Today, I felt like eating ramen from Yoshiyama Shoten. It's true, sometimes you just crave it, right? But if it's crowded, let's not go in. When I arrived under those conditions, it was empty. After disinfecting my hands, I was seated in a booth. This restaurant allows for social distancing, and the chairs in the booth are large. The tables are high enough that you can't see the other customers, so you don't directly come into contact with any droplets, which is reassuring. Even though there was only one salaryman at the counter, there were no other customers nearby. I ordered the Salt Ramen for 780 yen, a popular choice here, and my companion ordered the Roasted Spicy Miso Ramen for 850 yen, both with free small rice (usually 100 yen). It had been two years since my last visit. Wow, it's been a while. We chatted about that and our food was served promptly. The soup was just as amazing as before - flavorful, salty, and oily. Almost perfect for my taste. The noodles were a bit firm, which was good to help the soup cling to them, but I prefer them a bit softer. The small rice was cooked perfectly this time, a nice surprise. I savored every bite. I was completely satisfied with the meal. If the soup had been a bit more plentiful and hotter, the noodles would have been just right. But for 780 yen with free rice, I'm still happy. The rating has definitely gone up since two years ago. My companion's Roasted Spicy Miso Ramen was delicious too, with a smooth miso flavor and richness, although the spiciness was mild. We both enjoyed our meals. I noticed a middle-aged salaryman at the counter finishing his soup. The soup here is just so good, isn't it? The ramen and rice were both delicious. Thank you for the meal. I'll definitely be back.
