Hokkaido Wanderlust 59: Toyotomi Town, Teshio District, Soft Serve Ice Cream is delicious (♡ω♡ ) ~♪ The atmosphere is nice, and the service is friendly and kind. Toyotomi Onsen → Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) → Fellm Soft Serve Ice Cream is the best combination. Seasonal limited edition, Yubari Melon Mix size M cone allows you to choose from 4 flavors at no extra cost. I chose the 9th-anniversary limited edition Maple Cone with Toyotomi Milk, super milky ♡ Yubari Melon is full of juice and amazing. The cone is delicious too, very satisfying (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*.✧ Heading north towards Wakkanai City through Sarobetsu Plain, a vast marshland! The straight road seems to be a water puddle, causing visual illusions. On a clear day, you can see Rishiri and Rebun Islands vaguely, but only the faint shadow of the islands is visible. Covered in bugs, the front windshield and car front are completely covered in bugs.

☆LP☆We arrived in Toyotomi-cho. When you think of Toyotomi-cho, you think of Toyotomi milk! We found a ramen made with this milk on Tabelog and decided to visit. The restaurant was quite busy, so we had to wait a few minutes before being seated. We ordered the Toyotomi milk ramen and a hamburger set. The hamburger was small but juicy, nothing special. The main dish, the ramen, surprisingly had a miso base with a hint of milk, and it was delicious. It even had mushrooms for color. They also had a variety of desserts, including milk soft serve. The restaurant also sells miscellaneous goods, making it a nice stop during a drive. There were even some foreign tourists, giving it a touristy vibe. Let's all enjoy Toyotomi milk together! Thank you for the meal!

The first restaurant I intended to visit was closed that day. The next one on my list was "ferme". By 11:30, the place was already bustling with customers, indicating it was quite popular. Many customers were enjoying soft serve ice cream inside the shop or sitting outside licking it. Since it was lunchtime, we decided to order lunch. The staff advised us to order the soft serve ice cream first to avoid the later crowds. I chose the "yakisoba plate (1078 yen)", which came with yakisoba and the unique "meat-wrapped rice ball". I also ordered the most popular soft serve ice cream, "Toyotomi milk soft serve (300 yen)". The yakisoba plate arrived in 10 minutes, with salted yakisoba, a side salad with Japanese dressing, and blueberry yogurt. The meat-wrapped rice ball was as expected, not exceptional but decent. The place was still crowded with customers coming in non-stop. After finishing our meal, the delicious Toyotomi milk soft serve ice cream was served. The hospitality here was excellent, which explains its popularity. The soft serve ice cream was just right in sweetness and richness, making it worth a repeat visit. I would rate the soft serve ice cream 3.7 and the salted yakisoba 3.4. It's clear that this place is where the locals gather in Tenen, creating a lively atmosphere. Keep up the good work for the community's sake.

The destination of this trip was Toyotomi-cho. After enjoying the hot spring with a petroleum smell at the Furusato Center, we visited Ferm-san. The sweets made with local Toyotomi-cho milk were delicious. This shop is located in the Machi Area of Toyotomi-cho. There is parking space for about 10 cars. When entering, you are required to disinfect and ring the bell, and a friendly staff member will greet you from inside. It seems to be a measure against COVID-19. Inside the shop, various goods and clothes are sold, which was a bit surprising. You place your order at the register. Eating inside the shop is not allowed, but there are chairs outside, and trash cans are provided. Since I was full from eating Genghis Khan, I ordered a small size for 200 yen in a cup. One of my companions ordered a strawberry parfait, and another companion ordered the same small size as me but in a waffle cone. It's nice that you can eat a small size for 200 yen. The soft serve ice cream in a small size was delicious. It was rich yet light, and sweet but not overly so. There was no off-flavor, and the smooth texture was pleasant to eat. I couldn't stop eating once I started. Even though it was a small size, there was more than I expected, but I finished it non-stop. Yes, this soft serve ice cream is really delicious!! I also tried the strawberry parfait, and it was delicious too! The fact that a parfait is only 550 yen is also reasonable. It seems that not only tourists but also local people use this shop a lot. I will definitely come back. Just be aware that they are only open until 3 pm.

On the way back from Wakkanai, I stopped by the usual place, Ferme, for some soft serve ice cream. There is a parking lot in front of the shop. Although there is seating inside, it was occupied by elderly men. I ordered the "Soft Serve Ice Cream (Haskap Berry, Size M, Waffle Cone)" for 300 yen. It was a mix of haskap berry and vanilla, but the haskap berry flavor really stood out and was delicious. Lately, I've been obsessed with waffle cones.

On August 25th at 13:45, I visited a shop that was recommended during a touring trip. It's a miscellaneous goods store that also offers lunch and dessert. They apparently won a soft-serve ice cream contest, but you can check their website for more details. I purchased a large soft-serve ice cream for 400 yen and two boxes of butter sandwiches for 800 yen each. The soft-serve ice cream was slightly sweet with a creamy texture that melts in your mouth. It's different from what you'd find in the Obihiro area. The staff member sat down to scoop the ice cream into a cone, which was quite a generous portion. The butter sandwiches were bought as souvenirs and came in cute paper bags. I haven't opened them yet, but they seem popular as gifts. If you're in the area, it's worth stopping by this shop. Thank you for the meal.

Toyotomi Town, I have visited a few times over the years and have developed quite an attachment to the town. This time, I revisited a cafe called "Ferm". It is located at 9 Odori, Toyotomi Town, Aibetsu District. The opening hours are from 10 am to 6 pm, closed on Tuesdays. They have parking available and it is a non-smoking establishment. Last time, I tried their limited edition Dekopon soft serve, but afterwards, I realized that since Toyotomi is known for its milk, I should have tried the vanilla soft serve. So, this time I went for it. I got the Toyotomi Milk Soft Serve in a small size for 200 yen, served on a waffle. It was delicious! Creamy, milky, and just the right amount of sweetness. It can get quite crowded with tourists during the summer, but it's definitely worth a visit for their tasty soft serve ice cream. They also had other limited edition flavors available, but when in Toyotomi, you have to try the vanilla soft serve.

Yesterday, I could only eat a small size milk soft serve at ferment because I was already full. So, I made a little detour and went back to ferment today. I prepared and adjusted everything since the morning. Finally, I got to try the medium size milk soft serve that I've been wanting. Also, I tried the small size amaou mix. It was really delicious! If only it was closer to my neighborhood... If there was such delicious soft serve in Tokyo, I would visit every day. Even my picky husband loved it. While I was taking a picture of the milk soft serve, my husband couldn't wait and started eating the amaou mix that was given to us. This has never happened before. It's a shame that the amaou soft serve is only available for a limited time this year, so I won't be able to visit again.

On the way to Wakkanai, I made a detour to Toyotomi Town, famous for its milk. Just when I thought the town was about to end, I spotted a cute shop with a long line in the crowded parking lot. I was tempted by the fake soft serve ice cream display. Even though I had just eaten soft serve ice cream 30 minutes ago, I hesitated before checking in. I took some stomach medicine before getting out of the car. I was torn between the seasonal Amaou strawberry soft serve and the classic milk soft serve. I asked a woman who seemed like a regular customer next to me, "If I might never come back here again, which one do you recommend?" She enthusiastically said, "Definitely the milk! It's really delicious! The strawberry is also really good, but go for the milk!" Following her advice, I ordered the milk soft serve. It was so good! It's the best soft serve I've had in the past 5 years, even though my all-time favorite is from Hagoromo Gakuen. I couldn't handle a medium size, so I got a small. I'm determined to come back tomorrow, even if it means taking a detour, to have the medium size. It was a shop I stumbled upon by chance. My soft serve radar and instincts were spot on. (Self-satisfaction)

When you visit Toyotomi Town, you must stop by this shop. Their soft serve ice cream is delicious, with a rich and outstanding flavor that is unique to Toyotomi Town. The interior of the shop is stylish, and I hope they expand to Sapporo. If you are heading to Wakkanai, be sure to visit. Highly recommended! ^ ^

I have visited this shop several times. The miscellaneous goods space right after entering is quite intriguing, but first I sit down and place an order. While waiting, I browse through the miscellaneous goods section (lol). There are many handmade goods, which is enjoyable. Hobbies are great, right? ^_^ When our drinks arrived, I quickly sat down. I ordered a green smoothie, while my husband ordered an iced coffee. The glasses are all so stylish. The meals we had were Sicilian rice, salt yakisoba, eggs benedict, pancakes, and strawberry parfait. Since we visited with family, we were able to try a variety of dishes. The pancakes and parfait don't have photos, but everything was delicious! Soft serve is always tasty, right? I had the soft serve that came with the pancakes. Hooray for rich milk! Thank you for the delicious meal~.

Today's lunch was in Toyotomi-cho (^^)v. I'm okay with anything, but Mom seems to prefer something light. Since there are few dining options in this area, Papa's hard disk is sufficient. So we visited this restaurant. It's located across from a building with a police box called Chuzaisho, so it's easy to find. The parking lot in front of the restaurant is spacious and can accommodate many cars. When we arrived five minutes after opening, there were already two cars parked... amazing! Inside the restaurant, there are miscellaneous goods displayed and sold on the left side of the entrance, and on the opposite side, there are counter seats and a kitchen. We were guided to a table in the back. There are also private rooms and a kids' room. Looks like fun. Now, what should we order? The lunch menu isn't very extensive, and Mom quickly selected "meat sauce." I left it up to Papa. Papa was a bit indecisive... after much deliberation... he finally decided on... Papa: "Udon and rice ball wrapped in meat" set, I chose the "small udon and rice ball wrapped in meat" set, and also added a "small udon." Papa seemed to have hesitated about adding the small udon... I eat quite a lot, you know. Here it comes. Mom's meat sauce seems pretty standard. Let's see... I'll start with the additional small udon. The udon is okay. The rice ball is delicious (^^)v. Oh! The pickled cucumber is heart-shaped! Let's take this home! Papa says, "No way!" apparently. Now... was Papa's choice a good one? Well, I finished everything, so Papa's "udon set" was definitely the right choice (^^)v.

I am weak to the term "limited time only," so I tried the Shine Muscat shake that can only be enjoyed during this season. It was delicious.

This is a Hokkaido-style soft serve ice cream with a rich milk fat content. It is located in a prominent spot in the town. You can choose the size, cone type, and cup. It's perfect for a quick stop to enjoy. The price is also very reasonable.

Mango mix with the option of regular or waffle type corn. Various sizes available, I chose the small size because I eat a lot of ice cream at Larry's. It costs 200 yen.
