The hot spring facility located on a hill in Furudaira-cho is very beautiful. The bathing fee is 500 yen, and body soap and shampoo are provided. The bath is a reddish-brown color with a rust-like smell, and it feels warm and soothing. Unfortunately, the outdoor bath is closed, probably because it cannot be maintained well against the wind. The facility is closed during the winter season. After bathing, I decided to have some ice cream. I opened a large freezer box to make a purchase, but the temperature control was too good that the wooden spatula almost broke. Finally, I managed to scoop out some ice cream and it was delicious. In another freezer, I found a pack of cut-up cod roe for 650 yen from "Kaneto Suisan" in Furudaira-cho. I put the frozen cod roe on rice, microwaved it, and made delicious cod roe rice balls. The cod roe was tightly packed and very tasty.

2023/6 Bathtub Gar (๑´∀`) A hidden gem with a view of the Japan Sea, this hilltop hot spring offers natural spring water for just 550 yen on weekdays. Since it's a weekday, there were hardly any tourists, mostly just locals. The hot spring has a rich brown color and there is a half-open-air bath, although unfortunately you can't see the sea from there. I took my time with a relaxing half-body bath for about an hour. However, after getting out of the bath, I was disappointed to find that the dining area was closed or maybe even out of business. So, I bought a can of SORACHI1984 beer from the vending machine for 290 yen. It was a standard taste, but without a glass, it felt a bit lacking. Thank you for the meal (^ω^) ===========
