During a stroll in Koshifu in September 2022, I came across a cake shop and decided to go in. It seemed quite popular with a good number of customers. They also sold bread, so I decided to buy some to take home. The cakes in the display case all looked delicious and tempting, but unfortunately, photography was not allowed. I purchased three different types of bread and when I tried them at home, they were all hard bread with a nice floury taste. Especially the butter sandwich bread was incredibly delicious when warmed up. I am curious about the cakes and would like to go back to buy some. It was a delightful meal.

There is a cake shop in Kuniko Town. They sell cakes, baked goods, and rye bread. You can also get coffee and smoothies to go. I bought some baked goods, chocolate cream shortcake, crunchy chocolate banana, fruity jelly, milk crepe, and coffee jelly. The cakes look cute and would make great souvenirs. I also bought a coffee jelly for myself, which was made with coffee served in the shop, and it had a nice bitterness and richness. They accept electronic payments, which is convenient.

I purchased a fruit tart for 400 yen and a baked cheesecake for 350 yen since I was nearby. They were delicious, but I have two favorite cake shops in Kitami, so I may not buy from this shop often. Fancy cakes are expensive, both here and in Kitami. The cream puff with strawberry was good. I only like the cream in cream puffs, so I would like to buy just the cream puffs if they have them. I will visit again. The service was good.

"Kagami Confectionery Shop" in Kuniko Town. I went there for lunch, passing by the shop on the way to Kuniko Town. I thought I had seen it before and assumed the shop name would be written in the notes, but it wasn't. I will stop by on my way back. It's a trendy and beautiful shop. They have a sign saying "Ask for permission before taking photos." I don't take photos because I'm not religious. I ordered "Strawberry Shortcake," "Fruit Tart," and "Mango Cake." It's expensive. I might have wanted to spend more, but it's probably not possible in Kuniko Town. When I showed the shop name to my wife, she was impressed. The "Fruit Tart" is falling apart. Maybe there are too many different ingredients stacked on top of each other. The bottom is a pie crust. I feel disappointed. The "Mango Cake" has a coarse sponge. It feels very awkward when eating it. It doesn't stay still. There is a way to eat it neatly, which is to put the whole thing in your mouth at once. Otherwise, it's hard to eat this cake neatly."

There was only one small traditional Japanese sweets shop in the town of Kuniko, despite being an independent municipality. However, a long-awaited cake shop has finally opened. Although it started in a rural area, the cake shop has a calm and beautiful interior with a surprisingly wide variety of baked goods and cakes in the showcase for a small shop. The staff is not only behind the counter but also on the floor. The shop's layout is quite solid for a small individual store. As for the food, the fruit tart has plenty of fruit with a normal jelly layer on top and a cookie base. The omelette-like dessert was fluffy and delicious. The chocolate cake had a fluffy texture with a cocoa flavor, which was enjoyable for chocolate lovers. The roll cake was light and airy, made with local Kuniko milk, and the standout feature of the shop was the milk-flavored fresh cream, which had a strong milk taste. It may not be suitable for those who dislike milk, but highly recommended for milk lovers in the area.

I enjoyed all the cakes shortly after the store opened.

I always go there. It's delicious. My recommendation is the Milk Pudding Anmitsu!
