I bought and drank Cagliari coffee here before, and it was easy to drink, so I decided to repurchase it and stopped by while I was nearby. I ordered the "Iron Pan Pancake with Honey" for 990 yen and the "Beef Menchi Sandwich" for 660 yen. After ordering, I found out that on weekends, if you order pizza or a sandwich, you get a complimentary iced tea. I waited while watching people boating in the pond outside. The carp here seem to have a good appetite, as they come close and open their mouths when you approach them. By the way, they don't sell carp feed at the boating dock, but I heard that this shop sells carp feed. The Beef Menchi Sandwich for 660 yen had a crispy coating. They use beef from a "hitomai cow" that is fed with a mixture of sugar and honey. I haven't heard of this type of cow before, but the sound of sugar and honey mixed together sounds delicious. The sandwich was really tasty. The Iron Pan Pancake with Honey for 990 yen was topped generously with honey made from beets from Tokachi. It tastes sweeter than when topped with honey. It might be too sweet, but if it has half the calories of sugar, you can just adjust the amount. I also purchased 200g of coffee beans for takeout. The price may fluctuate due to import reasons, so the price was not displayed at the store, but as of July 2023, it was 800 yen for 100g. I will enjoy this coffee at a later date.

A cafe near a friend's house that I visited two years ago. There is a pond nearby where you can feed koi fish. This time, I had the usual pancakes, teppanyaki-style spaghetti, and park pizza. The spaghetti had thick noodles with original sauce, and when you add a little Tabasco, it becomes exquisite. The park pizza was made with whole wheat flour from Hokkaido, with a crispy crust on the outside and a chewy inside.

Located inside the grounds of Shimizu Park, along National Route 274, this cafe is a delightful spot to stop by when coming down from Nikko Pass to Tokachi Shimizu Town. The cafe used to be operated by "Cyan Lulu Megumi" in the past. The location offers a great view of the park, with outdoor terrace seating available. The coffee here is delicious, especially the authentic espresso from the Italian company Cagliari. While the curry and beef mince cutlet were decent, I can't give a true evaluation as I didn't try the recommended iron plate pancakes. This time, I ordered the Shakerato because it was hot outside. The Shakerato is made by shaking chilled espresso in a shaker until foamy, and it was served in this frothy state. The recommended way to enjoy espresso at this cafe is by adding sugar. I found it a bit sweet at first, but when served cold, it was truly delicious. With lotus flowers in bloom, I enjoyed a refreshing moment in the midst of the humid weather.

I went to Salvia-san! The shop is located inside Shimizu Park. You can also have a meal, but the cafe side seems to be stronger. Pancakes seem to be popular. I had a meal there. Grilled curry with salad for 1,089 yen. It was ready in about 15 minutes. It's a baked curry with Hokkaido mozzarella cheese. It's rich and delicious. The curry is made with beef tendons from Tokachi Wagyu beef. Next time, I might just go in for coffee. Thank you for the meal!

I visited this restaurant known for its famous iron plate pancakes. The pancakes come in butter-based or vanilla ice cream-based options, with a choice of sauce and flavor. I chose the butter-based pancake with "honey and butter" topping. It took about 20 minutes for the pancake to be served, as it was cooked on an iron plate. The pancake was sprinkled with powdered sugar and had a slice of butter melting in the center. The texture was moist and fluffy, with a delicious buttery aroma. The combination of the buttery saltiness and the sweetness of the honey was perfect. I may have gone a bit overboard with the honey, but it was still delicious. I wasn't very hungry, but I just had to have these pancakes, and ended up finishing one easily. I also tried their coffee, which was referred to as "magic coffee," although I didn't see any specific menu item with that name. Perhaps all their coffee is considered magical. I didn't think too much about it and just enjoyed the delicious coffee.

I stopped by for some sweets. It's a shop located in the parking lot inside Shimizu Park. Although the takeout orders are placed at the dedicated counter at the entrance, I decided to dine in. There are counter seats, table seats, and about three semi-private raised tatami seating rooms inside. I didn't know this before, but this shop offers a unique coffee that can only be found here in Hokkaido! It's called the "Magic Coffee," a 100-year-old cafe from Modena, Italy, known as Caffè Cagliari coffee, which even captivates those who don't like coffee. This coffee has been loved by famous people such as Princess Diana, Al Pacino, Celine Dion, and Italian opera singer Luciano Pavarotti. I'm intrigued. I tried to call a staff member, but they didn't seem to notice me at all. I had to call them several times before they finally came. Despite having several staff members, it would be better if they were more attentive to customers before taking orders. I ordered the "Solo Chiffon Pistachio + Fresh Cream" for 580 yen, and a discounted set price of 300 yen for an iced cafe latte. My partner ordered the "Iron Plate Pancake Vanilla Ice Base Caramel" for 900 yen, with an additional 200 yen for an Americano. The shop was quite busy on a Saturday with many customers coming in and out. The pancakes arrived sooner than expected, sizzling on the iron plate with caramel sauce overflowing and making a sizzling sound. A bit wasteful, but I'm a bit stingy. The hot, fluffy pancakes with the caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream were delicious. The chiffon cake with pistachio cream had a nice touch of saltiness and a good pistachio flavor. The Americano and iced cafe latte were also delicious, truly captivating. I didn't have high expectations when I stopped by for some sweets, but everything was delicious! I would definitely come back from Obihiro just to have these sweets again, and I would love to try their meals next time. However, I was a bit disappointed with the service of some staff members and the cutlery set. There were only two forks, spoons, and one knife for two people. Since I didn't want to call the staff multiple times, we ended up sharing the knife alternately, making it an unusual dining experience. There are boats available at the nearby pond in Shimizu Park, with rowing boats costing 150 yen for 30 minutes per adult, and pedal boats costing 300 yen. The hungry carp in the pond will come close even if you don't have anything to feed them.

After seeing the photo in the post, I really wanted to eat pancakes, so I drove to Shimizu and had pancakes at Salvia located inside Shimizu Park. I visited at 3 pm and there was only one group of customers. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. Since I'm not used to ordering, I played it safe and ordered plain pancakes with recommended whipped cream on top. I also ordered an Americano coffee. It took 20 minutes for the pancakes to be ready, so I spent some leisurely time at the counter. I was a bit bothered by the strong perfume of the woman at the counter, as I'm not a fan of strong smells. The pancakes were delicious, just as the reviews said. The perfect gooey texture inside was great. It was hot, so when I blew on it, the powdered sugar on top flew up and made my cheeks blush, but it was delicious. I couldn't tell much difference in the coffee compared to what I usually drink, but it was easy to drink and tasty. Next time, I want to try an espresso or something stronger to see the difference.

I heard from a friend about a stylish pancake shop and they took me there. I couldn't try the famous beef toro bowl this time due to stomach capacity (lol), so I had the iron plate pancake that I was looking forward to. The center was half-cooked and creamy, with a crispy outer layer, it was incredibly delicious. I would love to go back next time to try the beef toro bowl!

I stopped by with my partner for a palate cleanser! Ordered an strawberry smoothie soft serve. Despite there being several staff members, we had to wait for a while before finally being able to place our order. The smoothie that came out was small! And it cost 700 or 800 yen! The taste was just average. Hmm... not the most delicious smoothie. Thank you for the meal!

This is in Shimizu-cho. It's located at the entrance or exit of the Nissho Pass, along Route 274, inside Shimizu Park? A red-roofed building at the back of the parking lot of Shimizu Park. It can be seen well from Route 274. The parking lot is shared with Shimizu Park. There are also public toilets, and a good number of cars can be parked. It was a weekday, so there was plenty of space to park as it was still early in the tourist season. I stopped by to get some soft-serve ice cream to go. When I entered the store and was looking at the menu, I was talking about getting kinako flavor, but the staff said, "Sorry, we don't have kinako today." So, how about coffee jelly soft-serve? Or strawberry? There are a lot of strawberry menu items, maybe they are promoting strawberries... I was chatting about this, and the staff said, "I recommend the coffee jelly soft-serve." They were particular about the coffee, and they make the jelly with espresso. In that case, I'll have the coffee jelly soft-serve, please. The soft-serve ice cream on top of the cup was vanilla, smooth and just the right sweetness. The espresso jelly underneath in the cup was dark in color and firm. I prefer softer jelly, but maybe it needs to be firmer so it doesn't get overshadowed by the soft-serve? It's recommended to eat the coffee jelly liquid, jelly, and soft-serve all together as a trio. I later found out they also offer lunch with Tokachi Wagyu beef and pancakes are popular too. Next time, I would like to try their coffee after the meal and spend a relaxing time eating and drinking.

I had heard good things about this place for a long time and finally got to go for lunch today, so I wanted to share my experience. I had the pasta with burdock cream sauce and pancakes with coffee. The pasta was flat and the rich sauce had a strong burdock flavor, it was really delicious! The pancakes were fluffy and came in a skillet. They were sweet and I enjoyed them with butter and syrup. The coffee served here is from Cafe Cagliari in Italy, and it was really delicious too! This is the only place in Hokkaido that serves Cafe Cagliari coffee. I will definitely be coming back soon.

Finally tried the highly anticipated Salvia! I had heard it was delicious but couldn't make it until now. The pancakes were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I heard the coffee is great, but I opted for jasmine tea which was also delicious. The restaurant is spacious with tatami seating. I want to try something other than pancakes next time. And definitely going to try their coffee too!
