I went to a Chinese-style hot pot restaurant on the third floor with my Chinese friend. We entered on the first floor and took the elevator at the back to the third floor. Most of the customers were Chinese, and as soon as we entered, someone greeted us in Chinese. The meat was average, but the flavor of the hot pot was delicious, and it was fun to mix our own dipping sauce. I love spicy food, but for the hot pot, a mild spice level was enough, and I was able to add more heat with the dipping sauce. Each person gets their own small pot, which allows everyone to adjust the spiciness to their liking. The large central pot can have two types of broth. I especially liked the texture of the yam vermicelli. Many of the staff were young Chinese people who are studying Japanese, and I didn’t have any trouble communicating, as they could understand Japanese quite well.

【Mama's Hot Pot Beer Garden & Shabu-Shabu】A beer garden open year-round! You can enjoy different beers and delicious dishes depending on the season! The hot pot in such an open atmosphere was exceptional.
■ What I Ordered
Authentic Sichuan Spicy Hot Pot (Mild Spicy), Chicken White Soup Hot Pot, Lamb, Limited-Time Beef Brisket, Beef Tongue, Pork Belly, Twice-Cooked Pork, Strawberry Milk, etc.
● Review
This beer garden is just a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station! I enjoyed hot pot in a spacious environment! It was incredibly delicious, and the amount was great for the price—just genuinely fantastic! I definitely want to try eating on the terrace in the summer!
The "Authentic Sichuan Spicy Hot Pot (Mild Spicy)" had a slightly spicy and numbing broth that was addictive! Cooking the lamb and beef briefly in it made me unable to stop eating!
The one dish I especially recommend is the Pork Belly. It's very delicious. The seasoning is great, but the tenderness of the pork is just perfect, making me want to order rice to go with it.
This place is wonderful! I can't believe I found such a hidden gem! Everyone should definitely check it out! Hot pot is the best!

■I made a reservation for a group of about 8 people with my Chinese friend on a weekday at 19:30.
■We enjoyed hot pot with a salad bar that included all-you-can-eat set salads, pineapples, sweet grapefruits, and sesame balls! I was so happy that I ate three sesame balls. The lamb skewers, which are common in Korean cuisine, were delicious. Hot pot is perfect for this season, right? I’m not good with spicy food, so it was great to have a choice of various broths, and having a separate pot for each person was a nice touch.
■Other comments: When you enter, instead of using the stairs, go straight to the elevator to the 3rd floor!
The staff is very friendly◎
The restaurant is clean◎
The chairs are comfortable.
I heard it turns into a beer garden in the summer, but it felt a bit cold… it would be nice to have a heater under the table!

I went to a restaurant in Shinjuku, and it was really delicious! I ended up eating too much and my stomach was so full, but it was worth it! They had a wide variety of dishes and the prices were great too. You can also order from the izakaya or bubble tea menu at the same time. As we’re heading into the cold season, make sure to enjoy lots of warm food! ☀

I visited the Beer Garden & Shabu-Shabu BLAST SHINJUKU! Located on the third floor, this place offers authentic hot pot. In addition to hot pot, they also have tomato pot, mushroom pot, and more. When you choose a course, you can get a full hot pot set starting from 2,980 yen, making it a great option for girls' night out or a date.
I’m a big fan of mushroom pot (the medicinal mushroom hot pot is great for reducing swelling!), so I decided to go with that and opted for a healthy choice by skipping the meat. I especially love dried tofu, which is delicious and resembles dried noodles! Whenever I go for hot pot, I always order dried tofu. It absorbs the broth and is super healthy, making it hard for me to stop eating!
I ordered spinach, cilantro, a mix of vegetables and mushrooms, and dried tofu, and I thoroughly enjoyed the mushroom pot. Additionally, the strawberry Oreo drink I ordered was super cute and Instagram-worthy, so I highly recommend it! It was delicious! Since I love Oreos, choosing the Quattro Formaggi was a good decision; it was authentic with plenty of cheese and tasted great! There were also dishes like shrimp chili and yakisoba.
Even though it was raining and I couldn’t sit outside, there seemed to be plenty of seats outdoors. It looks like it would be a fun place to enjoy a party vibe in the upcoming season!

✨Enjoy a year-round Beer Garden in Shinjuku✨ I found “BLAST! SHINJUKU,” where you can enjoy a beer garden right in the heart of Shinjuku all year long! They have a special space that changes with the seasons, and in winter, you can warm up with hot pot! It's conveniently located near the station, making it perfect for quick meet-ups. I was really grateful when they helped me out with my phone charger when I forgot mine! I felt a bit bad asking, but the open-air location surrounded by skyscrapers makes enjoying hot pot outdoors an exceptional experience!
You can create your own dipping sauce from 20 different condiments, and I tried making my original sauce with cilantro and ponzu—so delicious! The salad buffet even has unlimited "sesame balls," which was a satisfying bonus!
The rich and creamy chicken broth was deep and flavorful, while the tomato soup had a refreshing balance of acidity and sweetness, perfectly enhancing the ingredients.
The A5-grade black wagyu shoulder loin melts in your mouth, and the selected lamb meat is juicy with little gamey flavor. The pork shoulder has a perfect amount of fat that bursts with juiciness with every bite. The shrimp meatballs are plump and tasty, while the beef meatballs have a solid flavor. The white fish is mild yet absorbs the broth's umami perfectly.
You can also get a generous serving of mixed mushrooms and vegetables, and the shrimp fried rice is delicious with perfectly cooked shrimp and fragrant rice. The 生麺 pasta has a chewy texture that pairs nicely with the broth, making it a luxurious finishing dish.
You'll find it on the third floor after going past the Chicken Fighter izakaya on the first floor. If you're looking to enjoy a beer garden in Shinjuku, definitely check it out!

If you want to feel incredibly liberated from the hustle and bustle of daily life, I recommend this spot for a year-round beer garden! Despite being surrounded by high-rise buildings, the sky is brilliantly bright (although it was cloudy on this day, haha). This outdoor dining spot, which opened in September of this year, offers shabu-shabu with a choice of lamb and beef tongue. You can create your own dipping sauces from a variety of seasonings at the buffet, and there's even unlimited “cilantro” available! The salad buffet includes an amazing selection with “sesame balls” also being unlimited. You can easily get your money's worth with just three drinks. It's a place that seems enjoyable for families with children as well!

What impressed me was the salad bar and the sauce bar, where you can create your own sauce by blending from about 20 different condiments. I made an original sauce using garlic, cilantro, green onions, and ponzu, which was really enjoyable. I opted for unlimited drinks with a sour drink for 600 yen if you pick one type to drink continuously. I ordered sea urchin sashimi, abalone, and crab miso. The prices were reasonable, which was great. I regretted forgetting to eat the sesame balls. I’ll just have to go back again.

The outdoor hot pot experience at this unique location is truly exceptional! To get inside, you need to take an elevator up to the third floor. I've never seen such a large-scale hotel in Japan. The entire first floor is a chicken fighter izakaya where you can order freshly grilled skewers! With over 250 options, you can enjoy authentic Sichuan hot pot, Japanese-style skewers, authentic Sichuan stir-fry, Italian pizza, and more! The 160-seat outdoor hot pot area on the third floor offers a distinctive view! Eating hot pot outdoors is really enjoyable, and you won't have to worry about the smell! Today, if you spend 13,000 yen, you can eat for free next month! There's an ongoing promotion! If you bring your receipt from payments made between October 15th and October 30th, you'll receive the same amount of meals for free from November 1st to November 30th! Don't miss out!
