There is a lunch special offering an all-you-can-eat dim sum with 20 different types, along with a choice of either half Dan Dan noodles or half Takana fried rice. Even though it comes with rice when selecting the fried rice, I find it unnecessary since the dim sum is all-you-can-eat and I won't be able to finish it. I would also like to try the delicious Mapo tofu and sweet and sour pork. For drinks, I recommend Asahi's Jukusen. Thank you for the meal!

I heard that the Chinese cuisine at the restaurant chef's place, China Bal Hua SUN by Chef Kou, is excellent, so I decided to visit. I ordered Mapo Tofu, Shrimp Shumai, and Lettuce Fried Rice. The Mapo Tofu and Shumai were smaller than I expected, but they had a strong flavor. My favorite dish this time was definitely the Lettuce Fried Rice. The seasoning and texture were just right, and it was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Everything is delicious! The restaurant is located on the second floor of a building above Kintetsu Namba, and it can be a bit hard to find, but the wonderful flavors make it worth it. The squid is fluffy, the tempura has a smooth texture and rich flavor, and personally, my favorite is the spare ribs. The rich sauce combined with the refreshing taste of orange made it so good that I finished it in no time. I will definitely visit again!

Located behind the Shikairo restaurant, on the second floor of a stylish building, is the authentic Chinese bar, China Bal 華SUN匠. The chef, who has a background in hotel Chinese cuisine, maintains the fundamentals of traditional dishes. I ordered only two dishes, the mouth-watering chicken and crab lettuce fried rice, as it was my second stop of the night, but I look forward to trying a variety of dishes on my next visit.

The sauce-less tantanmen is rich and thick, with chewy noodles that are delicious! The cold noodles are refreshingly classic and tasty. The tantanmen has a decent spiciness, and since I ordered a large size, I was really satisfied! It’s all about simplicity; there’s nothing unnecessary in it, just pure deliciousness. I can’t get enough of that rich and thick flavor!

I heard that there's a non-spicy tan-tan noodles place in Namba, so I decided to check it out. When I arrived, it wasn't crowded, and I got seated smoothly. This time, I ordered the white sesame tan-tan noodles with a side of white rice. I was curious about how spicy it would be, and after trying it, I found it a bit spicy but not too much. Mixing the white sesame tan-tan noodles soup with the rice at the end was delicious. However, I regretted not ordering the tempura; I’ll make sure to order it next time. Also, the cold water they served was strangely sour, like lemon water.

At China Bal 華SUN, I had their sauce-less tantanmen. The sauce was mildly spicy and numbing, with a strong sesame flavor that was rich and thick. The slightly thick, firm noodles are specially made with ground Sichuan pepper, so they have a fragrant aroma that stands out against the sauce. It was delicious. The price is reasonable, with the standalone dish at 850 yen and a rice set for 1000 yen, making it a great value that's very popular right now. To be honest, the inside of the restaurant was a bit hot, so I'd appreciate it if they could increase the air conditioning.

I visited China Bal 華SUN and it was a stylish and lively place. They offered unique dishes like spicy simmered momiji, seafood marinated in pepper oil, and pepper-infused xiao long bao. The missaki beef tataki, which isn't commonly found around here, was also excellent. Additionally, the classic mapo tofu was served in a hot dish, bubbling with heat, which really raises your excitement.

I made a reservation around 7 PM on a weekday, but the table seats were all full! I realized it was a popular place, which heightened my expectations. I'm happy to say that it didn't disappoint; everything we ordered was delicious! Especially the shrimp shumai—the shrimp was so plump and tasty! ♡ Also, the mapo tofu had an authentic flavor. I can't help but laugh at my lack of vocabulary! 😂 The numbing spice from the Sichuan peppercorns was really prominent, which I loved since I'm a big fan of it! And the young waitresses were cute and really friendly. Even someone as old as me was thrilled, and we had a wonderful time throughout our visit! ☆

I went to this Chinese restaurant located in the back streets for lunch. You go up the stairs and enter from the left. Their recommended dishes are the mapo tofu and dan dan noodles. There are counter and table seats available, and the customers seemed to be mostly solo diners. This time, I had the authentic mapo tofu set meal. It seems that in the evening, you can order from the à la carte menu.

【"Drinkable Chinese Cuisine" by a Former Famous Hotel Chef】 Opens February 15, 2024. I had been checking for the opening and thought there wasn't any mapo tofu on the lunch menu, but upon re-searching, I found it was available, so I decided to visit for lunch! After looking at the dinner menu, I noticed it was quite reasonable and filled with items I like, so I want to check it out at night as well! You can follow my account here! ↓ @koufuku_gourme___2017
Now, how was today's mapo tofu? I had mapo tofu, rice, chicken wing dumplings, pickled vegetables, and coconut tapioca. I got a large serving of rice, with refills at an extra charge. The mapo tofu was well-seasoned with a rich, oily texture. One thing I noticed was that the rice is a blend of jasmine and white rice. The jasmine flavor wasn’t too strong, which I think suits Japanese tastes just right. When combined with the mapo tofu, it created a special synergy! I was impressed by how meticulously this was calculated in the dish! Amazing! I definitely want to visit at night next time!
P.S. I actually don’t like coconut tapioca, so I’m sorry I left it uneaten.

This is a "drinking Chinese bistro" where you can enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine created by a former chef from the Regal Royal Hotel at reasonable prices. They offer a wide variety of dishes such as mapo tofu, handmade dim sum, and squid with Hong Kong-style dipping sauce, as well as an extensive selection of small plates, making it easy for solo diners to feel comfortable.
For lunch, there are three options: white sesame dan dan noodles (850 yen), black sesame dan dan noodles (850 yen), and dry dan dan noodles (850 yen). The black sesame dan dan noodles use black sesame noodles, while the dry version features a sansho pepper noodle. The classic white sesame dan dan noodles have a rich, rounded broth infused with white sesame, offering just the right amount of spiciness for those who might be sensitive to heat. The meaty and flavorful minced meat and the texture of the nuts are excellent, and the noodles pair perfectly with the broth, making it irresistible to slurp down.

China Bal Kawaii SUN Takumi opened on February 15th! I discovered a Chinese bistro with great taste! Even though it's a bistro, the quality of the food is really high! The handmade dim sum is incredibly delicious, and what impressed me the most this time was the roasted beef from Misaki Gyu in Ishigaki Island‼️ I wanted to have more because it was so tasty. I can't wait to try more dishes prepared by the talented chef! It's great for a hearty meal or just a light snack. I'm thrilled to have such a high-quality, versatile restaurant available!

I went to Hua SUN Sho as a Plan B just as the lunch service was about to end, after finishing at Ten Ten Restaurant. It’s located on the second floor of the Shikairo building. I ordered some oolong tea, but the counter chairs were quite high, so they prepared a stool for me.
I had some appetizers, followed by the "Yodare Chicken." The sauce was quite delicious, and although the skin was missing, the meat was tender and moist. Then came the mapo tofu, which looked quite appetizing.
I also ordered shrimp fried rice, and I tried the mapo tofu on top of the fried rice. It looked fantastic. The shrimp was plump and tasty, and everything was just delicious. The combination of the mapo tofu and fried rice was fantastic as well. As I kept eating, the flavors of the shrimp and mapo tofu on the fried rice exploded in my mouth.
The price was just under 3000 yen, which seems a bit high for lunch, but it would be reasonable for dinner. The dishes used high-quality ingredients, which made the meal quite good. Maybe the nearby Ten Ten Restaurant offers too good of a lunch deal!

On July 7th, while heading south along Midosuji during lunch, I spotted a sign for dan dan noodles. I thought it would be perfect for lunch, so I turned onto the street and found the restaurant. At this point, I had no doubts. After taking a seat at the counter, an appetizer was served. The menu was accessible via a QR code, and when I looked for dan dan noodles, I couldn’t find them. I asked the chef across the counter, and he said they’re only available on weekdays. I mentioned that I saw the sign and was told there are two sides to it. He explained that people heading south see one side, while those coming from the north see the other. But isn't it odd that half of them would see that? I decided to regroup and ordered fried rice and mapo tofu instead. I reluctantly accepted the appetizer. Feeling a bit thirsty, I asked the waitress for some water, only to be told there’s a one-drink policy. Where is that mentioned? If that’s the case, they should include water (mineral water) on the menu. They only had sparkling water. If weekends have a bar-style setup starting at lunch, they should state that clearly too. On my way out, I checked the sign again, and there was no mention of the dan dan noodles being available only on weekdays. This restaurant seems to have issues beyond just the taste of the food.

You can enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine at an affordable price just seconds' walk from Namba, Osaka. The mapo tofu here was piping hot and incredibly delicious! The fried rice was also perfectly fluffy and really tasty! It was the best!!!

Everything was fresh and great at this place. The mapo tofu, in particular, was a unique experience with a rich flavor and a kick of spiciness that was not overwhelming but instead had a lingering warmth. My girlfriend took a photo of the first dish, but it was so delicious that we forgot to take pictures as each dish arrived and just dove right in (laughs). I want to go back, so please don’t flood the place!
