On July 17, 2021, despite it being a regular workday, I came across a trendy cafe and a fried chicken restaurant that I had been curious about for a while in my neighborhood the day before my day off on Saturday. So, I decided to have lunch and take a stroll with my family. I couldn't resist the fried chicken set meal at the neighboring restaurant, but I also wanted to check out the new cafe next door. As we entered, we were greeted by a staff member who recommended their menu. The cafe had a stylish atmosphere with a well-organized shelf of alcohol for cocktails. The kids had sandwiches, I had Gorgonzola carbonara, and my wife had cold Genovese pasta. We also ordered set drinks, which came with lime in the cola and lemon in the ginger ale. As a surprise, the owner served ice cream to the kids at the end, which made them very happy. The presentation was beautiful, and the food was delicious. I would love to continue visiting this place. When it gets hot, the symptoms worsen, it is a designated rare disease by the government. Unfortunately, there is still no medicine that suits my rare disease. I was hospitalized again for rare disease treatment in April and May, following hospitalizations in September last year and January this year. Your supportive comments were a source of strength for me during my hospital stay. I am truly grateful. I was discharged in early May, but during the tests and consultations in late May, the doctor mentioned the possibility of another hospitalization. If I have not recovered by the June check-up, the doctor recommends hospitalization again. After receiving the second dose of the COVID vaccine, treatment cannot be scheduled for two weeks. The doctor instructed me to confirm my vaccination schedule, so I contacted Sapporo City. Sapporo City's vaccination schedule for those aged 65-74 is expected to end in February next year. Those under 64 with underlying conditions are prioritized, and the acceptance of those with underlying conditions is scheduled to start in July. Prime Minister Suga said that vaccination for people aged 65 and over will be completed by July this year, but Sapporo City said that if vaccination vouchers for those aged 65 and over have not arrived by the end of June, please call again. In the Sumikawa area, I had a satisfying lunch. Passing by "Cafe & Bar Confluence," I saw a nice sandwich illustration. Even though I was full, I made my first visit with my usual companion for takeout (laughs). This shop is located near Sumikawa Station on the subway in Sumikawa area of Minami-ku, Sapporo. Please check the exact location on Tabelog. It was a visit around 2 p.m. on a weekday. There were a few customers in the store, maintaining social distance. I ordered the "Special Sandwich," a limited edition sandwich. The sandwich was cut in half, put in a plastic bag, and placed in a paper bag immediately. ■ Special Sandwich Weight: Actual measurement 290g (after deducting the wind bag) A quite chubby sandwich with daily limited ingredients such as bacon, tomato slices, cheese, lettuce, dressing, etc. The bread was brown and had a whole wheat flavor. Price: 700 yen (tax included) The "Special Sandwich" is my favorite chubby sandwich (laughs). The taste was quite good, and it was an enjoyable sandwich. Even after some time, the bread remained intact. Despite the abundance of lettuce and other ingredients, there was no moisture making it soggy. It was a well-made vegetable sandwich. Last month at the end of May, a new store opened. At first, it looked like a miscellaneous goods store, but there was a menu board at the storefront which caught my attention, so I decided to go in. Inside, I noticed various objects that seemed to be the owner's hobby. I sat at a table and ordered the following from the menu: Prosciutto with melon, Gorgonzola carbonara pasta for 950 yen, and a blend coffee. While connecting to the free Wi-Fi and checking the store's Facebook page, a beautifully decorated salad plate with flowers caught my eye. The soft-flavored prosciutto with melon was lightly drizzled with olive oil and salt, possibly with some powdered cheese. The pasta was served in a transparent dish, with Gorgonzola mixed with a mild blue cheese flavor. The dish also had plenty of prosciutto, melon, and flowers. The owner is from Sumikawa and used to work as a bartender in Susukino before opening this café. I liked their Facebook page and received a dessert as a gift, which was a sweet potato dessert with rose essence cream. The sweet potato was delicious! The owner, who is a handsome bartender, seems to have created a nice café bar in Sumikawa. I also ordered a "special sandwich" to take home, which had thick-cut bacon, mozzarella cheese, and balsamic vinegar. I didn't taste it myself, but it seemed like a portion and flavor more suitable for enjoying with a cocktail rather than for those who want to eat heartily. I hope this place becomes popular. I like the relaxed atmosphere and the sound of the cocktail shaker while making cocktails. The warm caramel latte set with white and regular, along with the unique mint and fresh chocolate, was unusual and had a hint of Western liquor.

When I followed the Instagram account, they gave me a complimentary tiramisu as a sample of their new menu items: cold Genovese with strawberries and pancetta, cold Genovese, caramel latte, and blended coffee.

The hospitality of the staff was wonderful and I could feel their spirit of hospitality. The cold pasta and salad were incredibly delicious and beautifully presented, allowing me to enjoy the professional taste and feel happy.
