Established in 1881 (Meiji 14), this longstanding restaurant with a history of 141 years exudes a unique atmosphere. One could say it is a national treasure-class dining establishment. Such traditional restaurants are becoming increasingly rare these days, but this place is truly one of a kind. Upon entering, we were greeted by a kimono-clad waitress who led us to a private room. The private room was spacious, as always. This renowned restaurant is famous for its sukiyaki, but today we opted for the sirloin steak with butter. The waitress expertly cooked the sirloin and vegetables in butter, serving them to us at the perfect moment. Dipping the meat in grated radish and soy sauce, we savored every bite. It truly is a unique dining experience that can only be found here. Immerse yourself in the nostalgic atmosphere and enjoy the flavors of the past. This restaurant is truly a place of bliss, and words cannot do it justice. I highly recommend visiting and experiencing it for yourself.

Once upon a time, I visited this restaurant a few times when I was in my 20s for company dinners. I recently revisited after a long time, as it has become difficult to make reservations due to the influx of tourists from overseas. This time, I had the sukiyaki course. The appetizer was beef tataki with grated daikon radish. The beef was thick, tender, and incredibly delicious! It paired well with beer. The sukiyaki beef was thick, and the thin shirataki noodles (apparently from a new supplier) had a slightly sweet flavor that matched perfectly. The dish also included bite-sized grilled tofu, new onions, green onions, and shungiku (edible chrysanthemum leaves) - simple ingredients with bold flavors that don't get diluted easily. The seasoning was Kansai-style with white sugar and soy sauce, without using a dipping sauce. The waitress skillfully cooked everything at a good pace, and I was so engrossed in eating that I forgot to take photos. That's how delicious it was. The drink selection may be limited, but it's enough to enjoy the delicious meat. Oh, it was really delicious. Thank you for the meal. Luxury sukiyaki. Approximately 12,000 yen (including tax) allows you to eat three thick slices of meat compared to regular sukiyaki. The meat is cooked and seasoned with sugar, mirin, and soy sauce before eating. Vegetables are also cooked and eaten. This is repeated three times. All served by the proprietress. Surprisingly, I got quite full. Thank you for the meal! It's delicious but expensive! Dessert will be charged separately starting from 2023?

I heard from an acquaintance that the sukiyaki here is delicious, so it was my first visit. Nakai-san prepares everything, so it's very easy and the food is always delicious. The meat is slightly thick, satisfying to eat, and really delicious. I usually add extra meat, but the serving size of 150g per person was just right. I will definitely visit again.

I don't have many opportunities to dine in the Minami area, but this time I visited for a company year-end party. Winter is synonymous with sukiyaki, right? It seems like we ordered a course, and it left quite an impression with its generous portion. I didn't fully grasp the contents, and I even made the blunder of forgetting to take a photo of the main sukiyaki dish, so please forgive me for that. The service was excellent, from the hospitality to the farewell. The taste, service, and hospitality were all top-notch without a doubt. There are so many other things I want to say, but I got flustered by forgetting to take a photo and ended up rambling. I will definitely visit again if given the chance. It was delicious. It's been over 10 years since I first visited Kitamura. I have never eaten sukiyaki at another restaurant after eating here. The meat is mixed with sugar, oil, and soy sauce on a hot plate. I don't like it too sweet, so I always ask for less sugar. This time, it was a year-end party. The person sitting next to me agreed to have less sugar in their sukiyaki as well. I used to think it was nonsense to taste beef with sugar, but when I come here, I sometimes agree that this way of eating is good. I ended up getting a second helping of meat. Finally, I wanted to cook the leftover beaten eggs on the hot plate, but I couldn't do it because there were other people around. So, I made egg over rice with it. It was a very delicious way to end the meal. I am satisfied once again today.

This time, we enjoyed the butter-grilled dish for a business meeting. They always source the best meat available, and today we had fillet meat from Nagasaki prefecture. The luxurious meat is grilled on a hot plate with butter and served with grated daikon and special soy sauce. Good evening. I visited a top-notch sukiyaki restaurant in Kansai, called Kitamura. The atmosphere was elegant, with willow trees planted outside, giving a sense of stepping back in time. The establishment has been around for about 140 years, maintaining its traditional taste. The staff warmly welcomed us, and we were seated in a private room. We ordered the standard sukiyaki course, and started with thinly sliced beef with grated radish. The staff grilled the meat for us while we enjoyed drinks, making the experience even more enjoyable. The quality of the meat and rice was excellent, and even the rice grains were perfectly cooked. The attention to detail, such as the automatic opening and closing of the restroom door, added to the overall pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to visiting again.

I will do food terrorism. The sukiyaki restaurant in Minami is an old-fashioned place. The meat here is cut a little thicker than other places, giving it a great texture when you bite into it. The seasoning when grilling is straightforward. And it's also nice to eat it simply with just an egg! Finally, I poured the leftover egg over rice and made my own version of tamago kake gohan. If they served a few more appetizers besides sukiyaki, that would be great, but the sukiyaki is so delicious that it's not a problem at all.笑

This was my second visit. We made a reservation for three people, as they only operate one rotation due to COVID-19, so we booked for 6:00 PM. Last time we were on the second floor, so we were amazed by the charm of the first floor and its historical atmosphere that we didn't know about. The serene garden added to the calming ambiance. We were seated in the innermost tatami room and the meal began. That day, we had Nagasaki prefecture's thick 5mm black wagyu beef, marinated in a mixture of sugar, soy sauce, and mirin in equal parts. It was delicious! The taste was quite ordinary and something that could be done at home, so here the focus is more on the service and atmosphere. The quality of the meat and the texture were good, and it was delicious with the high-quality egg. The vegetable stir-fry with leeks, onions, tofu, and konnyaku was normal. The seasoning was simple and ordinary, but tasty. The Sukiyaki flavor was good, but the Kanto style might be more delicious. There are many places that pay attention to detail, so I wished for some accents like sugar or something. The vegetable stir-fry came around for a second rotation before returning to the meat. This cycle was delicious. And the Tsubaki rice from Yamagata was also delicious. I think Kita Mura is a Michelin-starred restaurant, and it is sure to be popular with foreigners.

I used to be able to smoke, but now it's a non-smoking establishment. Perfect for entertaining clients. You don't have to do anything other than eat! The private rooms and cozy atmosphere of the small courtyard are great! I chose the classic sukiyaki course. (I was also curious about the butter-fried option, but I was concerned about the calories so I passed on it this time). The staff cooked just the right amount of meat and vegetables for me in 2-3 servings, adjusting to my eating pace. It's a lovely restaurant! I was pleasantly surprised by the two eggs they provided. The meat, which was from Nagasaki today, was delicious and had a good amount of marbling. Personally, two slices of marbled meat is my limit, but it was satisfying and tasty. You can have unlimited refills of white rice. Dessert was not included, but the green tea ice cream I ordered separately was rich and delicious. Thank you for the meal!

On this day, I went to the renowned Sukiyaki restaurant Kita Mura in Osaka Shinsaibashi, which has one Michelin star. We were welcomed by the waitstaff and guided to a spacious private room. We ordered Sukiyaki and butter-grilled beef. The Sukiyaki meat was thick and tender, and the seasoning by the staff was just right, making it delicious. The butter-grilled beef, enjoyed with grated radish soy sauce, was also delicious from the aroma. I hope to have the same waitstaff when I revisit next time. Thank you very much.

After a visit that had been 1 year and 4 months in the making, today I tried a sukiyaki specialty restaurant called Warigashita, which has been awarded one Michelin star in the Michelin Guide Kyoto Osaka + Okayama 2021. They prepare their sukiyaki without using Warigashi, instead seasoning it with sugar, soy sauce, and mirin, and grilling it in the Kansai style. The roast beef, made with high-quality meat from Nagasaki, is cooked in a thick 6kg cast iron pot, resulting in incredibly tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat. To finish off the meal, they serve the ultimate tamagokake gohan, made with eggs that have absorbed the flavors of the meat and vegetables. It was incredibly delicious!

I don't often go out to eat sukiyaki, but I was in the mood for it this day so I came to a long-established sukiyaki restaurant in Shinsaibashi! As I was enjoying the appetizers, the waitress started grilling the meat for the sukiyaki, and soon the whole room was filled with the delicious aroma. One serving consisted of three slices of meat, each weighing 50g, which was quite a decent portion! The taste was excellent, the meat was tender and incredibly delicious. They only had bottled beer, no draft beer, and they sold shochu and plum wine by the glass. The total bill for two people was 25,000 yen, but it was worth it in my opinion. Thank you for the meal!

In Osaka, when it comes to sukiyaki, "Hariju" and "Sekiguchi" are famous, and this place "Kitamura" is also well-known. Finally, I was able to make a reservation here. The thickness is a bit thicker because it has never been frozen, so it is cut as thinly as possible by hand. The staff will cook it for you from start to finish. The seasoning is very simple with "sugar, mirin, soy sauce" only. It reminds me of the time when we used to make sukiyaki at home. Delicious ❤️ You can enjoy the true taste of the meat. The new onions are crunchy and delicious. The white leeks are cooked slowly. The meat has a good thickness, so there is more to eat than it looks. I was satisfied with one serving. This place is also famous for its "butter grilled dish," but I was too full to try it today... I made a reservation for next time and saved it for later. Thanks to the coronavirus scam, there were fewer foreigners, so I was able to get a table easily. I actually prefer shabu-shabu over sukiyaki, but it seems sukiyaki is their specialty, so I went with that. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

It was nice that there were fewer foreigners and we were able to enjoy authentic Kansai sukiyaki. Needless to say, it's Futako Tamagawa. It's not on the Denentoshi Line. The prices are Denentoshi Line prices though... I wish there were a few more options for alcohol. I will definitely come back!
