I was taken to a place called "Stand Konomi" because it looked delicious when my friend went there. It’s located just past the Tenichi shopping street from Minamimorimachi. This hidden standing bar is on the first floor of a building. Even though I had heard the location, I couldn't find it because it's deep inside the building. The bar has a counter that can accommodate about ten people, and the wood-themed interior is stylish. The food is both delicious and sophisticated, and the cozy hidden ambiance makes it a great spot for a date. This is a new restaurant that opened in November 2023. It's a hidden gem located just beyond the shopping street. The menu offers a wide variety of food, including small plates and hearty dishes, so you can find something satisfying no matter how hungry you are. I discovered a new sign at the southern end of the Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street! After the opening sale ended and things settled down, I made my first visit to Stand Konomi. The address is 1-12-22 Tenjinbashi, Kita-ku, Osaka, approximately a 4-minute walk from the Osaka Metro "Nanmorimachi" station. Stand Konomi is a stand shop from the creative teppanyaki dining, Kono-mi, located in Takarazuka city. My wife and I arrived at the restaurant just before 7 PM. The day off is irregular, and business hours are from 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM (Last Order at 10:00 PM). The place was almost full, so we found a spot to sit! After getting permission to take photos, I noticed a stylish interior filled with a variety of bottles and colorful plates. The menu includes diverse appetizers! After discussing with my wife, I ordered a medium draft beer, a red star bottle, a daily assorted five kinds of sake snacks, fried horse mackerel, and fried oysters. The dishes arrived in order. The daily assorted five kinds of sake snacks featured a combination of that day's selections, including Wagyu tataki, octopus and tomato ume marinated salad, pickled persimmon and radish, simmered turnip, and domestic chicken breast with cucumber and sesame. Each item was of high quality and made great appetizers. The fried horse mackerel and oysters came with homemade tartar sauce topped with red pepper and dill! They were freshly prepared and served at an optimal temperature from the fryer. Both dishes were crispy with juicy fillings and tasted delicious. My wife and I had made plans to hop to another place after this, and the total came to about 1,500 yen per person! It’s a wonderful place run by a fantastic owner. The shop owner seemed to be quite busy by themselves, so I only had beer, shochu, and a caprese salad with persimmons and mozzarella cheese. It's a place I would like to visit again and take my time.
