, and I’m glad I could visit!

The pancakes looked really cute! There were savory options available, and I loved being able to choose my favorite combinations. I could also select the number of pancakes, so I didn't feel short-changed while eating. The drinks offered a wide variety, from alcohol to latte art, making it really enjoyable. The restaurant is bright and filled with light, great for taking photos. It's just a stone's throw from Kawaramachi Station, and being not too crowded allowed me to relax and enjoy my time. Overall, it was a great experience!

During my visit for breakfast, almost all the customers were foreigners. The pancakes were fluffy, not overly sweet, and had a rich matcha flavor that I enjoyed. You can choose the number of pancakes you want, and I went for two, but I think three would have been nice as well. I chose a sofa seat, which allowed me to eat comfortably. There was a cherry blossom tree right in front of me, and I would love to come back during the cherry blossom season.

I visited a famous pancake shop from Okinawa that opened in Kyoto and ordered the following: - Mihama Pancakes (2 pieces). Since the Yuzu-Infused Matcha Cream Pancake I wanted to try was sold out, I added matcha cream to the Mihama Pancakes. The pancake batter has a moderate sweetness, and when you take a bite, the light saltiness of the butter comes through first. The accompanying maple syrup, when savored, has a faint bitterness and is not overly sweet. I think it is quality syrup. The whipped cream served with the pancakes is gently sweet and has a nice richness. Alternating between the slightly bitter matcha cream and the whipped cream highlights the deliciousness of the pancakes. The pancake batter is fluffy and has just the right softness and texture. You can enjoy the deliciousness of the pancakes simply with butter and syrup or by pairing them with cream. - Ginger Latte (Hot). It blends several types of spices, and a pleasant spiciness spreads across the palate. In my opinion, it leans toward the sweeter side. Since the pancakes are sweet, I think a refreshing drink would pair better. Given the heat, opting for a hot ginger latte made me feel even warmer, so I felt I chose poorly (laughs). However, it seems like it would be great for warming up in winter. The frothed milk creates a drink with a light and smooth texture. Inside the shop, there are various seating options including window-side sofas, high tables, and regular tables, creating a spacious and relaxing atmosphere. However, the pancakes are on the smaller side. Even for women, two pieces might not be enough. By the time I visited at 1:30 PM, most of the dessert pancakes were sold out, so it might be a good idea to go early.

I arrived right when the restaurant opened. As soon as I got off the elevator, I was inside the restaurant. The staff member who served me was cheerful and energetic with a big smile. It took about 12 or 13 minutes for my order to be ready. They brought my drink first. The bacon and pancakes (with delicious maple syrup) were incredibly tasty. It was a bit of a luxurious breakfast. About 30 minutes after opening, all the other customers in the restaurant, besides me, were from overseas.

I consulted about my friend's birthday, and for 330 yen, they made a painting with fireworks and a message. The interior of the restaurant is bright and has a white theme, with plenty of space. It's located in the city center, so it's very convenient. The fluffy pancakes are a small size and reasonably priced.

I went because I was craving pancakes. I could choose my toppings, so I easily opted for both sweet and savory options (ice cream and sausage). The drink was also selectable from everything, and the set cost 1,650 yen, which was reasonable. There were many overseas visitors in the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and attentive, always with a smile!

I wanted to eat pancakes for the first time in a while, so I made a reservation at a restaurant. I've been to almost all the pancake places in Osaka and haven't found many new ones, plus I wanted to go to the Gion Festival, so I decided on Kyoto. Even though I had a reservation, I was disappointed by the cramped seating. Despite having staff around, the food was served quite slowly. Fortunately, they were holding a chocolate mint fair, so both the drink and pancakes were chocolate mint flavored. We also ordered a savory pancake to share. Both were delicious! It was my first time trying a chocolate mint shake, and I liked the chocolate around the rim of the glass. It was also a first for me to have chocolate chips mixed into the pancake batter, which was really tasty. The restaurant was surprisingly busy with foreign customers. It seems to be a new place, and the interior was clean. I opted for a drink set, but they didn’t apply the discount at first, so when I mentioned it at checkout, they said they would adjust it at the register later. I might consider visiting again if I have the chance.

I visited a newly opened cafe near François Coffee Room. I tried the lemon pancakes of early summer and mango juice. The fluffy, freshly made pancakes were generously topped with lemon cream, making them deliciously addictive. The mango juice added to the experience, allowing me to enjoy a taste of the tropics.

"Must-Order Menu" - Limited to Kyoto! Yuzu Scented Matcha Pancakes A popular pancake shop from the American Village in Okinawa has opened in Kawaramachi this April! It was even ranked No. 1 in the breakfast options that U.S. military personnel want to eat the most. I was curious, so I decided to check it out. The clean and tidy interior is divided into a Western area adorned with beautiful artwork and a Japanese area. I chose a window-side seat in the Japanese area, with a view of a river, which felt very Kyoto-like. There were many options on the menu, and I was indecisive between sweet and savory dishes, but a cute staff member recommended the Kyoto limited "Yuzu Scented Matcha Pancakes," so I went for three pancakes! The fluffy pancakes took about 20 minutes to bake. They have a smooth texture, and the creamy matcha cream paired with the whipped fresh chocolate on top was so light that I easily finished all three pancakes! The yuzu jelly served on the side added a refreshing accent, and the overall flavor was not overly sweet, making it enjoyable to eat. My friend who accompanied me ordered a café latte and exclaimed how delicious it was! They use an espresso machine from the renowned Italian manufacturer, La Marzocco! They're also particular about their coffee beans. Once it gains recognition on social media, I'm sure it will get crowded fast! All the staff provided excellent service, and they even accompanied us to the elevator as we left. Thank you for the wonderful experience! If you found this helpful, please like & save it! Also, don't forget to follow!

The popular pancake cafe, Seaside Cafe Hamon, from Chatan, Okinawa, has opened its first location in Kansai, at Shijo Kawaramachi in Kyoto. Since it's located along the Takase River, which is famous for cherry blossoms, the cafe has been named "Sakura." The menu includes fluffy and crispy pancakes, scrambled eggs made with two eggs, a salad, and an option to choose between a giant crispy sausage or steak bacon, featuring the popular "Egg & Meat" dish from the Okinawa flagship store, along with exclusive menu items at the Kawaramachi location. There is a rich variety of pancakes and drinks available as well. I ordered: ■ Mihama Pancake (2 pcs for 920 yen) ■ Cappuccino (600 yen) The original basic pancake from Hanon has a subtle sweetness and spreads the aroma of buttermilk. It's great that you can choose the number of pancakes. Paired with vanilla ice cream and warm maple butter, I was able to enjoy them without getting bored until the last bite. Despite the thickness of the pancakes, they are light and fluffy; I could definitely have had another one! Since it seems not many people know about it yet, now might be the perfect time to visit.

A pancake cafe from Okinawa. It's located on the second floor, so it was a bit hard to find, but I easily went up using the elevator. When we visited, it had a Google review rating of 4.9! It seems to have just opened, as there were only three other groups besides us. What a lucky find! I tried the limited-time lemon pancakes. The batter was a perfect balance between fluffy and moist—not too light and not too heavy, just right for me. They were delicious. The iced Americano had just the right bitterness and was said to be an original blend that pairs perfectly with the pancakes. Thank you for the meal! Next time, I will definitely try the eggs Benedict.

In the American Village in Okinawa, I visited a popular pancake shop that has a branch in Kyoto. I chose the egg and meat sausage combo because I love sweet and savory combinations. It seems like you can also change the pancake batter, so I want to try that next time! I heard they have a strong focus on coffee, but this time I went for the banana juice, which was great. They also have a variety of teas that look delicious!

I found many positive reviews about the staff, but I was disappointed by the distrustful service I received. They brought me the wrong type of pancake. If I hadn't pointed it out, I would have been served a plain pancake despite paying an extra fee. When I did mention it, there was no apology for the mistake, and the staff member just placed the correct item in front of me without any warmth. In contrast, their attitude towards foreign tourists was noticeably more friendly (the tone of their voice was completely different), which felt off-putting. The food was delicious, but the service was truly disappointing.
