The appetizers were also varied and offered for just a few hundred yen. It's a place where you can really experience Yokohama. It feels best suited for a "pre-drinks" gathering.

I stopped by this craft beer place in Yokohama on my way home after watching wrestling at night. I tried pickled quail eggs and a beer called Bay Black. The interior of the restaurant has a stylish atmosphere, the BGM was nice, and I was able to spend a relaxing time. Each of the three beers I had had a different flavor, and they were all delicious. It seems there are many more varieties, so I definitely want to come back again.

As soon as I entered, the area near the entrance was lively with BayStars fans, while the tables at the back were in a position that made it a bit hard to keep track of everything, which made ordering a bit tricky. There were several beers with the name "Yuzu," and I later realized it might be because the artist Yuzu has a connection to that area. The snacks included some traditional Japanese options, along with plenty of sausage, including limited-time offerings. There was a wide variety of beers, making it difficult to choose. It’s great for beer lovers to encounter new beers. I’m sorry I only have this one photo. I think I’ll come back next time to enjoy a baseball game, as it’s a place loved by BayStars fans.

At the popular craft beer house Bay Brewing Main Store, I ordered the following menu item: ⚫︎ 13th Anniversary Yuzu Lager (LARGE) ¥1,130. Previously, I had enjoyed the Bay Pilsner at a different location, and I had a great impression of it, so I decided to visit the main store. The Yuzu Lager highlighted the unique character of the lager beer with its yuzu flavor, making it truly delicious until the very last sip. The atmosphere inside the store was also nice, making it easy to come in alone. If you love craft beer, I highly recommend it!

The house-made beers are all fresh, unique, and delicious—definitely a must-visit again. **Drinks**: I ordered half servings of the Juicy IPA called Uncle Linne, the Dark Lager named Bay Dark, and the White IPA called White Cat. Uncle Linne has a solid body with a tropical nuance. Bay Dark has a porter-like richness but remains refreshing. White Cat has a lingering aftertaste reminiscent of a Hefeweizen. **Cost-performance**: They all taste so good that they feel reasonably priced. **Service**: It’s nice that they offer Wi-Fi and a mobile charging station. On Saturdays, they have continuous service from the afternoon, making it convenient to visit. **Taste & Atmosphere**: They only serve nachos for food, which is why I rated it 3.3. I want to come back next time for more food as well. The atmosphere doesn’t have any particular highlights.

For appetizers, we ordered burdock root kinpira, red sea bream sashimi, and sausages from the beer house. The sausages were thick and long, and their crispiness paired perfectly with the beer. Surprisingly, the pickles were also really tasty! The burdock root kinpira was a unique Japanese dish that I personally found comforting. The sashimi was exquisite, made from the rare red sea bream, which had a strong umami flavor and a chewy texture. It's a great option for a light appetizer, and ending the evening with a beer sounds perfect too.

After attending the "s**t kingz Fes 2024 Momotaro" at the new venue, Yokohama BUNTAI, I headed to “Bay Brewing Kannai Main Store.” I decided to drink a pilsner, which is great since they have a rich menu and reasonably priced beers. I was especially pleased that they serve pilsner in a large mug. I wondered if there are any breweries that offer two types of pilsner. For my first and second drinks, I chose the pilsner. I ordered the regular size of "Ras Potato" for 350 yen and later asked for a refill for 300 yen. Some might find it a bit lacking in salt, but I enjoyed the pure taste of the potatoes without needing ketchup. I recommend opting for the refill instead of the large size, as it allows you to enjoy hot fries. I also had "Ara-jiru" (fish soup) for 200 yen, which I thought was a complimentary item. It was full of fish meat, and I ended up finishing it all. There was an interesting dish featuring deep-fried water eggplant served in a bowl, which looked delicious. Since I had already ordered a refill of potatoes, I felt satisfied. This is a serious brewery, and even as they grow bigger, the quality of their flavors has remained excellent and continues to improve. I tried a mixed platter of three types of Yamato pork for 830 yen, regular Ras Potato for 350 yen, Ara-jiru for 200 yen, refill for Ras Potato for 300 yen, Bay Pilsner for 1,000 yen, and Svetly Lager for 1,080 yen.

They have 14 taps in total, of which 12 are self-brewed, which is impressive. I chose two types of beers: - Bay Pilsner SMALL - 760 yen (incl. tax) (Japan, Kanagawa / Yokohama Bay Brewing): This Czech-style pilsner uses Czech Saaz hops and German noble hops. It has a refreshing hop and malt aroma, with a light and crisp flavor that glides smoothly down the throat. A perfect choice for the first glass, and the quality is high. - Yuzu Weiss HALF - 750 yen (incl. tax) (Japan, Kanagawa / Yokohama Bay Brewing): This fruit wheat beer won a gold award at the World Beer Cup 2024. At first, you might catch a hint of yuzu fragrance, but the impact of yuzu hits your nose before you even sip. When you taste it, the distinct flavor of yuzu bursts forth, stimulating your senses. The base is a wheat beer that is smooth and easy to drink. I've had many yuzu beers before, but this one is truly exceptional. - Fresh Water Eggplant (Raw) - 560 yen (incl. tax): These fresh water eggplants are from Kitano Farm in Senshu, Osaka. The skin has a crisp texture, while the flesh is incredibly juicy and refreshing, with a sweetness that gradually develops. - Quail Eggs Pickled in Beer - 300 yen (incl. tax): The quail eggs are pickled in beer, and the flavor is quite robust, leaving a light beer taste lingering in your nostrils afterward. Thank you for the meal. This microbrewery is absolutely commendable. Not only is the number of taps impressive, but the quality is also excellent, and there is a wide variety of food on the menu. Lately, craft beer has been booming, so I decided to visit for lunch. I tried a wheat beer, IPA, and craft gin, and they were all delicious, ranging from refreshing ones with no bitterness to those with a strong aftertaste. The food was also exceptional; the stuffed peppers and the water eggplant were incredibly fresh and tasty.

Craft beer lovers will find a wide variety here. The Rauchbier (smoked beer) is incredibly smoky and rich, while the Yokohama Weizen is very easy to drink. The pickled eggplant pairs surprisingly well with these beers. In the summer, enjoying beer and eggplant is definitely a winning combination. This place is highly recommended for those who want to try different kinds of beers.

The pride of Japanese craft beer, Shinya Suzuki, leads the Hamano Craft Beer Brewery. They have expanded to Kannai, Totsuka, and Yokohama Station, and they're really booming. This is my second visit, made on a Saturday at 3 PM, a great time to go. Depending on whether the BayStars have a game or not, the crowd situation can change, so be cautious. In 2024, I revisited last night at Ippai Bay Brewing Kanagawa Main Store in Kannai. I started with Ippai Yuzu Weiss, a beer that won a gold medal at the World Beer Cup 2024. The citrus flavor of yuzu is quite prominent; personally, I prefer a more subdued yuzu flavor. From the daily snacks, I had yellowtail sashimi, which had a delightful crunchy texture—so delicious! The Bay Pilsner had a pleasant bitterness and went down smoothly; it was really tasty!

Since it was Golden Week, I made a reservation to visit. Even though it was Saturday at 2 PM, the place was quite lively. There were people sitting at the counter enjoying drinks alone, couples, and more. The selection of beers was impressive, and I had a hard time choosing, but I ordered the Italian Pilsner and West Coast IPA. The Italian Pilsner had a mild bitterness and was easy to drink, while the West Coast IPA had a fruity bitterness that I really liked. For my second drink, I tried the Double Rush Yuzu, which had a rich aroma and was delicious. The accompanying snacks, the Ras Potato and Cheese Fries, had a nostalgic taste and were tasty as well. Wow, Yokohama has so many wonderful craft beer places!

I visited a place to adjust my time and have a beer. I didn't expect there to be so many taps, so I pondered for a while before deciding on a half serving of peach wheat. The aroma of peach was strong, but the taste wasn't sweet at all, which I found delicious. I wanted to order another drink, but I decided to leave quickly. The food looked tasty too!
