In between shopping, I stopped to have some Zangi to satisfy my hunger. The area was filled with seafood bowls and other hearty dishes, so I decided to order some Zangi for a light snack. They told me they were closing soon, so I hurried to order. I only wanted a little bit to eat, but they served me two skewers which was quite a generous portion. When I tried it, the crispy texture with the sauce was really delicious. It was a proper Zangi. Thank you for the meal!

I forgot to take a picture, but I bought 5-6 large pieces of chicken for 500 yen. The friendly lady at the shop recommended a cozy spot in the back. The chicken was juicy, with plenty of meat juices, and piping hot. I ordered a drink and got a 100 yen discount. It was delicious.

There is an idol unit called "Ippotoukou" that originated from Sakaimachi-dori shopping street. The unit consists of three middle-aged men who are the owners of three shops in the shopping street: Omiami owned by the president of the kombu store, Wajee owned by the jewelry store executive, and Ryoji owned by the president of Takeda's zangi shop. I decided to try the zangi shop this time. The zangi shop used to be a soup curry shop in Asasato, and I have visited it a few times before. The zangi here is delicious. I ordered the skewered zangi, which comes with 3 pieces for 450 yen. You can choose from 4 different sauces, and I chose the salt-based sauce. The zangi was juicy and very tasty. I remember trying it once before and not being very satisfied, but this time it was delicious. I also saw someone next to me enjoying their fried potatoes, which looked appetizing too. I will definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal!

In Otaru, seafood is great, but Zangi is also delicious! It's a Hokkaido-style version of fried chicken, a popular snack on Sakaimachi Street in Otaru. When you're taking a leisurely stroll, if you get a little hungry, try some Zangi! You can choose from 4 different sauces, with the most popular being salt sauce. The freshly fried special Zangi is delicious! Enjoy it with Otaru beer! I want to become a man who can make Zangi like this.

I visited Takeda's Zangi after enjoying a tour in my hometown using the subsidy money. This shop is a take-out place located near the Music Box Museum and LeTao in Otaru. They offer freshly fried Zangi with a choice of four different sauces. I chose the ponzu sauce. They also have a beer set, so I added ¥100 to try the Otaru Pilsner beer. The hot and crispy Zangi paired perfectly with the cold beer. The staff were friendly and I would love to try a different sauce next time.

When you think of Hokkaido, you think of Zangi!! Fried chicken - even though I was already full, I don't know why, but I was tempted by the long potato fries and ended up buying them!! Haha, it was the long ones! Haha.

It was a normal experience, but the food tasted great as we enjoyed it outdoors on a sunny day. In addition to zangi, they also offered Otaru beer, draft beer, and meat-wrapped rice balls, which were enjoyable. I was struggling to find lunch options, but this place filled me up. I was curious about a drink called Wine Ball that I had never heard of, but decided not to try it this time.

On a certain holiday in Otaru, here is a food tour at Takeda's Zangi. It's a new place for me. Here's what we ordered:
- Long potato with salt: 600 yen
- Takeda's Zangi: 550 yen
- Otaru Beer (Pilsner): 600 yen
There is a resting area behind the shop. The Zangi and potato were both quite delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Zangief's appeal lies in gradually closing the distance with the opponent using projectiles, normal moves, and walking jumps to create a sense of pressure, then attacking like a wild beast once catching them, dealing significant damage not just to the opponent but also to the player themselves. Hello! This is Takumon, a Virtua Fighter fan ☻ Today's spotlight is on "Takeda's Zangi" located about a 10-minute walk from Minami-Otaru Station in Hokkaido. Opened in March 2018, named after sign maker Takeda-san. Takeda's Zangi!! I visited on a weekend afternoon. The 12th stop on my Hokkaido Street Fighter journey. When it comes to Zangi, it's all about Zangief, and when it comes to Zangief, it's all about Itabashi Zangief! So, I had to try it. In Hokkaido, "Zangi" refers to fried chicken. It is said to have originated in the 1950s when a chicken restaurant in Kushiro city started cutting a whole chicken into pieces and frying them. The name "Zangi" is believed to have come from the Chinese fried chicken dish "Zha Ji" or "Za Ji," with the addition of "n" for good luck. The aroma caught my attention while sightseeing. I couldn't resist stopping by this street stall-like shop. - Zangi: 550 yen, with a choice of 4 sauces. I went with cheese mayo this time. The generously sized Zangi came in a cup. It was piping hot and delicious. I enjoyed it while walking around. Of course, I could feel the envious glances from passersby. The texture was firm and tasty. They also sell takoyaki and beef skewers. For a heartwarming snack while sightseeing, Takeda's Zangi is the way to go. Thank you for the meal. This was Takumon reporting. Cheers!

Otaru's must-try food is Takeda's Zangi! But one thing to watch out for is its size! After trying various foods, this dish packs a punch as the finishing touch! You can choose from different types of mayonnaise, but I prefer garlic mayo^_^ It's delicious! Osu osu!

A specialty Zangi shop facing Sakaimachi Street, a representative tourist spot in Otaru. Zangi is basically seasoned chicken karaage with a strong taste of ginger and garlic. This shop sells Zangi on skewers (¥400) and in cups (¥500). I bought the cup version this time, which comes with a choice of 4 types of sauce (I forgot the types). Normally, Zangi is well-seasoned, and sauce is rarely added (although there is a dish called Zantare in some regions). When I asked the staff for a recommendation, they suggested the salt sauce. The Zangi itself had a delicious strong garlic flavor, and the salt sauce added a perfect amount of saltiness that made me crave rice or beer. The unique taste of this shop's Zangi is quite appealing in my opinion. Speaking of Otaru, a certain shop's half-fried chicken is famous, and although they shouldn't be compared, it might be fun to try both while exploring Sakaimachi Street.
