I went there after a long time. They have tables for 4 people and a spacious raised seating area. The menu has a lot of options! I was curious about the Hormone and Gatsumo, but I ended up ordering the boiled dumplings set meal. The portion size was amazing!! It might have been enough as a single item. The taste was, of course, delicious. The dumplings were chewy and satisfying for everyone. Both the staff and customers, except for me, were Chinese! Chinese was being spoken everywhere, and the atmosphere was full of Chinese charm. It seems to be a Chinese restaurant approved by Chinese people?! I think Japanese people will also be satisfied. It was delicious ♡ Thank you for the meal!

When it gets hot, the symptoms worsen, it is a designated rare disease by the government. Unfortunately, there is no medication that suits me yet. Likes and comments may be delayed, so thank you in advance. In this month's check-up, the possibility of readmission by the end of the year has increased. It seems like it will be after the COVID-19 situation settles down. [May 2020] "Chinese Cuisine Hanwari" is a local Chinese restaurant. The conversation between the owners is in Chinese, so it's hard to understand. (laughs) I visited for lunch with my usual companion. This restaurant is located in Sapporo's Kita Ward, on Nishi 5-chome, Tarukawa Street. For the exact location, please check on Tabelog. We visited around 1 pm on a weekend. The restaurant has three 4-person tables and a small raised area. As expected, there were few customers, with only 3 customers before us and none after us. We sat at an empty table, so there was no close contact. Looking at the menu, most set meals cost between 700-800 yen. Even the most expensive set meal is only 900 yen, so it's very reasonable. I ordered the "Shrimp Chili Set Meal for 900 yen" and my usual companion ordered the "Stir-fried Wood Ear Set Meal for 800 yen." After an 8-minute wait, our meals arrived. As always, my companion and I shared half of each dish. Shrimp Chili Set Meal: Large shrimp with a thick sauce, slightly spicy and well-flavored. Mini salad, egg soup, pickled vegetables, rice, tea. Price: 900 yen (tax included) Stir-fried Wood Ear Set Meal: A hearty dish of wood ear mushrooms, pork, and eggs, with a tasty seasoning. Mini salad, egg soup, pickled vegetables, rice, tea. Price: 800 yen (tax included) Both the Shrimp Chili Set Meal and Stir-fried Wood Ear Set Meal are generous and reasonably priced. The main dishes of shrimp chili and stir-fried wood ear are particularly satisfying. The rice is a bit lacking in flavor but comes in a large portion. It's a student-friendly set meal in the North University area. Originally would rate 4.0, but due to the rice, I'm giving it a 3.9. Next time, I might try the Ankake Yakisoba for 750 yen. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

☆LP☆ Visited for lunch on a weekday. The interior of the restaurant was somewhat dimly lit, and the staff, who seemed to be from China, provided service. While looking at the menu, I couldn't help but notice the staff chatting in Chinese with the chef in the kitchen. After deciding on our orders, LP chose the spring roll and fried rice set, while KG ordered the spicy stir-fried chicken set. Since there were only about two other groups of customers, our food was served promptly. The fried rice looked pale at first glance, and upon taking a bite, it was indeed as expected - bland. I felt the urge to sprinkle some pepper on it, but unfortunately, there were no condiments on the table. The rice itself had a strange taste, almost like it had been sitting for a while, so I apologize for leaving some behind. The spring rolls were freshly fried but also lacked flavor. Neither dish suited my taste. LP's stir-fried dish, despite being described as spicy with chili peppers, was almost devoid of any spiciness. The chicken was tender and easy to eat, but like the fried rice, the white rice had a strange taste that made it hard to enjoy. Hmm, there are various types of Chinese cuisine out there. I believe the dishes were prepared by authentic chefs, but I wish they would put in a bit more effort.

In the past, the one-coin lunch was popular for being affordable. The staff consisted only of people from the continent. The menu comments were somewhat strange. When I ordered the special set meal with zangi and gyoza, along with vegetable stir-fry for 750 yen, they subtly refused, saying it would take too long. In the end, I ended up ordering the regular vegetable stir-fry set meal for 630 yen as per the staff's suggestion. The prices are very reasonable. I was expecting a simple vegetable stir-fry, but it turned out to be a luxurious dish with various ingredients and a thick sauce, which was very delicious. The rice was almost like a rice bowl. The soup and zasai that come with this type of lunch can sometimes be disappointing, but the soup and zasai here were delicious. I had a great lunch with high cost performance. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I visited Kan Karin, located near the 18th station. The interior of the restaurant gives off a Chinese vibe, as it is run by Chinese owners. There are three 4-person tables and a few private rooms, making it quite spacious. There were 3 customers dining in and 2 customers waiting for takeout. The menu prices are quite affordable, with dishes ranging from 550 yen for mapo tofu set to just over 1000 yen for one dish. I ordered the stir-fried intestines and tofu set for 700 yen. The food came out quickly, within 5 minutes. The dish looked like mapo tofu, with intestines, carrots, onions, and garlic shoots. It also came with pickled vegetables, soup, salad, rice, and tea. The soup was thick and flavorful, while the salad was mainly made of radish. The stir-fried intestines and tofu were not very spicy, with a gentle sweetness from the intestines. It was a comforting home-cooked style dish, perfect with rice. The jasmine tea served at the end had a luxurious aroma and was delicious. The two customers waiting for takeout seemed to be Chinese, chatting with the staff in Chinese. It felt like a taste of everyday Chinese cuisine, and the prices were very reasonable. The restaurant was quiet during my visit in the evening, but I imagine it gets busy during lunchtime. With such affordable dishes, it seems like a good place for a casual meal or drinks.

This time I had tantanmen. Huh, the color is light. It has a taste, but it's different from Japanese tantanmen. I prefer the Japanese version. I think next time I'll go for something with dumplings. I wish they had hot and sour soup with noodles.

I visited a new Chinese restaurant and was surprised to see Mapo Tofu set meal for 550 yen. There were also Korean customers, so I had high expectations. However, the taste was more like home-cooked Japanese food... Maybe the only authentic dish was the Mapo Tofu. But overall, it was okay.

Good evening. Today, I had the special set meal #1 (Stir-fried pork and onions) at Hanhwa Lin, a Chinese restaurant well-known among Hokkaido University students. The set meal includes stir-fried pork and onions, zangi (deep-fried chicken), salad, soup, pickled vegetables, and tea for only 650 yen. The combination of pork, onions, carrots, leeks, and wood ear mushrooms in the sauce is delicious. The zangi is piping hot and the salad has just the right amount of dressing. The pickled vegetables are crunchy and refreshing. The soup is light and thick, easy on the stomach. The food is prepared by a Chinese chef, so you can enjoy authentic flavors. And the best part is, it's very affordable, making it student-friendly. It was a satisfying meal.

I came to this restaurant because I was interested in their Ankake Yakisoba. Looking at the menu, they offer a variety of set meals. There are 27 different set meals available, with the cheapest being Mapo Tofu for 550 yen and the most expensive being Shrimp Chili for 850 yen. Ramen is priced at 700 yen for soy sauce and salt flavors, and 730 yen for miso flavor. The Ankake Yakisoba I ordered today was 700 yen. It contained pork, shrimp, baby corn, Chinese cabbage, carrots, wood ear mushrooms, and garlic sprouts. The flavor was salty with a strong garlic taste, and the consistency of the sauce was light. The balance of saltiness was good and delicious. A spoon is provided, but it may not be necessary due to the light consistency of the sauce. The noodles were medium thick and well stir-fried. It may be difficult to visit as there seems to be no parking available. (29.12) 3.6

I had planned to visit a small Italian restaurant in the neighborhood, but unfortunately it was booked for a private event. Feeling a bit disappointed, I decided to visit this place that I had been keeping in mind for a while. I parked at the nearest coin parking lot as there was no parking available. The restaurant had a mix of table seating and raised seating areas. There was no background music playing. I decided to try the special set meal called "Stir-Fried Dried Tofu with Meat" that caught my attention, which I had never tried before. It cost 700 yen. I was also intrigued by the variety of offal dishes on the menu. The food took quite a while to arrive, but when it did, I found the dried tofu to have a unique texture, similar to thinly sliced yuba. It was stir-fried with green beans, onions, carrots, wood ear mushrooms, pork, and sesame oil. The flavor was adjusted to suit Japanese taste, with hints of garlic adding a delicious touch. The salad consisted of daikon and cabbage, with pickled blue radish on the side. The meal also included a generous portion of rice and a thick Chinese-style soup. I ended the meal with a refreshing cup of Oolong tea. If I have the chance, I would like to try the offal dishes next time. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I came to this restaurant for lunch as it is located very close by and I often pass by it. I have been curious about the 500 yen mapo tofu set meal every time I walk past the store. However, I never actually visited until today. So, I finally made up my mind to visit the store for the first time. The location is easy to find as it faces a major street near Hokudai. The interior of the restaurant has three 4-person tables on the left side from the entrance, and on the right side, there is a raised area that extends towards the back, making it significantly more spacious than the table side. I sat at a table and read manga provided by the restaurant while waiting. I ordered the mapo tofu set meal (500 yen), and the food was served quickly, almost without any waiting. At first glance, the portion size seemed promising. The rice was packed tightly in a large bowl, giving the impression of a substantial amount. In addition to the main dish, the set meal also included pickled vegetables, Chinese soup, and a salad. As for the mapo tofu itself, it was okay. In terms of spiciness, it was not very strong, even for someone like me who doesn't handle spicy food well. There was a slight spiciness that came later on. Hmm, this might be a bit lacking as mapo tofu... The tofu in the mapo tofu was firm tofu, which personally doesn't quite match my preference. However, considering the price is only 500 yen, it might be forgivable. It is cheap and comes in a satisfying portion size. I recommend trying the 500 yen mapo tofu set meal.

This is a Chinese restaurant located along Kitaodori Street, just a short walk south from Kita18 Station. They offer set meals starting from 500 yen, so I couldn't resist trying it out. The restaurant was popular among students and had a large banquet hall at the back. I ordered the mapo tofu set for 500 yen, which came with a generous portion of rice, salad, pickled vegetables, egg soup, and oolong tea. The mapo tofu had a smooth texture due to the use of silk tofu. It was not very spicy, with a mild amount of heat. The portion size was just right. The sauce was a bit watery at the bottom, but it soaked into the rice nicely. There were no condiments on the table, so you may need to ask the staff or bring your own. Overall, I was impressed by the quality of the meal for just one coin.

I went on a business trip to Hokkaido, and that night I went out with a friend. When asked what I had for lunch, I said sushi. So, my friend suggested we have Chinese food for dinner. We started with a toast with beer, and then ordered a lot of dishes like bang bang chicken, seafood tofu, shrimp chili, lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork, mapo tofu, and stir-fried pork with green peppers. We ordered so much food that I thought it was too much, but my friend encouraged me to keep eating. The dishes were all delicious, so I let my friend take care of ordering. We chatted and reminisced while enjoying the food, and finished with almond jelly. I think we drank quite a bit of beer, and the bill came out to around 3,000 yen per person. We took a taxi back to the hotel, and I was impressed that my friend, who graduated from Hokkaido University, took me to such a great restaurant near the university.

This is a Chinese set meal restaurant for Hokkaido University students located in front of Hokkaido University Kita 18-jo Station. The prices of the set meals seem affordable, so I decided to try it out during lunchtime. The restaurant is quite noticeable on Kita-dai-mae Street as you head towards Hokkaido University from Kita 18-jo Station. It was bustling with customers, mostly salarymen rather than students. I was guided to a private room, and the menu had a wide variety of options. The ramen and fried rice set meal looked appealing, but the staff seemed to struggle with Japanese (><). I chose the deep-fried tofu and tripe stew set meal, which was described as spicy. I wonder if it will be like Mapo tofu? The dish turned out to be mildly spicy sauce with tofu and tripe swimming in it. It came with plenty of rice, egg soup, and daikon salad in the set. It reminded me of Koshu, a restaurant near my workplace. It's affordable and satisfying! The pickled mustard greens are authentic and delicious. The tripe flavor is not too salty or strong, but it goes well with rice (lol). It's tasty, but not mind-blowing. I couldn't stop eating the rice (lol). The soup and tofu were good too. When I think about it, the portion size is generous, but the ingredients are surprisingly healthy. Well, you shouldn't come here if you're looking for a healthy lunch, but it's a satisfying Chinese meal that fills you up!

It's a typical Chinese restaurant with a lot of oil in the dishes. It's popular among students from Hokkaido University nearby. I had dumplings and asked for chili oil, but it tasted like oxidized oil with a strange flavor. The portions are generous for the price, so it's good value for money. However, I wish they would improve the quality of the oil used. Overall, I think I won't be going back there.
