Wandering new curry mania / rookie ramen mania, a solo middle-aged man. This is a memo-like review from the old man. If you want concise information about the restaurant and food, please move on to other people's reviews around here. At the end of last year. A restaurant that has been rejected and rejected repeatedly. The restaurant where "lunch ends when the sushi runs out" (the opening time is apparently 11:40) But I finally managed to have it (phew) Last year at the end of the year... - Visiting on weekdays became late and "lunch ended" twice (after 1:00 p.m., after 12:20 p.m.) - Visiting on Saturday was "takeout by reservation only" (it was Christmas Eve...) - On the following Monday, only a sign saying "lunch service ends for the year" and also "lunch undecided until the new year when the ingredients settle down" Oh my. It seems like I have a thin connection. I wonder when it will settle down until the new year. After going through all that, I finally made a visit on a weekday when I had some business to attend to. The location is in Chuo-ku, Minami 2-jo Nishi 12-chome. A sushi restaurant on the first floor of an apartment building. Across the street, there is a classical liquor store. It seems like there is no parking lot. If you head west on "Minami 1-jo Street" where the streetcar runs, past the main store of the long-established sweet shop "Sanhachi," turn left at the intersection. It is located on the second block south. I arrived at the store around 11:35 (Thursday). When I arrived at the store, there was a solo male customer (young) waiting for the store to open. It seems like they put up the curtain early on this day. The interior of the store has about six L-shaped counter seats surrounding the cutting board. There is a small raised area behind the counter seats. Customers started coming in one after another before noon. Oh, the counter seats were quickly filled up. It's tough for the old man if it's a "workday" like this. I wonder if they close after serving about 10 people. As soon as I sat down, I made a quick decision on my order. - Nigiri (sushi) lunch, tax included 1,100 yen It seems like it was 950 yen until last fall. The price increase is inevitable, but it's still within an acceptable range. After the "nigiri lunch," I felt a little unsatisfied, and since "scallops" were not on the lineup, I added an order (scallops, mackerel). The total including tax is 1,750 yen (1100 yen + 350 yen + 300 yen). If you order the normal sushi items, it will be quite expensive. By the way, the "scallops" were removed from the shell upon ordering. The "mackerel" was cut a bit thick. Just a bit. The dishes were served in about 5-6 minutes. Before that, they served "fish head soup." I was surprised at how delicious this "fish head soup" was! I hadn't expected it because I usually don't like "fish head," "collar," or "fin" in fish head soup, as they often have an unpleasant fishy smell. So when I saw the lunch menu with "fish head soup," I was a bit hesitant. But this one seems to have good fish varieties, thorough removal of any fishy smell, skillful seasoning, and a good broth. In my bowl, I had the tail part of red fish and the head of shrimp. There wasn't much meat attached. The "nigiri" consisted of 11 pieces with a roll. They are quite soft, so you need to be careful not to let them fall apart. In terms of the ingredients, they have a richer taste and more fish flavor compared to the chain restaurant I visited at the end of last year. The rice was a bit on the larger side. Don't expect too much in terms of the special feeling of the ingredients at this price. But well, for this price, having lunch at a sushi restaurant where you can have them made for you seems pretty good. I'm curious about the "1.5 nigiri" that was mentioned in the previous reviews. The number of pieces and the price. I might visit on a "Saturday" one day.
