I saw on the internet that a bakery where people with disabilities work has opened in the former location of a high-end bread shop. I stopped by to buy some bread while visiting my niece's house in Makomanai. The store was spacious and had a quiet atmosphere, with a snack corner at the back. There were about a dozen types of bread displayed, along with baked goods and chiffon cakes. I purchased three types of bread and a chiffon cake that caught my eye. The croissant was light and fluffy with a good buttery flavor, but quite sweet. The butter sugar bread was soft and fluffy, even sweeter than the croissant. The edamame and cheese focaccia was generously sprinkled with powdered cheese. The chiffon cake, made with wheat flour, was incredibly moist and delicious. The bread had a nostalgic Showa-era flavor and was simple and enjoyable, although I wish the sizes were a bit bigger and the prices a bit lower. I'll have to try the snacks next time! Sapporo City's Minami Ward has a newly opened bakery with a parking lot located next to the store. The bright interior also has a corner with nostalgic candies. Their products are mainly soft and homey. The Edamame and Cheese Focaccia is fluffy with a nice saltiness and rich flavor from the edamame, making it a good match for beer. The Butter Salt bread is light and soft with a gentle saltiness, while the Rice Chiffon Cake is moist and fluffy with a moderate sweetness, making it delicious.

I visited a bakery that opened on Ishiyama Street in November 2022. Inside the store, there were plenty of children's snacks. The main types of bread seem to be soft, side dishes, and dessert breads. I bought a fougasse with edamame and cheese. I lightly grilled it and will enjoy it as a snack with drinks in the evening. The edamame is a good ingredient, mixed in generously and delicious. The dough is light and easy to eat.
