I went on a business trip from Tokyo to Sapporo this time. While driving around Sapporo city, I found a store next to a huge parking lot. I went in and ordered the specialty set called "Miyoshi". It's a combination of curry rice and gyoza, a menu not found in the Tokyo area. Gyoza, curry rice, pickles, and miso soup for ¥660 is a great deal.

I drove to Miyoshino and stopped by for a casual meal. I ordered the Miyoshino set for 660 yen, which included curry rice, 6 pan-fried dumplings, and pickles. The service was quick, and the dumplings were freshly cooked. I enjoyed putting the dumplings into the curry. The taste is reliable and comforting, as expected from the classic curry. I have been eating dumplings and curry for almost half a century. Miyoshino is not widely available in Hokkaido, so it's not considered a soul food for Hokkaido residents. However, I have spent most of my life enjoying Miyoshino, starting from the days when the dumpling curry was only 230 yen. My body feels like it's made of dumplings and curry. The dumplings are lighter than those from Osho, and the curry contains finely chopped vegetables, making it not too spicy but still tasty. The combination of dumplings and curry is outstanding, making the dumpling curry even more delicious. I have tried dumpling curry from other places, but nothing compares to the original Miyoshino. Dumpling curry is best enjoyed at the restaurant. I have recommended it to two friends from Tokyo, and they both agreed that it was delicious.

Sometimes you just crave Miyoshino's gyoza set for 660 yen. Miyoshino is known for their curry and gyoza, so this set is a must-have. I asked for extra spicy seasoning and got a spicy, flavorful curry with just the right amount of rice. The curry is so good! I love this taste. I also added plenty of Fukujinzuke halfway through. The Miyoshino gyoza is served with vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil. The thin, soft skin and juicy filling make it delicious. The perfect balance of flavors. I love Miyoshino's gyoza! The cooking is spot on. Soft and juicy, so tasty. I'm hooked on this flavor. I'm full and satisfied! Delicious and cheap, it's amazing. I'll definitely be back. Thank you for the meal.

I visited "Miyoshi", a popular spot for gyoza and curry, which is considered the soul food of Sapporo residents. Last time I was there, I wanted to try the limited-time menu item "Mapo Tofu Set Meal", but they couldn't give me extra rice, so I had to give up. But not today! I'm going to eat it! It's a limited-time item and I don't know when they will stop selling it, so I feel like I might regret it on my deathbed if I don't eat it now. The "Mapo Tofu Set Meal" costs 900 yen and includes mapo tofu, 6 gyoza, rice, miso soup, and pickles. It's been a while since I had gyoza from "Miyoshi" other than the gyoza curry. Honestly, I don't think the gyoza on its own is that delicious... The gyoza was just okay, but before I could even start on the mapo tofu, I had already finished 5 gyoza and a bowl of rice... There was still one gyoza left... Rice is essential for the main dish of mapo tofu, right? So, I went back to the counter and said, "Can I have some rice, please?" Got my number tag and sat back down... Soon, the rice arrived... And lunch resumed! The mapo tofu was compact in size, with the tofu cut into small dice-like pieces. It had a good flavor with a hint of Sichuan pepper. I finished it as planned, and now I feel like I can depart to the afterlife without any regrets.

My first visit to Miyoshi was around 5pm, near DCM Homac, when I suddenly felt like eating something junky. I ended up at a Chinese restaurant, but it turned out to be a curry and gyoza place. I ordered the Miyoshi set, which included curry, gyoza, and pickled cabbage for only 640 yen. The gyoza was juicy and the curry had a great flavor. You could choose between spicy or sweet, and I chose spicy which was just the right amount of heat and delicious. I'm in the mood to devour a cheese-topped curry in a large portion next time! It was a satisfying meal.

I visited "Miyoshi", a popular spot in Sapporo known for its gyoza and curry, for the first time this year. I was wondering why I hadn't been there for a while. Today, I wanted to try the limited-time menu item, the "Mapo Tofu Set Meal (900 yen)", which comes with gyoza. However, when I asked for a large serving of rice, they said they couldn't do it and I had to order an extra bowl of rice for 210 yen. It was a bit embarrassing to have two bowls of rice, so I ended up ordering the usual – a double serving of their signature dish, the "Jumbo Gyoza Curry (Spicy)" for 880 yen. I noticed that the price has been increasing quite frequently, from 800 yen in December, 780 yen in August, and 740 yen in May. If the Jumbo Gyoza Curry goes over 1,000 yen, I might have to reluctantly go to my least favorite place, "CoCo Ichibanya".

I enjoyed it a lot. Three people, 18 dumplings. We had rice, miso soup, and pickles. This is the gyoza of Hokkaido residents. The garlic flavor is not too strong, and the umami taste is delicious. I easily finished 18 dumplings. I can still eat more. Thank you for the meal!笑

I visited for lunch. I had been here quite a while ago. This time, I ordered the "Simmered Hamburg Steak Set". It came with simmered hamburg steak, 6 gyoza dumplings, rice, miso soup, and pickles. I chose the simmered hamburg steak because it's rare to find it at Miyoshi. It was surprisingly delicious, but the gyoza is still the best. The gyoza is just so tasty. I would like to come back to eat it again. Thank you for the meal!٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

The next day, there was a small event and it was a night without alcohol. I decided to have a meal before heading home.
Ordered:
- Jumbo set meal 880
- Extra large rice 180
- One bite of curry roux 120
Impressions:
The jumbo set meal with 18 dumplings is something I don't often eat outside of Susukino. The pickles are free for refills and have a refreshing taste. I also added a bite of curry to enjoy. Eating in allows you to enjoy the freshly baked dumplings with crispy skin and juicy filling. Taking it home makes the dumplings soft and soggy due to pre-preparation, which is a different but enjoyable experience. I like both ways. I enjoyed trying different ways of eating, such as changing the direction of dipping the dumplings in sauce or putting sauce on rice, and adding curry. The plate was empty in no time, my belly was full, and I headed home. It's nice to have a good meal at Miyoshi. I hope that in the future, we can go back to a world where we can order a set with beer. Thank you for the meal. Thank you very much!

Do you ever feel like you really want to eat a ton of dumplings once in a while? After seeing a certain reviewer's post, I just had to have some dumplings! On my way home from work in the morning, I stopped by. The dumpling set meal with a small portion of rice and half a portion of extra rice (¥498 - same price) is always a safe bet. The dumpling set meal (9 dumplings) with a little bit of rice: the taste is undeniable, there must be some special seasoning (aphrodisiac...) in it! However, the only issue today was the balance. I took small bites of rice like a princess, but one bite of dumpling was enough, yet with 9 dumplings, the rice was insufficient with only about 3 bites! (*`へ´*). Good dumplings need at least some rice to go with them... that's the lesson learned. I have tried delicious dumplings here and there, but Miyoshi's are in a league of their own. They remind me of the taste of my youth in my late teens when I used to dance the night away in Susukino. It's not the sweet and sour refreshing ketchup, but garlic dumplings ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ. That's all, thank you for the meal.

Sapporo soul food Miyoshino! A combination of curry and gyoza that you sometimes crave ▪️ Menu Miyoshino set (regular size) ▪️ Price 560 yen as of September 26, 2020 ▪️ Curry Order spicy, add more spices at the counter if needed ▪️ Gyoza Personally, I think they have enough flavor so I prefer to eat them as they are without adding soy sauce or anything else! ▪️ Impression The price is cheap and it's delicious! I sometimes can't help but say, "Yummy!"^ ^

I visited the Miyoshino Higashikari store for the first time! It's my first time visiting an out-of-town store. It's breakfast after the morning bath. Where should I go to Miyoshino? This place seems to be the closest. It's the Higashikari store. They open from 6 am on weekends, which is convenient. When I entered, there were about 7 customers. Gyoza and curry for breakfast in the morning? Sure, why not, haha. There are cheap breakfast sets available, but I went for the classic "Miyoshino Set" for 560 yen. I took number 3 and sat down. It was ready in about 5 minutes. The gyoza comes in 6 pieces, just the right amount. The curry portion is quite good too. Let's dig in. The curry is hmm, just delicious. Not spicy. There's hardly any ingredients, maybe some melted carrots visible. The taste is the same in all stores, right? I added a lot of Fukujinzuke halfway through and enjoyed the curry. The gyoza is soft and delicious, dipped in a mixture of soy sauce and vinegar. This is the Miyoshino gyoza. I can eat it non-stop. The new pickles are still salty as usual. I didn't go for seconds, but both the gyoza and curry were great. It's really a good restaurant. It must be convenient to have one nearby. I'm envious, haha. Next time, I might try the jumbo size. Thank you for the meal.

On a certain weekday, during a time when things weren't going well, I had an early lunch at Miyoshi in Higashi-ku Kanrai, which is open for business from the morning. The parking lot is shared with other shops so there is plenty of space to park. The interior of the restaurant is not very spacious, with a high ratio of counter seats. The background music is pleasant, with occasional promotional announcements. Since there didn't seem to be any new items on the menu that day, I, a man who simply wanted to eat dumplings, ordered the "Jumbo Set Meal (810 yen)". With the first bite... delicious! The piping hot dumplings, cooked in a machine, came in a generous portion of 18 pieces, satisfying my craving. I couldn't help but notice that there were more hollow parts in the filling than usual, but I dismissed it as my imagination. I enjoyed the dumplings with rice, reaching a state of bliss as I shoveled in the rice. I took breaks in between with the high-salt cabbage pickles, and ended the meal with the grateful extra serving of rice. Finally, I savored the miso soup with fried tofu and seaweed until the last drop. The simple joy of finishing both the dumplings and rice at the same time. Thank you for the meal.

Today I had to work unexpectedly at my job, which has been extremely busy for the past 11 days. But today things went back to normal, and my boss even told me to go home early and rest. Lucky me! So, I decided to stop by "Miyoshino" on my way home to satisfy my hunger with some curry. "Miyoshino" is a popular local spot for Sapporo natives like me. I ordered the "pork cutlet curry" for 530 yen, which was a good deal. The food was okay, not amazing, but the curry was tasty. The staff, especially a friendly young girl, made the experience even better. Overall, it was a pleasant meal, and I might visit again in the future.

Today I finished work early again! Going home♪ Yesterday I turned left on a back road off Route 275! In the mood for soba, I went to "Shinshu-an"! So, how about some gyoza at "Miyoshi-no," the soul food of Hokkaido! Straight down Route 275! Passed the Kariyaku Ohashi bridge! Arrived at a big shopping center! The parking lot is huge, so I parked in front of the store! Inside the store is sparkling clean and feels great! Ordered gyoza, 6 pieces with fresh pickles, rice, and miso soup! It costs 480 yen including tax! After eating, I realized it's been about 2 years since I had gyoza at "Miyoshi-no"! It's delicious! The crispy and chewy skin is just like the "Miyoshi-no" gyoza I had when I was a child! It can compete with gyoza chains on the mainland! PS: The "Miyoshi-no Ramen" I mentioned in my previous post is currently only available at 13 limited stores! I'm sorry!

Jumbo set meal for ¥810. It seems like "3 pieces are grilled." Looking at the menu photo, it makes sense - a serving is 6 pieces, so 18 pieces would be three servings. I was directed to choose my own seat with a numbered flag, as the restaurant was empty at 11 pm. After some wandering, I settled into a window booth. The gyoza arrived, looking deliciously crispy. The 18 pieces were quite intimidating at first, but the thin, crispy skin and light filling made them easy to eat. Before I knew it, they were all gone. It felt like a light, low-calorie treat. It was a pleasure to enjoy "Miyoshi's Gyoza" after a long time.

When you think of gyoza in Hokkaido, it's got to be Miyoshi! Good taste! Good value for money! Miyoshi is known for gyoza and curry. I felt like having gyoza and curry after a long time, so I went for lunch! It was lunchtime, so the restaurant was almost full. I ordered the Miyoshi set meal! 6 gyoza and curry for 500 yen! You can have as much pickles as you want. I am very satisfied.

On September 4th, 2019, Wednesday, at 12:33 PM, it was sunny. I decided to go to "Miyoshino" since I was running low on pocket money. I ordered the Miyoshino set, which includes mapo tofu. You place your order and pay at the counter to the right after entering the front door. Then you receive a table number and wait for your food. The gyoza at Miyoshino is a must-try for Hokkaido people. Once you receive your food, mix soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil in a small dish in a ratio of 1:1, then draw a half circle with it on your plate. Eat the rice and gyoza without curry first. When you finish the gyoza, pour the remaining sauce on top of the curry and enjoy your meal. Thank you for the meal.
