Le Havre: On my way back from the café, I noticed a sign for cakes... so I went in and bought one (。・ω・。) Later, I saw some reviews...!! Is the roll cake famous? But... I didn't see it (O_O)! The Earl Grey cake was quite assertive from the first bite!! Topped with beautiful fruits, but the way they are connected makes it a bit difficult to eat. The cream puff had plenty of cream, and I liked the sweet and sour taste of the strawberries. I want to try the roll cake next time I'm nearby, so let's stop by again...

The visual of the product named Earl Grey is a refreshing expression with fruits elegantly arranged. When you taste the airy cream base with a mousse on top... it's tea. After the light and smooth texture, a noble aroma emerges... followed by a fresh sweetness. The overall experience is truly wonderful. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

When I visited Barnes before and happened to find a cake shop, I decided to try some of their cakes this time!
- Le Havre Roll Cake (cut): The sponge cake was moist and the cream was soft and fluffy. It seems like this shop specializes in roll cakes, and the taste was satisfying.
- Cookie Choux: The cookie had a crunchy texture with rich custard inside. The custard had a generous amount of vanilla beans, and even though it was small, it was delicious and fulfilling.
- Service Item: There was leftover pudding being sold at a lower price, and it turned out to have cream on top. The pudding inside was sweet and creamy like custard, very delicious.
- Sable: I ordered matcha, lemon, strawberry, and fromage flavors. They were crispy, not too sweet, and tasty. The roll cake and the service pudding left a strong impression. It felt like I could sense the dedication of the roll cake specialty shop. Thank you for the meal!

One weekend, I stopped by a cake shop in Yamanote, Nishi-ku, where I had bookmarked. The shop was not too big or too small, and the display case welcomed me with a variety of cakes. I chose a roll cake and a tart from the menu to bring back as souvenirs. The roll cake was moist and had a soft yet slightly firm sponge, with a hint of oil and a mild sweetness. The milk-flavored cream was also delicious. The tart was a type of cheesecake with a subtle cheese flavor, giving it an elegant impression. The eclair had a crispy chocolate chip topping and a rich custard cream filling. Overall, the cakes at this shop were simple yet delicious. Thank you for the meal.

A cute shop with a prominent pink color. I visited around 11:30, but they only had two types of cakes? They said they have all varieties available around noon...quite a laid-back cake shop (laughs). The cheesecake had a strong acidity, but the Mont Blanc was delicious.

Between Nishitaka and Yamanote-lucky, heading straight up the hill towards "Kita Ichijo Miyanosawa-dori", a few years ago, there was a shop that a bagel shop from Tokachi opened with great fanfare, and next to it was a wholesaler specializing in Western bags. The bagel shop closed down in a few months, and the wholesaler went bankrupt in a few years. After being vacant for a while, on December 6, 2019, "Le Aube" opened. It seems to be a specialty store for roll cakes, with a pink and white unified store that tickles a maiden's heart. The atmosphere is perfect for a sweet Western confectionery shop, but it may be a bit difficult for a lone middle-aged man to enter. The interior is staffed by two young women, and roll cakes are available from around 1,100 yen, with whole cakes also available. Although there are few varieties, there are other cakes besides roll cakes. I purchased "Le Aube @324" and "Natsunomizuki @420 (limited to weekends)". I walked there, but decided to take the bus back and asked for ice packs to keep them cool. The "Le Aube" plain roll cake had a fluffy and moist texture that can only be expected from a specialty store, and the cream was also a high-quality animal product. I would be happy if there was a little more cream. The "Natsunomizuki" had a small size with a subtle acidity of strawberries, but other than that, it was similar to "Le Aube". It would be nice to have some originality somewhere. Lately, convenience store roll cakes are cheap and delicious. If a specialty store considers originality and pricing, it would be more user-friendly. Thank you for the meal.

I saw a review of Mairevi-san and happened to pass by the place. There was a showcase visible from outside with a variety of cute items at reasonable prices. I couldn't decide what to get, but then I noticed something on the top shelf. I forgot the name of the product, but it was a set of broken roll cakes for 650 yen. The taste was the same, but it's not always available. There was only one set left, so I bought it. It contained 4 slices of cut roll cake that were delicious - the sponge was fine and the cream was tasty. It was so good that I was impressed after not having roll cake in a while. I would love to try the regular version of it! If this product is available, it's a great deal! I visited around 2 pm, but I think it's better to go in the morning if you want to get it. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal! We experienced a power outage during lunch and unexpected things happened, causing a bit of chaos and my emotions were disturbed, so there are few photos.

Weekend stroll series. There was a cake shop that my husband, who loves roll cakes, wanted to try, but it was closed when we passed by a while ago. Yesterday, I confirmed that it was open and finally bought it today. The location is on the way from Nishitaka to Barnes, just before the hill with a pink flag. I went on foot, but you can probably park in front of the store. Back at home, I will enjoy it with freshly brewed coffee.
Le Havre: I bought the roll cake I was looking for in a whole. When I cut it, it was quite elastic. When I tried it, it was chewy and moist, with a fine texture that feels crisp in the mouth. A clear example would be similar to pancake batter. Still, it has a strong flavor of wheat flour and eggs. The staff said they are particular about the cake batter, and I totally agree! I was impressed by the unique texture of the roll cake. The cream inside is also moderately sweet, and I feel like I can finish it all by myself.
Blanc et Viole: I also bought the cheesecake here as it was newly released in the showcase. The acidity of the rare cheesecake is mild, and it's just right when eaten with the blueberry sauce at the bottom. The cookies on top are in a small bag, and you can choose to put them on when eating. I also bought another one, Café Noir et Blanc, a chocolate cake, but I'll leave it for my husband (laughs). I found a delicious roll cake shop after a long time. This would be a great gift to bring, and I heard that you can make reservations for the weekend-limited roll cakes that were not available today. I'll definitely go back again. Thank you for the meal!

On a day off, I went around a few shops with my friend and came across a suggestion from them when looking at a map. It turns out that the shop is right next to Barnes, which I often pass by when going to Barnes but never noticed before. We entered the shop and were greeted by friendly staff. The owner of the shop is from LeTAO, so I had high hopes for cheese-related items. When looking at the showcase, I found a roll cake named after the shop, which shows their confidence. I purchased the roll cake and also a Crème Fromage, which is a cheese-based item. The La Aube roll cake had a soft and fluffy texture with a good eggy flavor. The cream inside had a milky taste with a hint of sweet vanilla flavor. The cream was smooth with a good mouthfeel and a mild sweetness. The Crème Fromage was a two-layer cake with two types of cheese, but it was quite light and had a gentle cheese flavor without much sweetness or acidity. It had a light and pleasant texture that melted in the mouth. Overall, the cakes were not overly rich, making them easy for anyone to enjoy. The texture was particularly good. I would definitely consider coming back to try other cakes if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal!

I always see a sweets blogger posting about the roll cakes from this cake shop, and they looked really delicious, so I was curious about this place! The roll cake had a fluffy texture with a strong egg flavor, but also a slight moistness, similar to the hotcake batter from Tsubaki-ya that I had recently. Maybe this is similar to the trendy Taiwanese castella cakes? The cream inside was milky with a hint of milkiness.
The cream puff had cream already inside, but the pastry was quite crispy, so there was no softness at all. It was quite fragrant! The custard cream was surprisingly smooth and creamy, with a mild sweetness that made it easy to eat. The size was about 1.5 times smaller than Beard Papa (I haven't had Beard Papa in a while, so the size comparison might be a bit off). The staff's service was very polite and cheerful, which left a good impression! They also had a variety of baked goods, and the pound cakes looked dense and delicious. I had been curious about this place, but it was not easily accessible for me, so I'm glad I could visit this time. Thank you so much, Wu-ta-san, as always!
