We were served white miso-marinated Moroccan green beans as the appetizer! We also had a sashimi assortment (flounder, yellowtail clam), rice octopus and young burdock simmered dish, and simmered bamboo shoots and fiddleheads. The spring-themed dishes made us feel warm and cozy! The proprietress was very friendly and the service was wonderful! I felt like this was a place where locals gather. Located a 3-minute walk from Nishiohashi Station and about a 15-minute walk from Shinsaibashi, this restaurant is run by a head chef who trained at Tsukiji and a friendly female owner. I ordered a highball, thinly sliced flounder, Tajima chicken salt-grilled, tempura, sweet potatoes, prawns, conger eel, marinated tuna bowl, and clam miso soup. I appreciate that I can order my favorite dishes a la carte, as I often end up eating course meals when dining out. Although I didn't order it this time, I highly recommend the grilled Wagyu sirloin with soy sauce. The relaxed atmosphere makes it a place you'd want to visit regularly. I'm looking forward to dropping by again.

Back alley behind Yotsuhashi Station. While strolling around and searching on Tabelog for a delicious looking restaurant, I came across this place. It's nice to find a small restaurant in Osaka! As I entered, I was greeted by a friendly smiling father. It seems like a family-run business. The appetizer of leek and squid salad has a gentle flavor with just the right amount of acidity, perfect for enjoying with drinks. The crispy texture of the shiitake mushroom tempura is irresistible. The eel and shiso roll tempura has a fluffy texture and is delicious. The salt-grilled new Pacific saury is delicious, especially the belly part. The simmered small taro has a soft and fluffy texture that complements the meal perfectly. I appreciate the friendly but not overly intrusive service from the father. Looking forward to visiting again when I come to Osaka on business.
