Chirorin Village has been around since 1977, and I believe the parent company is Doukyu. I remember when I first tried boiled pasta with a friend right after graduating high school, it was at the Nishi 2 Jo store on Tanukikoji. I think I had a tarako spaghetti with seaweed on top. When I recently visited Chirorin Village, I noticed that they have a lot more menu options now. I was a bit indecisive but ended up choosing the boiled Napoli style pasta. It seemed to be cooked faster than before, probably due to technological advancements. The pasta was cooked al dente and tasted delicious. They seem to use a ketchup with less sweetness, and there was a generous amount of it. It had a slightly strong salty taste, maybe due to the amount of salt used during boiling? It was a bit too salty for my liking. If I come back next time, I'll try a cream-based dish with a Japanese twist, and I realized the importance of trusting my instincts from the past.

There are several stores in Sapporo city! Today I had lunch at the Kitamitsu store! The cost performance is great! The taste, portion size, and price are all perfect! I always enjoy my meals here! Today, after a long time, I had the cream sauce with prosciutto and smoked salmon for 1,200 yen! It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

During a leisurely stroll on a Saturday afternoon, I ended up at what I thought was a nationwide chain restaurant, but it seems to be a local chain called Chirolin Village. Nice to meet you, Chirolin Village! It's a pasta specialty shop. A serving is around 1,000 yen with a generous portion. I believe simpler dishes like Napolitan are in the 800 yen range. If I feel like eating pasta again, I would definitely come back. Thank you for the meal!

Today is the first day of my two-day weekend! It's hot in Sapporo - a scorching heat! Oh no, my wife said, "The vacuum cleaner is broken!" So we headed to K's Denki together. After doing laundry, it's time for vacuuming, huh? It's scorching hot? Totally off track! We did some shopping at Ario Sapporo's "Exciting Plaza" and had lunch. We decided to go to a ramen shop that is rare to find. But my wife said, "The parking lot of the spaghetti restaurant we always go to is empty!" So we went there! It was indeed empty, but very narrow! When we arrived, the seating area was almost full. Two staff members, energetic and welcoming, took our order. We ordered the simple menu items - I got the Vongole and my wife got the Tarako. The presentation took too long, so we asked for a photo before eating. As for the taste, the Vongole was disappointing - the clams were probably frozen, the soup was weak, and the pasta seemed to be dry. I added black pepper and Tabasco sauce to enhance the flavor. My wife warned me to eat quickly before it gets dry. I ended up drinking three glasses of water. After finishing the meal, I realized that although it's a popular restaurant, the cooking staff's skills were quite low. The kitchen was chaotic, despite the excellent service. I don't need spaghetti that I can eat at home - this wasn't pasta! The service was great, but the food was disappointing. When we returned home, we had a difficult time maneuvering in the full parking lot. It was dangerous due to the tight space. Please be cautious!

During a family car dealership tour, we stopped for lunch at an odd time. Perhaps due to the impact of COVID-19, it was not crowded. Chirorin Mura has an unusually large menu, including its affiliated risotto restaurant, which always makes me indecisive. This time, I ordered with more vegetables in mind, but I was disappointed to find less spinach than shown in the sample photo. However, my son's order of something with porcini mushrooms was impressive with lots of ingredients. We shared and ate it, and as always, it was hearty and rich in flavor. I reminisced about the times when I used to eat at the Shin-Sapporo branch. When it comes to pasta in Sapporo, it's Chirorin Mura. I hope they continue to do well in the future.

The other day, the kids were craving pasta after our visit to Jolly Pasta, so we decided to try a different restaurant. We were actually in the mood for curry, but we couldn't find a place nearby, so we settled for pasta. There are many pasta places in the city, but not so much in our area. We didn't have high expectations when we visited this place. We ordered spaghetti with cod roe, spaghetti with meat sauce and mozzarella, and spaghetti with squid and tomato sauce (menu names are approximate). The wait from ordering to getting our food was quite long. One good thing was that the portions were generous. However, the taste was disappointing. The pasta was overcooked and the tomato sauce lacked flavor. The cod roe was unappetizing and I couldn't finish it. I think S&B's pasta sauce from a packet tastes better. The meat sauce was passable, thanks to the cheese. In the end, I felt sorry but left more than half uneaten and left the restaurant. I should have done more research beforehand. I've been here once before, but this time was a letdown. Pasta is expensive, so I regret not choosing curry instead.

It's been a while since I visited Hokko store, and I noticed that the menu has changed. They have reintroduced a medium-spicy dish, Beef and Cabbage with Pepper Sauce. When I visited the New Kotoni store in early January, I found that both Hokko and New Kotoni seem to have similar menus. I wonder if they have done away with their unique store-specific menus. Some differences I noticed between Hokko and New Kotoni stores include handwritten orders at Hokko and machine orders at New Kotoni, credit card payments being accepted at New Kotoni but not at Hokko, and jasmine tea being available at New Kotoni but not at Hokko. Hokko store offers a LINE account with special offers, while New Kotoni provides a drink menu with jasmine tea and pineapple juice. The drink passport system seems to have replaced paper coupons at Hokko. The pasta menu has been updated, and I noticed changes in the Ebi and Kinoko Piri-Kara Tomato Sauce dish, where the shiitake mushrooms are no longer included. Instead, enoki mushrooms seem to have been added. The Nasu Bacon dish was simple and tasty, with well-cooked eggplant and bacon. The drinks seemed to have less volume, possibly due to reduced ice. Overall, I found the changes in the menu slightly disappointing, as some of my favorite dishes have been altered.

"Tirorin Village Hokko Store" is a spaghetti chain with 7 locations in Sapporo. I visited for lunch on a holiday. It was quite busy with young families. The menu is extensive, with over 100 items, including seasonal specials. I chose the classic Carbonara, which took about 20 minutes to be served as it's cooked to order. The portion was generous with al dente noodles, bacon, and a rich sauce. It had a homey, familiar taste. My daughter ordered the Tomato Pasta with Snow Crab, which had a delicious crab flavor. Overall, it's a good choice for those looking for a filling pasta meal or families with young children. Thank you for the meal.

I have used this place many times. It gets crowded during lunch and dinner. I think they have around 10 parking spaces. If it's busy, I might give up, but the turnover is fast so it's okay to wait. The taste is always great! Everything I eat is delicious. The most popular dish is probably the meat sauce bolognese. The carbonara is also amazing, and this time I tried the new menu item, mentaiko cheese (forgot the official name haha). There are no disappointments here. My husband and I always share a salad together... the hot and fluffy potato salad! It's incredibly delicious haha. The potatoes are hot but the salad is cold, the contrast is nice. If I had to say something negative... even the regular portion is quite large! I always end up really full haha. Women definitely can't finish the large portion. Men also seem to struggle with it. I will definitely go back again!

On the way back from a trip to Hakodate, my second son requested pasta for dinner. We searched for a place on the way back and ended up at this restaurant. It brought back memories of Chirorin Village. I used to frequent the shop on Odori when I was in college. Nowadays, fresh pasta is popular, but back when I was a student, there wasn't such a thing, and they focused on promoting boiled pasta. I had completely forgotten about it, but it seems this chain has been doing well. With a somewhat condescending attitude, I ordered the tarako spaghetti, which turned out to be very delicious. My son had carbonara and then proceeded to steal my pasta. The restaurant had fairly dim lighting. I thought it could be a bit brighter. My second son said, "This place is delicious. I want to come back again." That's right. I also enjoyed my meal while reminiscing about various things. Let's come back again! Thank you, Chirorin Village!

Visit date: February 24, 2020 around 11:30 AM. Despite the difficult times, I decided to have lunch at the restaurant "Chirorin Village Hokumitsu Store" to welcome my brother who lives in Sapporo. I know there have been many posts about Bikkudon, Victoria, Steak Miyabi, and other chain restaurants recently, but please don't mind that. This time, I ordered the set with dessert, the "Super Rich Cheese Meat (¥1200 + dessert)". There were also limited-time menu items that caught my attention, but since it was my first visit, I opted for the recommended menu. Additionally, for sharing with my family, we ordered the "Prosciutto and Smoked Salmon Pizza (¥1200)". I was a bit concerned about having pasta, pizza, and dessert all at once, but let's not dwell on that. The first dish that arrived was the pizza. The pizza was reasonably large with a decent thickness. The cheese melted well in the mouth, providing a nice texture. Personally, I used to think it was a waste to use sashimi in other dishes (especially carpaccio), but the combination of cheese and salmon on the pizza worked perfectly. The crispy texture of the pizza was also complemented by the salmon. The price of this pizza is nearly three times that of the pizza at the chain restaurant Saizeriya, but you can see the attention to detail in the dough and ingredients. Next up was the eagerly awaited pasta. The cheese coated the pasta generously, creating a very rich dish that would be perfect for cheese and pasta lovers. When eaten with the meat sauce, the deliciousness is further enhanced. Since cheese was also included in the pizza, remember to take a break for your palate with a drink. After eating two slices of pizza and some pasta, I was almost full, but dessert was still waiting. For dessert, you can choose between roll cake, panna cotta, or gelato, but the dessert this time seems to be something else (maybe chiffon cake?). The honey intertwined with the cake, providing a sweetness with a hint of acidity. The honey on the whipped cream also added to the sweetness. Being full from lunch, I decided to have a light dinner that evening. I hope to visit again and encounter the limited-time menu someday. Thank you for the meal.

I used to frequent this place a lot back when there weren't so many pasta restaurants around. But because it's a delicious place, I still come here occasionally. On this day, I ordered the squid mentaiko pasta and the basil and tomato pasta. The flavors were nostalgic. It's still the same great taste! Thanks to the tomatoes, the basil tasted refreshing. It feels like the portions have gotten smaller compared to before. The shop in the Clock Tower Building is also gone, so this place has become quite precious. Thank you for the meal! It was delicious!

I visited the familiar Pasta Chirorin Mura for lunch after a long time. It was around 1 pm and the place was almost full. There were many menu options, but I ordered the Bacon and Spinach Arrabiata. Since the lunch included a drink that was reduced from 200 yen to 100 yen, I also ordered a drink. The Arrabiata, flavored with a slightly spicy peperoncino and tomato sauce, was delicious with an extra touch. They used thick-cut bacon, and the portion of pasta was quite satisfying. The price is a bit high, as the lunch pasta ends up being over 1000 yen. Thank you for the meal.

It was still bitterly cold in Sapporo in February 2019, with snow covering the landscape. My daughter, who usually prefers Saizeriya, agreed to go to a different restaurant this time. She wanted to eat pasta. As we headed towards Odori Park, I remembered this restaurant on the way and turned the car towards Kita-Kosen. We visited this restaurant for a meal before heading to the Snow Festival. This area is quite competitive for lunch options, and this restaurant was no exception, with only a few parking spaces available. We parked the car and headed towards the entrance. As we entered the restaurant, the scent of garlic, tomato sauce, and steam tickled our noses. The restaurant was not too crowded, and we were able to find a seat easily. There were a few people at the counter and several groups at the table, all enjoying their afternoon in a pleasant atmosphere. The sunlight coming in through the window was a bit bothersome, but the staff lowered the blinds for us. The young staff members were also clean and gave a good impression. We were served water and looked at the menu, with me ordering Bacon and Frank's Ginger Sauce pasta, and my daughter ordering meat sauce along with a small Jaga Mayo Pizza. The small square-cut pizza arrived first, and it was delicious. My daughter really liked it and happily ate it. She also wanted to try the pasta, but continued eating the pizza. My Ginger Sauce pasta arrived, and it tasted nostalgic. It was similar to something I used to eat at another restaurant. The ginger and soy sauce base with bacon added a nice flavor, making me crave some rice. I rolled the pasta around my fork, adding nori and frankfurter. I ate it eagerly as it was hot but delicious. My daughter's meat sauce arrived, but she seemed less interested as she was already satisfied with the pizza. I asked if she wanted me to finish it, and she agreed. I then finished her dish as well, feeling satisfied. We drank some water, paid the bill, and decided to head to the Snow Festival. We received a drink service passport that we can use anytime this year, so we definitely want to visit again. My daughter mentioned that it was more expensive than Saizeriya, but the total cost for the two of us was a little over 2000 yen. The satisfaction and cost-performance ratio were very good. I would like to come back next time to try the tomato sauce pasta. Thank you for the meal ☺☺☺!

When it comes to pasta chain restaurants, it's Chirorin Mura. I occasionally use it. What I like about Chirorin Mura is that the lighting is dim. Maybe because my eyesight is too good? Bright lighting hurts my eyes. Here it's dark, so I feel calm. The menu is always extensive and I have trouble deciding. But after some thought, I go for the No. 4 popular option, Kombu Basil. And a vegetable salad to share with my husband. He chose Bolognese and a mini Tuna Corn Pizza. Both pastas are a bit salty. We talk about how we didn't think it was salty when we were younger as we eat (laughs). Despite being salty, you can see why Kombu's umami and basil's aroma balance well and make it popular. The Bolognese was just Bolognese. The minced meat may have had a slight smell. I tried a bite of the pizza, and the crust is more like bread. But that's okay for this kind of place. The salad is crunchy and delicious. I remember it used to be carrot dressing, but this time it was Caesar. They give you a lot, right? I have gestational diabetes, so I eat 2/3 of the pasta and give the rest to my husband. We finish quickly and head home. Thank you for the meal.
