After soaking in the hot springs at Shinnai Onsen, I decided to have lunch. I had planned to try the oyster and leek pizza recommended by the respected old man from Hakodate, but to my surprise, there was no mention of oysters on the menu. I ended up ordering the spaghetti aglio e olio lunch set instead. What surprised me even more was the price. For only 700 yen, I got a salad and soup included. The salad was full of fresh vegetables and the soup was a rich and flavorful cold soup. And the pasta! I thought I knew what to expect with spaghetti aglio e olio, but this one was different and delicious. It had a tangy tomato flavor with a spicy kick from the chili peppers, and plenty of vegetables. As I was eating, I noticed that the oyster menu was actually posted on the wall. I was already full, so I'll save the oyster pizza for next time.

I visited during lunchtime. It is a cafe called Poem in Chionai Town. I didn't do any research beforehand ^^ I was hungry around here, so I decided to go in. I don't come around here often, so I don't have much knowledge of the area. I found it while wandering around aimlessly. The shop is located along the road with a somewhat ordinary cafe-like appearance. There is a parking space in front of the store. I parked my car and entered the store. The interior of the store is relatively small. There are about three table seats. There is a counter, but it seems you can't sit there. I placed an order. Only meals and drinks, please. I ordered the Pescaatore and an iced coffee from the menu. The total price is 850 yen. There was a bit of a wait, but the Pescaatore was brought out. It's quite a generous portion ^^ And although I didn't order a set menu, it came with a salad and vichyssoise ^^ Let's try it. The Pescaatore has a good volume ^^ The ingredients are squid, shrimp, clams, and scallops. There was also onion in the tomato sauce. It doesn't look like a typical Pescaatore, but it was delicious ^^ And there was plenty of it ^^ The salad was also plentiful ^^ Surprisingly, the vichyssoise was delicious. It's a cold potato soup, but it had a very smooth and creamy taste ^^ When the iced coffee came out, there was a container of the same size next to it. Next to that was a portion of syrup. I thought this was syrup, but it's milk. So, what's in this container? This amount of syrup is the first time I've seen it provided ^^ Even though I have a sweet tooth, I couldn't finish the entire amount ^^ Inside the store, the sound of a guitar resonates in the background. Only the guitar. Looking closely, guitars are displayed in several places. I asked what this was about. Apparently, the guitar music playing in the background is a recording of the owner playing it himself. I was surprised. The owner looks like a father figure, and although he was a bit hard to talk to, he has a cute smile when he laughs ^^ His guitar playing skills seem quite impressive. I was very full ^^ I would like to visit again when I'm nearby. Thank you for the meal.
