I visited for lunch. The restaurant is directly connected to Takebashi Station, so it gets crowded before lunch hour. There are only table seats, but the spacing is generous, creating a calm and stylish atmosphere for a soba restaurant. During lunch time, they offer a variety of set menus, which I highly recommend. The soba was fragrant and delicious when eaten on its own, but I felt that the dipping sauce, being a two-eighths ratio, might overpower it. The thickness and chewiness of the noodles were to my liking, so I enjoyed them. You can adjust the rice portion in the set menu, so make sure to request that when ordering. As for the soba broth, it was a bit disappointing for fans of thick broth, as it turned out to be quite thin.

It was a soba restaurant with thin noodles that went down smoothly, providing a great texture. I ordered the tororo soba, which paired well with the slightly sweet dipping sauce and was delicious. It would be perfect if there was a raw egg mixed in with the tororo, but that might be a bit extravagant. The bright and open atmosphere of the restaurant was also very nice. Thank you for the meal!

At the basement of Takebashi, there's a soba shop that serves as an oasis for battling salarymen who recharge their energy with brown food. It's mostly a fried food and meat shop, but here, within this sanctuary, you can expect a decent-sized set meal. However, the shirasu (whitebait) bowl set is probably the lightest option available. While it may not be the best choice within this sanctuary, it surprisingly offers good quality. Honestly, a mini shirasu bowl would be enough for me, but in this sanctuary, such simple choices aren't allowed.

I wanted something light for lunch, so I had someone take me here. The place seems to have just been renovated, and the interior is very clean and spacious. There’s a counter, so I think I could come alone next time without any hesitation. I ordered the soba and shirasu don set from the lunch menu, and it was just the right amount—not too much, and not too little, which was nice.

I was craving cold soba, so I visited after a meeting with a client. The restaurant is located inside the Palace Side Building, making it an excellent location. The interior is bright and clean, and both the soba and tempura met my expectations. Given the prime location, it seems challenging to balance cost and quality. I would like to revisit this place the next time I'm in the area and craving soba.

I visited the restaurant for lunch for the first time in a while. I chose the soba lunch set that comes with a mini tempura rice bowl, but the tempura was over-fried and somewhat cold, which was disappointing. I think I should have just gone for the soba. I’ll take this experience as a lesson for my next lunch outing.

There aren't many soba shops around Takebashi. However, this one is located inside the Palace Side Building and is really convenient when craving soba without opting for a ticket system. On this day, I wanted something comforting, so I ordered the Tamago toji soba for 900 yen and a mini tempura bowl for 500 yen. I decided not to think too much about whether the tempura bowl could be considered comforting σ(^_^;). The egg drop soba has a simple composition of egg, seaweed, and mitsuba (Japanese wild parsley), and it also includes yuzu, which adds a lovely flavor! The fluffy egg drop creates a gentle mouthfeel, and the broth here is not too strong in soy sauce but has a rich dashi flavor, making the overall soba a warm and cozy dish that met my expectations perfectly. The tempura bowl features shrimp and sweet potato tempura, with the shrimp being large and cut in half. The thick, sweet sauce contrasts with the mildness of the soba, providing a robust flavor, which made for a good combination. The restaurant used to have quite an outdated interior, but it has been renovated and now looks much more modern, and it feels like the clientele has gotten a bit younger. While the prices are slightly on the higher side, it has become a soba shop where one can enjoy a relaxed dining experience.

I glanced at the menu at the restaurant and thought I'd like to try it, aiming for a less crowded time during the Obon holiday. I ordered the egg tempura rice bowl along with cold soba, all for a total of 1,000 yen including tax. The soba can be served either warm or cold. The dipping sauce was quite salty! It seemed like there was more soy sauce than dashi, and I found the dashi flavor lacking. Although it was cooked down, the aroma was lost. When the soba broth was served, it didn't have a fragrant dashi scent even when mixed in, so I was left feeling it wasn't worth the price. Perhaps I’ve been eating cheaper soba lately, and my taste buds have adjusted. Unfortunately, the meal was quite disappointing. The tempura rice bowl came with egg tempura topped with bonito flakes and green onions. I felt it needed a little more finesse. It would have been nice to see the tempura bits mixed with the dipping sauce along with green onions and nori for a "tanuki" rice dish, or to add something aromatic like yuzu or perilla. Additionally, instead of using processed pickles that last longer, I would have preferred freshly made pickles like nozawana or other greens. Overall, the meal didn’t offer much appeal for the price, and I’m afraid I won’t be returning.

There are various types of sake, and seasonal dishes are abundant, making the soba very delicious as well. I think the restaurant would become more inviting if the guidance to our seats, the timing for the first drink, and the responsiveness of the staff when taking orders were smoother. Everyone was friendly, but there was a slightly clumsy impression of the operation. Thank you, and I look forward to visiting again.

I reserved a private room for the course meal. I was very satisfied with the service, the food, the drinks, and the billing. The restaurant had a very calming atmosphere. I would like to go again.
