According to their website, this chain restaurant has 51 locations from Hokkaido to Kyushu. I remember there used to be one in Fukushima City about 10 years ago, but it seems to have disappeared. I had just eaten some halfway decent soba earlier, so I decided to check out this place. The restaurant was lively, with a diverse crowd including families. It reminded me of a popular chain like Kokurakuen. I decided to order their miso ramen, which is a must-try here, as well as their Shihoku store exclusive "Chicken Bone Salt Ramen" and "Stamina Gyoza". The miso ramen was delicious and comforting, with a perfect balance of sweetness. The homemade yellow noodles had a nice chew to them. The chashu was tender and flavorful. The Chicken Bone Salt Ramen had a rich and flavorful broth with a hint of chicken oil. The gyoza was well-cooked and satisfying. Despite being slightly pricey and small in portion, I found both dishes to be satisfying in taste. Thank you for the meal. (10/31/2020)

Soy sauce ramen and half fried rice set for 1100 yen. The soup is rich and full of vegetables. The fried rice is also flavorful and delicious. The service is friendly and pleasant.

Ankake yakisoba extra-large portion: 1010 yen. The lively voice of the waitress is nice.

The ankake yakisoba is delicious (ranked 3rd in the Hokkaido region, according to my research). It seems to be an original menu item at the Shibetsu store. The quail egg is a nice touch. I always order the side menu item called "half fried rice." Fried rice with too much oil is common, but this one has almost no oil! It doesn't cause heartburn from old oil. It's better than the fried rice at a major dumpling chain. I want to order a regular serving of fried rice, but my stomach can't handle it... If only there was a set menu with fried rice as the main dish, it would be great.

Sometimes I stop by the Ajino Tokeitai Shibetsu store, which I'm not really a fan of, but it's conveniently located and easy to get to. Well, I still don't like it that much. For ramen lovers like me, it's not really accepted. However, the ankake yakisoba I had the other day was surprisingly good! The sauce was delicious! The balance was good too! If you're unsure, the ankake yakisoba is also a good choice! But, the dish is served in a thin bowl, so it cools down quickly. If it comes out lukewarm, it's not good anymore. It's still Tokeitai after all. So, when ordering, make sure to ask for it piping hot! It's only good for the first 5 minutes, so be careful (laughs). The cute voice of the waitress is also something to take note of...

I arrived at the restaurant in the early afternoon, just as the previous customer was leaving, so the staff seemed quite busy. I was greeted warmly and shown to the counter, where the customer before me was enjoying their delicious-looking ankake yakisoba. Without hesitation, I ordered the ankake yakisoba. The original menu and regular menu were separate, so the ankake yakisoba was considered an original menu item. When the piping hot ankake yakisoba and soup arrived, I first tried the soup - it was lukewarm and lacked flavor. I was surprised. I switched my focus to the ankake yakisoba, which was pretty hot. The Worcestershire sauce didn't seem to get spicier over time. This review is only for the ankake yakisoba. The complimentary soup was unnecessary. I wish they had provided vinegar. Next time, I will try the ramen!

I used to go there often before. I don't go there anymore due to work reasons, but the access is good, which on the flip side, may be the reason why I stopped going as it feels too common in any town I visit. However, the reliable and stable taste is comforting. The noodles seem to be unified within Hokkaido, while the soups are uniquely crafted with special menu items available. I have tried it in Shibetsu, Engaru, and Asahikawa, and in my opinion, it's similar to "○n Pachi" restaurant. The consistency is spot on. Therefore, I hope they thrive more in the local area. Is miso the main flavor?

I drove about 180 kilometers north from Sapporo on the highway, which took about 2 to 2.5 hours. I happened to stop by and felt like having ramen, so I looked for a restaurant in the city, but couldn't find any local shops. I ended up going into a familiar restaurant with a sign hanging outside. It was 8:00 pm and the spacious and bright restaurant was being run by two middle-aged women. Looking at the menu, I noticed their original dish called "Ankake Ramen" for 830 yen. The ramen arrived with clear soup, yellow noodles, and hot ankake sauce on top. The red pickled ginger added a bright touch. The flavor was mild, with no fishy taste in the seafood ankake. The vegetables were cooked well and had a sweet taste. Overall, it was a safe ankake ramen without any outstanding uniqueness or surprises. However, considering the price of 830 yen, I felt like it could use a bit more creativity.

This is a popular ramen chain that I remember originated in Shitagawa or Kenbuchi, in the northern part of Hokkaido. Kumataro is as irresponsible as ever, haha. The basic menu is mostly the same, but the variations can be quite different from branch to branch. Each branch has its own unique characteristics, with some having better quality than others. The taste and preparation can vary, with some branches having a burnt flavor, while others are softer. This particular branch is known for its sweet and slightly small portions. The dishes like Ankake dishes, Chuka-don, Ankake Yakisoba, and Ankake Ramen are popular here. It's a unique taste, with a sauce similar to Mitarashi dango. The staff here are all women, which is quite rare. The curry rice is only available as a set, not as a standalone dish. The food is delicious, but the portions are about half to two-thirds of what you would get at other branches. Overall, it's a chain that may be underestimated by ramen enthusiasts, but its quality and variety cater to a wide range of customers. It may appeal more to those who don't eat ramen often or to families with different age groups.
