Fukushima Town, where the famous sumo wrestler Chiyonofuji was born, is known for its sumo culture. The national junior high school sports festival's sumo competition takes place here in Fukushima Town. There aren't many shops around here, and honestly, the restaurant I went into wasn't my first choice, but when I ordered the five-ingredient yakisoba with thick sauce, it turned out to be a hit. The sauce was thick and the dish was packed with ingredients. Truly fitting for a seaside town. It was quite a large portion but the price was affordable. It was a surprising discovery. Next door is a guesthouse, so I assume this place serves as a dining area for the guesthouse. I thought spending a holiday at a guesthouse, gazing at the sea while enjoying a meal, wouldn't be a bad idea.

I became a lunch refugee and randomly entered a shop. It was cold so I decided to try the hot ramen with sauce on top, and it was delicious! I will definitely come back to this place again.

- 11/18 First Visit - Today, I visited the Fukushima town site for the day. After checking the situation at the Fukushima site, I visited this shop that caught my eye last time I passed by. I arrived at 2 pm and there was one customer ahead of me. I was seated at a table in the back. It seems like the shop is run by a father, mother, and two sons. I ordered the "Gomoku Ankake Yakisoba" from the son who brought me water. It arrived in about 10 minutes. It was very flavorful and had plenty of ingredients. The noodles were thin and had a good chewiness. The smooth taste of the sauce paired well with the ingredients. I alternated between mixing the noodles with the sauce and the ingredients with the sauce, and finished every last bit without stopping! The customer who came in after me also ordered the "Gomoku Ankake Yakisoba" for two people, but the staff kindly assured them it was okay. The dish for the later customer even came with a separate plate. The thoughtfulness towards this customer is something other restaurants should learn from. I will definitely visit this restaurant again!
